......

Grey eyes Pov.

I stand still as I watch her limp away.

Her stance looked tired as she walked.

Well I wouldn't blame her since a jerk just hit her and she twisted her ankle.

But she's has always been like that.

Ever since I met her, she's been weird.

Everytime I look at her, I see this hidden fear tucked away in her blue eyes.

Ever since I bumped into her, I noticed.

She might not remember, but I did.

I still do.

Then after three years, we meet again.

God knows I so wanted to kill that old man that day.

I used every once of control in me to stop myself.

But then she ran away from the hospital.

I was pissed of course but if it were to be me, I'd also run away.

Of course she doesn't remember me, but I do.

How could I forget the girl who made my heart stop for four seconds when I looked into her eyes the first time I met her?

My phone rings and I answer the call without taking my eyes off her.

"Speak to me."

"Speak to me?! SPEAK TO ME?!" She shouts.

Oh god.

"I have been standing here for the past twenty minutes and I still haven't seen your dickhead anywhere!"

"Aw you missing me already?"

"Nick!" She shouts and I move the phone away from my ear a little bit.

"I had to take care of some business." I turn and walk back to the cinema.

"What kind of business?" She asks.

"Doesn't concern you."

"Nick you know-"

"Bye." I cut her off and ended the call.

I already have one mom nagging at me. I don't need another.

in five minutes, I got back to the building and I see her face.

"Hey you." I roughen her hair and she slaps my hand away.

"Where have you been?" She folds her arms together.

"Business."

"My best friend had to leave so we are eating dinner together."

I wanted to take her home.

"Why?" I ask her.

She said no.

"Her mean aunt called."

I wanted to walk her home.

"So no dinner?" I ask again.

She said no.

"It's still on. Just the two of us."

But I just couldn't let her walk home alone at night.

"So you ready?" She asks.

I just couldn't.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go." I bring out my key and throw it at her.

"Nick-"

"Drive yourself home!" I start to walk away.

"My best friend just left, you can't ditch me too!" She shouts.

"I'll make it up to you!" I shout back and ran towards the direction she went.

I ran for solid seven minutes until I finally found her small frame like 150 feet from me.

I slow down and continue to follow her limpy body.

If I couldn't walk with her, at least I could walk behind her.

She was still limping but this time, she had loosened her ponytail and her steps seemed slower.

Shit.

She stumbled and I almost ran to her side but then I remembered I'm not to be seen.

She rests on a nearby car parked on the road and rests for some minutes.

"Gosh! I hate my life! I really hate it!" She shouts.

"Why do you hate your life?" I mutter to myself.

She stands back up and continues walking.

We walk for almost twenty minutes until she finally stops.

She looks at the house in front of her and hangs her head low.

Doesn't she want to go home?

Her shoulders slumps and her hands clenches into fists beside her.

I also look at the house and it seemed normal. Nothing strange or anything.

'Your house also seems normal from outside doesn't it? But look what's inside.'

A voice says in my head and I shake my head to snap out of it.

She finally walks towards the door and into the house.

Why would she-

My phone rings, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Hello?"

"Yo Nick, you in the area?"

"I'm in Lakesway street."

"Perfect. Let's meet up I'm near."

"Meet me at the diner at fifteen?" I ask.

"See you there. Quick question though."

"Fire away."

"What are you doing at Lakesway street?" He asks

"I'll see you in fifteen." I hang up.

Well then, seems like it's back to business.
