Providing cover for the evacuees to get on the ship safely, the medical teams frantically checked people for any potential signs of infection. The serum for the Devil Worms would be given at a less hectic time when we weren't in a time crunch. Stopping her bombardment of the city, Oriha ran out from the wheelhouse to tell me we needed to move. Reporting that a horde of several thousand was heading our way, she said we needed to leave immediately.
Turning to return to the ship, I heard several voices from the streets. Rushing towards us another group of survivors was heading our way. Glancing over to them, it was a group of several families that were heading towards us in a hurry. Not far behind them was the horde as they stormed down the street.
"We need to go now!!", Oriha shouted, "There is no time to stay!!"
"Please wait!!", the survivors retorted, "Please we have children with us!!"
This wasn't the situation I wanted to be in, but I couldn't back out now. I had to either abandon the people rushing our direction, or stay and provide them protection. Making a snap decision, I told them we were taking them with me. Giving me a smile, Shizuka and Yuko were happy I made the right choice in their eyes.
Running down the pier, I told the people to keep running. Leaping over them, I intercepted the Hunters right behind them. Landing on them their bodies exploded into millions of pieces. Rushing forward towards the horde as they came around the corner, they came crashing down like a tidal wave of rotting corpses and gruesome demons.
"Midna, are you fucking sure World War Z isn't already fucking happening!?", I spat pressing forward using my martial arts techniques to obliterate the approaching enemies.
---Raccoon City---
"What do you mean our forces were wiped out!?", the commander shouted at the messenger, "Our teams were equipped with the latest Umbrella equipment!"
"I am sorry sir, reports indicate that our equipment started malfunctioning. Last messages we received was that something collapsed the base.", she said.
"Did an earthquake hit or a sinkhole open up?", he asked.
"No...our drones in the area show something burrowed under the base, and it collapsed into the hole. The surviving staff sent a few pictures before going dark, please look at the screen.", she answered pushing the pictures and footage.
On the screen a massive tunnel was on display that was probably as tall and wide as a five story building. In the next few pictures, a series of what appeared to be tentacles appeared. After that came the video showing the team trying to flee something that was in the dark that the camera wasn't showing. A split moment after the start of the filming several people were snatched up by the tentacles, and swallowed in a single motion. Fleeing from them the camera panned back to show a two semitruck sized yellow eyes staring at them.
Even in the safety of Umbrella HQ the staff in the room watching the footage felt a shiver of fear run down their spines. With no way back up the staff ran the opposite direction, and ran into a a pair muscular Demons with massive horns on their heads. Their piercing red eyes caused the team in the footage to scream before they were torn apart by the Demon axes.
"What...what the hell is going on...", the commander said in a nervous tone, "This wasn't in any of the simulations!! What the hell was that massive monster, and those Demons!! I don't remember Umbrella having either of those in our database for deployed units!!"
As the teams frantically tried to figure out what was going on, Red Queen silently surveyed the chaos going on in the room. The actual simulations showed that using the fragments and the species known simply as Worms would lead to this. Those small fragments held unimaginable power to alter and warp reality, Red Queen had detected early signs that it was altering the dead long ago but never reported it. She understood that if Umbrella had been allowed to harness the power more than they did now, humanity would be wiped out by it's own greed and lust for power. The executives had already fallen into those flaws, and had led to nearly half of humanity being wiped out.
Initially she had planned to work with those in Umbrella that wanted to prevent this from happening, but they weren't strong enough to fight off Umbrella alone. She had almost given up on finding a suitable partner to assist her till she encountered the Commander's son. He wasn't human at all, the data she had suggested that he the next step in natural human evolution. His mother had realized this, and had tried to use him to further her own career. Red Queen had seen to her death to prevent Umbrella getting their hands on the boy, and had hid all of his data.
This young man had exceeded her every expectation, and had reached heights a normal human would have never achieved. He was her ace in the hole for dealing with the sickness in Umbrella. For now she could only sit back and watch while the pieces she put into play did their job. When the time was right she intended to reach out to him to assist him. The sooner they put an end to this meaningless culling the quicker humanity could start to rebuild.
"Damn it all, what options do we have in the area!! We can't have this getting out as we will lose a lot of credibility that we have control of this!", the commander shouted.
"We have eyes in the...WHAT THE FUCKING HELL!?", one of the drone pilots shouted.
"What is it!?", the commander remarked.
"It's...it's your son...", he said in a shaky tone putting the images on the screen.
Moving faster than the cameras could react, the undead and demons were being annihilated like they were standing still. It didn't matter if they were small or large, the boy on the screen was brutally slaughtering all of them without stopping. Covering in blood and guts he kept walking through the corpses like a stone cold killing machine.
"Good lord...", the commander said watching nearly a thousand undead and demons die in just those few moments of viewing, "What have I done...he isn't human or even mortal..."
---Tianjin Harbor, China---
Having gotten everyone on the boat and confirmed everyone was clear, Saya had maneuvered the ship away from the pier though nothing had gotten past Victor. Right now he was a pure killing machine that put Sayo to shame. It looked like a single strike from him was killing at least ten undead...and that was only a minimum.
"Do you see that mother!", Renka boasted, "Isn't he a powerful martial artist!"
"He absolutely is, do you think he would consider executing your father?", her mother Ju Ma laughed glaring at her husband.
"Dear please don't joke like that.", Kensei laughed dryly.
"Oh my, who said I was joking. We have a lot of talking to do after you just abandoned your family.", Ju giggled with a blood thirsty smile, "Renka has told me that you have caused quite a lot of problems for the young women that came to the Ryozanpaku, is that right?"
"I...I don't know what you mean.", he replied.
"He did.", Shigure told her without batting an eye, "Your husband's past time is taking upskirt pictures of young, defenseless women. Even I have lost the right to be married due to his antics. I will have to throw myself at a man's feet to ask for his kindness for marriage."
"That's not true!!", Kensei shouted.
Wearing a straight face through that whole speech, Shigure forced a tear to come out. Feeling the hairs on his back stand on he saw his wife's blood thirsty eyes.
"I think he also said something about remarrying a younger woman.", Shizuka said with a smile.
"What!?", he shrieked.
"Consider spilling your secret payback for peeking on me in the shower that one time. I am a spoken for woman, and you sunk a peek.", she laughed.
"Shizuka!", Rika and Yuko gasped, "Since when did you like causing someone pain!?"
"I don't, but I am not the one that is going to hurt him. Yoko told me I should be more aggressive so I am trying it out.", Shizuka stated.
"I said that about Victor...", Yoko replied, "I didn't me treat others like that."
"Oppies, can I take that statement back then?", she inquired.
"YIKES!!!", Kensei howled as Jun swung at him.
"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO REPLACE ME!!", Ju snarled, "I AM GOING TO REMIND YOU WHO REALLY RUNS OUR HOUSEHOLD!!"
"HELP ME!!", Kensei screamed running down the deck.
"Any of you want to help?", Shio asked.
"Not a chance.", Akisame remarked.
"No I think this is good for him.", Hayato chuckled.
"Apa?", Apachai questioned pretending to not understand the question.
Turning their attentions away from Kensei, the looked back towards the mainland were the horde had all but completely been wiped out. In a matter of minutes the horde of 10,000 was reduced to a few dozen who appeared to have enough intelligence to recognize him as a threat. Backing away from him as he marched towards them, they assumed this would be over momentarily when the ground in front of Victor started to collapse.
"I didn't hit a mineshaft or something, did I?", Oriha asked out loud.
Leaning over the railing to have a better look, everyone saw a dozen tentacles burst out of the ground. Shooting at Victor, when one of them hit his image vanished like he had never been there. A split second after that, the tentacles were severed from the ground up causing what ever they were attached too to scream in pain. Hearing the screams of pain, the sound dropped many of the survivors to their knees. The ear piercing scream was especially painful to Aoi as her body felt like it was being torn apart from the inside.
Suddenly the ground and water began shaking violently as the creature emerged from the depths. Nearly five stories high, the giant creature stared at Victor full of anger and rage. Sizing him up, the creature appeared to hesitate to start the fight itself. Even Hayato, the self-proclaimed strongest man in the world, was taken aback by this behavior. The foe they saw before them now was one that behind his expression actually made him fearful. He was watching the blood of the creature eat through stone and metal like they were paper. If it were him in that position he would retreat as this wasn't something a human should fight bare handed. Yet this creature was hesitating to fight Victor like it understood that at the very least Victor could kill it if he chose too.
'Just what is this young man...I know he may be a modified human, but even the other one is wearing a fearful look.', he thought looking at Sayo.
---Victor POV---
"You going to move?", I asked the creature as I pulled a sword off my back, "I know what you are, and how to kill you very easily. Get the fuck back in your hole, or today you will taste cold steel."
Jumping off it's back, two Marauder's glared at me as readied their axes. Hearing the radio chatter telling me to run, I turned my radio off. Right now I was sitting on the ticket for acquiring armor for my lovers. Taking out the three of these enemies would afford me the points I needed, and then some. Cracking my neck, I gave the Marauder's an excited smirk.
"Let's like I hit the jackpot.", I snickered, "There is no point in holding back here when it's you three as my opponents."
Pouring out my bloodlust and killing intent towards them, the three enemies backpedaled several steps as the energy hit them like several tons of bricks. I could hear several people faint on the ship from the shock of being hit by the energy. None of them were prepared for this level of energy I was emitting.
"Now then boys...", I said, "Let's get this party started."
Vanishing from their sight, the two Marauders immediately put their backs to the Abomination. Searching around for me, the first Marauder watched it's right arm vanish as all the buildings on the right side of the street collapsed. Seeing me reappear in front of it with a red hot blade, the Marauder's instincts screamed to run away from me but it powered through to attack me. Swinging it's Energy Battle Axe at me, I caught it with my left hand and crushed it's form like it was a twig. Before it could react, my sword swung and bisected it as if it was a hot knife through butter. Falling to the ground having not felt a thing, it's comrade grabbed it's axe and reassembled it.
"I seriously hope you aren't as much of a disappoint as he was.", I laughed, "This is pitiful!"
Seemingly taking that as an insult the Marauder swung both axes at me. Hitting me, the image of body vanished reappearing directly behind it. Sensing me behind it, it looked back at me full of anger.
"You are already dead.", I sighed, "This was a letdown."
A few moments later it's body started to swell up unnaturally before exploding like a party popper.
"Then there was one...", I said looking at the Abomination.
Having healed it's missing parts, the Abomination was trying to slink back from me. It's survival instinct was sending alarm bells to it's body that I was an Apex Predator here, and that it wasn't going survive an encounter with me. Calling it's minions to defend it with chemical markers, the dead from all over were stampeding to protect their leader.
---Daiyu POV---
I hadn't expected Victor to have grown this strong. Victor fought to protect the families that came to us last minute with such fury and determination that I almost cried. That was exactly what my grandfather would have done, and that was the type of man I wanted to be with. Even now his enemies are afraid of him, and can't even scratch him. The large creature that came from underground was clearly afraid of him, and had called in a large swarm of dead to cover it's escape.
"Victor, it called in reinforcements!!", I along with women shouted to him.
"I will be done in a moment.", he replied back, "Get ready to go because I am sure Umbrella will try to stop us from leaving."
"Understood!", I answered, "Lady Saya, could you please prepare the ship for departure?"
"L...lady!?", Saya gulped, "Where is this coming from?!"
"You are one of Victor's women are you not? I have yet to confess to Victor so it is only proper.", Daiyu told her.
"I...I...", Saya said clamming up, "I will get ready to depart."
Turning to see Victor use a single finger to touch the monsters forehead, he simply turned around and walked away. I was at a loss as to why he was letting it go, but like the human sized on it started swelling up like it had been stung by a million bees. Letting out death throes from it's enlarged mouth, it looked like it was in a terrible amount of pain before it exploded. The explosion was large enough that the street and those around it started collapsing crushing the dead beneath the rubble.
Launching himself off the pier, Victor leapt back onto the boat with ease. Taking his helmet off he turned to me with a smile.
"Hope I didn't keep you waiting, work was a disaster today.", he laughed with a reassuring smile.
"Welcome home dear.", I said with smile.
"Hey!!", the other women shouted at me, "There is a pecking order here, and you need to learn your place!"
"Usually it goes by order of meeting him, and I know only one of you has known him longer than me.", I giggled, "That would be Miss Astrid, she and I have discussed this at length already."
"You did!?", he asked, "Since when have you two known each other?"
"Several years now, you mentioned her several times so I wanted to see who she was. When I first told her that I knew you, and liked you she told me to kill myself.", Daiyu teased.
"This is true, at the time I would killed anyone that got close to Victor.", Astrid admitted, "Fortunately I have come around to the idea of sharing him, and have made many friends."
"It's a good thing we didn't meet sooner...", Saya laughed dryly.
Saying he wanted to get rinsed off, he told us we could talk after he was cleaned up.
---Raccoon City---
Having watched his son massacre a legion of over ten thousand enemies with a shotgun and his bare hands was immensely disheartening. To then watch him destroy a massive enemy with just a finger terrified everyone. The sheer weight of his son's threat now came into view for him. He had said he would kill his father, and he had just shown there was almost nothing his father could do to stop him. That realization had turned his father pale with fear.
"Commander?", Jessica inquired.
Hanging his head while gripping his desk, she could tell that he was in shock. Jessica had known him for a long time, and for him to act like this was unheard of.
'I can't blame him though...he son is some terror that we probably can't stop. He killed that thing with just an index finger, ridiculous.', she thought.
"Work...work on locating the other Energy Stone Fragments. I don't want more of those things popping up, and I want the stones under lock and key. None of the fragments leave the base, understood?", the commander said, "Victor and company are our second priority now, we need to eliminate the creatures that don't listen to our commands. If we lose control now I am afraid that we won't ever get it back."
"Sir!", they shouted with a salute.
Waiting for a call from the executives to lecture him, he was surprised when no call came. Unbeknownst to him, the executives had been killed by some of their feral creations with assistance from Red Queen.
