Chapter 163

Sharon bought foodstuffs on the way, she was so happy to prepare a meal for Ben.

They went home together and prepare food together.

“Let’s eat outside the house” Ben suggested.

Ok, they set table outside and brought their food to the table.

Sharon ran inside and brought out soon wine but put it back because they contain alcohol.

“I don’t think Ben takes alcohol.” She brought juice instead.

“Let’s pray” Ben said and Sharon pause, she has never had to pray before eating, this is first. She drop everything and Ben pray and she said amen.

After eating they sat outside for a long time chatting and laughing when Ben suddenly ask her if her divorce.

“Why is he so interesting in he divorce?” Sharon ask herself.

“Well, Patrick refuse to sign the papers, but he has no choice he must those papers” Ben look at her and ask.

“Do you still love him?”

“I don’t know, I don’t know why I even married him in the first place, ok, I know, is my mum, she was on my neck, wanting me to get married by fire by force.”

“So you never loved him” Ben ask again.

“I was ready to stay, I wanted it to work out, but can’t you see? We are not meant to be together. This is the best thing to do”

“Hmmm, so how do you feel getting a divorce”

“Free, happy, that is all I feel”.

“Hmmm, don’t you think you should give it one more try?” Ben said.

“No Ben, I’ve trying all I can, is not working, I can’t even get pregnant, what is the use of getting married. Single will be the best”

“Don’t say that, a beautiful girl like you can’t be single”.

“Yea, I think this beauty has become a curse for me, girls who are not as beautiful as me are getting married and giving birth to children, living happily ever after, but what about me that is beautiful?”

“Don’t say that, you’ve not met the right person, when you do all that won’t matter”

“You think so?”

“I know so”

Patrick keeps calling Sharon phone the whole time.

“Take your call” Ben said.

“Hello”

“Sharon where are you?, Am in your house, can you please come out”.

“What?” Sharon cut the call and face Ben.

“Is Patrick, he’s outside my house. He wants to come in”

“Let him” Ben said.

“What? No, I know Patrick, he is going to cause a scene and I don’t want to hurt your feelings for coming here”

“No problem I know that, just let him in” Ben said knowing fully well what he is getting himself into.

Patrick keeps calling on the phone and ringing the doorbell.

Sharon reluctantly went to open the door.

Sharon why are you not answering your calls, am so worried about you…” he pause as he walk in and saw Ben.

“Who is that? Oh what is he doing here?” Patrick ask walking closer to Ben.

“Hi Patrick” he greeted him but Patrick didn’t respond. He just turned to face Sharon.

“Don’t tell me is because of him you refuse to take my calls.”
