Chapter 10- Regretful Decision

"Never thought my mommy had love blindness disease," Liu Feng said, shaking his head, after hearing his mother's full love story and how she lost her two decades of youth waiting for a spineless person.

"Ouch!"

"Why did you call me that?" Liu Erlong tapped his head with her fist for being called an idiot indirectly. He turned his head to stare at his mother's attractive face, where there was a concealed sadness in the depths of her every emotion and gripped his palm, angry for Liu Erlong to become solitude for a person.

"Then don't you think it was terrible to live in loneliness for twenty years waiting for that coward," Liu Feng spoke quietly, leaning his head on her trembling shoulder. Liu Erlong was furious at her son for labelling Yu Xiaogang a coward, but she couldn't scold her dear son whom she adored. She looked into her son's ocean-blue eyes, which were serene yet filled with overwhelming rage.

"Yeah, he was wrong to not even contact me for all these years, but he's like you, son, with low innate spirit power but he accomplished great contributions like Ten great core spirit competencies," Liu Erlong said as she arched her head back in the bathtub and Liu Feng calmly saw her mother's troubling face with a sad expression.

"Not to mention his knowledge about Spirit beasts and Spirits is highly prized by some big powerful clans even after his own clan banished him but he didn't back down to prove himself," said Liu Erlong with a smile as she glanced at her son who was staring at her sorrowfully for some reason she didn't understand.

"All those Ten core spirit competencies theories are copied from the Spirit Hall Library, at least he should have tried to prove those copied ones wrong, but he just never did it, only copied and pasted into his book," Liu Feng said as he rose from his mother's embrace and sat on the edge of her hot tub, his mother looking at him with an expression of bewilderment.

"And my actual innate spirit power is 10 because of the Second Spirit the quantity of spirit power decreased but Mommy I can proudly say I put an effort to reach this point in my life but Yu Xiaogang never tried other than self-proclaiming," Liu Feng said while Liu Erlong clenched her fist feeling agitated in her heart that she couldn't bear the bad talk about her lover any longer.

"For Knowledgeable, there's Clan Head Ning Fengzhi, my Grandfather, and finally Supreme Pontiff of Spirit Hall are the ones I admire even though there was talent in them in the sense they never neglected to acquire knowledge but I doubt Yu Xiaogang really tried to look for new things to gain knowledge," said Liu Feng and Liu Erlong was losing control, but Liu Feng didn't care about her stupid love.

"Mommy, you loved a coward and wasted your precious time waiting for a person like him," Liu Feng replied, folding his arms.

"That's enough!" Liu Erlong yelled at Liu Feng as she abruptly stood up and lifted her arm to slap her son as hot water spilt out of the hot tub.

Liu Feng's face was astonished when his mother raised her voice against him, while Liu Erlong convulsed with the realisation of her behaviour and instantly tried to explain, but Liu Feng had already risen up with an emotionless face and left the bathroom.

"What have I done?" Liu Erlong asked, falling to her knees in the hot tub and covering her mouth as tears streamed from her eyes.

He grew annoyed as he stood near the bed, thinking about his words about Yu Xiaogang, whom his mother loves, and wearing the dress that was on the bed while his wet body did not dry out.

After leaving the house, he swung the kunai very high into the sky, and his body flashed to the point where his kunai paused in the air, observing the entire Blue Tyrant Academy as the morning breeze blew over him. His small fingers gripped the kunai as his blue-blazed finger flickered on the kunai, which immediately flew in the direction of his training mountain and pinned on the ground.

"Fenge'r!, Wait, listen to me!" shouted Liu Erlong as she emerged from the home naked, biting her lower lip for being foolish and gazing at her son's teleportation direction with red anguished eyes.

"Maybe I should give him some space; I will meet him after his anger has calmed down," Liu Erlong said sadly as she went inside her house to put on the outfit because she had crucial meetings in the dean's office today while she had to reflect on herself about her actions.

Liu Feng was wielding his Dragon lance spear alone in his training mountain, at every swing he was remembering his past moments in the Spirit Hall. He stopped after swinging while slowly his ocean blue eyes slightly changing to red and his emotions twisting with uncertainity.

"Every one of them never understood my words, I'm like an idiot trying to impress them blindly and this is what I got, hurting myself," Liu Feng chuckled as he clenched the spear in his fist with a face of sadness.

He remembered his grandfather's cold gaze, whom he loved the most when his spirit was awakened and everyone he knew in the Spirit Hall began to separate themselves from him. His twin sister was taken with his grandfather for special training, and his grandfather didn't even look at him as the weeks passed the relationship between his sister and grandfather became further isolated.

He felt lonely remaining in the Spirit Hall, even though he wanted to train to raise his spirit rank, but he couldn't focus because he was a little boy who had unexpectedly his own family stopped caring for him.

Finally, with permission, Liu Feng went on a out with the students in a mission and ran away in the middle of the mission without being spotted by the students or the teacher.

"Even though I am reaching seven years old, no one has tried to find me, they really don't care about me," Liu Feng said, urging himself back from crying.

Liu Erlong was seated on a chair inside the office meeting in the afternoon, her thoughts on her son's situation, and the remaining teachers in the meeting were staring at each other when they noticed the dean was in a sad mood.

"OK, you all leave the reports, and we'll continue our meeting next week," Liu Erlong stated, as everyone nodded and exited the meeting room with perplexed looks.

'It's already afternoon, my son should be hungry,' Liu Erlong wondered as she regularly prepared food and fed Liu Feng, who always ran around to play with her while she fed him. Remembering those moments, Liu Elrong instinctively smiled with tears on her face and stood up to go to the Academy canteen, hoping to meet her son there.

"Madam Dean, your son has already eaten lunch and left," stated the canteen's old lady chef, looking at Liu Elrong's gloomy expression and knowing in her heart that something bad happened with her son.

"Thank you for telling," Liu Erlong replied with a sad smile as the old lady chef shook her head.

"Madam, what I fear in my heart is that when you first announced your son, it happened, you waited for that person for twenty years and I know with that much love, you won't be a good parent to your son because sometimes your decisions may depend on your love," said the old woman, who was the only person who clearly knew Liu Erlong as she was the first worker in the Academy.

Liu Erlong bowed modestly to an old lady who was lovingly caressing her black hair before heading to her home on the lush green mountain. She sat on the bed that shared with her son and softly caressed where he used to sleep.

"I thought Fenge'r would like Yu Xiaogang to be his father, but it seems like Fenge'r despises him for my sake, but I raised my hand when my kid was angry for me," Liu Elrong said, grasping the bed sheet and staring at Liu Feng's pillow.

"It's time to really say goodbye to my love, Xiaogang that kid is everything to me now and I won't let him go away from my heart," Liu Erlong said while wiping away her tears and remembering all the memories of Xiaogang but a cute smile of a kid dominated those memories and she wanted to protect that smile forever.

She proceeded hesitantly to the training mountain, holding a towel. Suddenly, she sensed a shift in the environment, with hot air streaming towards her. She looked at a blonde kid wielding the dragon-marked spear and came to a halt as the kid noticed Liu Elrong.

"My grandpa, my own mother, haha, even my twin sister all looked at me like some failure, and here I thought at least you would understand me, but you also joined with them," Liu Feng said, turning to Liu Erlong, who was astonished when she saw her son's eyes turn red and feared in her heart that something bad would happen to son.

"Fenge'r what happened to you?" Liu Erlong yelled, racing towards him with a terrified expression on her worn face.

"I said those words for you, I cared about you, but you shouted at me while not even understanding my words," Liu Feng yelled at Liu Erlong, who had stopped running and was deeply blaming herself for her past actions.

When Liu Erlong spotted the ominous dark orange light on her son's body, she felt a dreadful pressure pressing down on her. Whiskers developed on his cheeks as he frowned his angry eyes at Liu Erlong, but she didn't care and rushed closer to her adored kid, who was in sadness.

"Finally, I can see some light in this fucking cage," a deep voice in the darkness murmured as a ray of light dropped on the large red slit eyes. The entire dark space trembled with an overwhelming roar and attempted to reach the source of light.
