At School IV

The first day of my class ended and remembering the events that happened, I slapped my forehead and wondered why I even opened my mouth.

{Flashback}

The bell rang and Reiko Sensei left the class. As she left, the girls were about to get up from the place but just as Reiko left, another pink-haired woman entered the room, and seeing her, everyone stood up and bowed to her, "Good Morning, Sensei."

Kirisu Mafuyu looked at everyone and then nodded.

"Good Morning, you all can sit down. I am Kirisu Mafuyu and I am going to be teaching your Japanese for this year. Reiko San must have already done the instructions, and I already know about you all."

"So, without any further ado, let's move on to the main topic for today."

"Minato Namikaze, Stand up."

Kirisu said as she looked around and her eyes fell on the one and only boy in the class. Hearing her, I stood up at my place and asked, "Sensei?"

"Why did you join this school?" She asked as she looked at me with no expression on her face and hearing her, I fell into thoughts.

'Huh? What does she mean? Me too! I also want to know why I chose this school.'

"Why would Sensei ask about this? Was I not allowed to choose this school?" I asked back and hearing me, Kirisu's expression didn't change and she kept on staring at me.

'The fuck does she want?' I thought while I kept on staring at her, and minutes passed but nothing happened. Seeing this, a scowl appeared on her face and she said, "It would have been much better if you had chosen another school instead of this. If you chose this school to change yourself, then you made a bad choice."

She said and I was confused as I heard this.

'Change? What Change? Why would I want to change? What the heck did she imagine in her mind? Did she make up a story while reading about my 'dark' past?'

"You can sit down, After school hours, meet me in the Student Counselling Room," Kirisu said as she looked at me and hearing this, I controlled the urge to ask her about what she meant and sat on the place.

"Do you know here?" I heard a low voice from behind, and I shook my head in response.

"What did she mean?" I again heard, and this time instead of me, she was answered by someone else.

"Rias Gremory, You don't have to ask about these matters. Focus on your studies, unlike last year, This time, I want to see some results or I will have no choice but to complain to your parents."

Kirisu said as she looked at Rias Gremory, who nodded in response and turned her head. Seeing this, I raised my brows as I saw Akeno's shoulders trembling and looking at her face, I understood that she was holding her urge to laugh.

"Now, Souna Shitori, Stand up," Kirisu said as she looked at the short-haired bespectacled girl and she stood up on the place.

"Your application regarding the Student Council Position has been cancelled and your status as Student Council Member has been evoked."

"Huh? Eh?" Souna said with a stunned expression on her face as she heard this, and hearing this, not only her but everyone in the room was stunned. After all, everyone knew that Souna Shitori wanted to become the Student Council President.

"Why?" She asked as she looked at Kirisu, who took out a page and gave it to her.

"I have written two of the several reasons on this page. Read them when you are alone and have free time. As I have said before, separate your dreams from reality and focus on the present. Just because you want to do it, it doesn't mean you have to do it."

Saying this, Kirisu glanced at others in the room and she looked at Tsubaki, Akeno and a few more girls. She didn't say much and taking the chalk, she started to write on the board.

"Today, we will be starting the first lesson."

The class started but instead of focusing on her, I practised my calligraphy and many times, I was asked by her to answer the questions. Haha! Because I knew everything, I answered everything correctly, and she didn't say anything later.

As the class ended and Kirisu left the room, the class went in uproar, and like before, just as everyone was to move, a woman wearing a lab coat over her work uniform: a black vest with a dress shirt underneath, black pants, and a loose tie entered the room with a stack of papers in her hands.

Looking at everyone, she grinned and said, "You all were about to move from your place and go to others. Haha! A pity it wouldn't happen with you all. With the changes in school, the school has decided on a strict policy so that thirsty girls like wouldn't join the males in your class."

The woman said making everyone stunned and by this point, I had already lost all hope for my school life.

"My name is Shizuka Hiratsuka and I will be teaching the subject you are afraid of, i.e. Mathematics."

"Last year, the results were worse than I thought and because of this, for this year, I will be choosing a student in the class that will become my assistant in teaching,"

"In return, the student will get full marks in Maths for the whole year, and they don't have to even take exams."

The whole class became silent as they heard this, and an uproar was created in the class. Looking at the excited students, Shizuka's grin widened and she said, "Silence!"

"Pass these sheets! The one who gains maximum marks will be by assistant and if there are ties, the one who will finish first will become mine. If there is still a tie, the one who will make the least mistakes will become mine, and even then, if it is a tie, the one who attempts more questions will become mine."

Shizuka said as she passed the papers and looked at Tsubaki, Me and Souna.

"If I find you cheating, no marks for midterms, and if you faked your results, no marks for the whole year. The school has given full authority to the teachers and the way they want to teach, and because of this I will be responsible for everything."

Saying this, she took out a few pieces of chalk and broke them, while looking at students who had stunned expressions on their faces.

"Five minutes of reading time, thirty minutes of paper solving. Your time starts now."
