Chapter 41
Ardent looked at the direction of the dungeon. Sensing his gaze, Catlin pinched his thigh, giving him an 'I dare you,' look.
"Don't even think about going back to the dungeon until you get some sleep, Mister." she warned him.
"Alright, Catlin. I will not go to the dungeon until I get some much needed rest. But, if there is any danger to the village, then-"
Chapter 42
After killing the goblins, the Mages looted the body, taking the Mana Crystal of the goblins and the stone weapon.
When Calais gave them a look, the one who took the weapon sheepishly answered, "Maybe they are useful in some way?" the way the man said it like a question made it hard to believe it was his plan, but Ardent did not say anything about. If they wanted to take it, it's up to them.
With their incursion almost done, Ardent decided to take one more thing.
Chapter 43
Ardent observed the Mana Crystal in front of him. Despite not using any of his Grade 4 Spells, he can still easily decimate the entire population of goblin guards without even trying.
"Then again, a 4th Circle Mage is still a 4th Circle Mage despite not using a spell that powerful." Ardent mused to himself.
He looked at the goblin guards, which are coming towards him, or rushing towards him, again.
Chapter 44
"Phew, looks like I'm close to becoming a 5th Circle Mage." Ardent could not stop the smile from blooming.
When he become a 5th Circle Mage, he will become the stronger human in the region, able to trample over 4th Circle Mage with ease.
"Time for the regular patrol then."
Chapter 45
After searching for any enemies that would be dangerous to him, Ardent learned something. There are no 4th Circle Mage, but there are five 3rd Circle Mage which formed the strongest combat force of the group, followed by seven 1st Rank Aura User.
A single 1st Rank Aura User is more than enough to destroy the village, much less 7 of them, plus 5 Mages equivalent. If they did not take him into account, that is.
Chapter 46
The leader of the Blue Boulder struggled to lift his head. When he manage to see the origin of the Mana, he wondered if the hit on the head few week ago left some aftereffects.
That's probably the reason he was seeing a boy, a teen to be exact flying in the sky.
The boy descended, before a wave of his hand send strong gale all over the camp. The tents and anything that pitch to the ground flew, the strength of the wind too much for them to bear.
Chapter 47
When Ardent told the village chief of their new security detail, the older man looked at him with a tired gaze before sighing,
"Young Ardent," he used the wise and old tone Ardent often heard from Alfon, "I don't know what to make out of this ... arrangement. Do you think they will not do anything that can harm the village?"
Chapter 48
With one part being over, Ardent moved on to the next one. He looked at the Mana Core, and find his target, a red Magic Circle, emitting heat and blaze, capable of burning anything close to it into ashes should he want to.
With a calming sigh, Ardent pushed his consciousness and Mana to the Magic Circle. The pouring Mana soon expended the previous boundary of the Magic Circle.
Chapter 49
As their lips touched, Ardent felt like he was electrocuted, his body zapped by lightning all over. From the shiver of Catlin, she shared the same sensation.
Despite the new feeling, they did not stop. Putting a hand on her back, Ardent pulled Catlin closer, deepening their kiss as she reciprocated, her tongue trying to enter his mouth.
Chapter 50
Frank looked at Celine like she just grow an eye on her forehead.
"... What?" the blonde hope he misheard, that his cute and beautiful fiance did not just ask him to stalk their best friends slash the strongest couple of the village.
"You hear me right. Can you follow them?" nope, his hearing was fine. It just his fiance that is senile.
Chapter 51
Ardent observed his fiance as Catlin slowly dealing with the goblin guards. While she is powerful, her inexperienced will be the shackles that prevent her from completing the floor on her own.
However, if she managed to break the shackles, than she would be able to defeat all the goblin guards residing in the dungeon.
Chapter 52
Calais watched as Ardent carried his sister in a bridal carry. The said sister was sleeping, her head leaning on Ardent's chest.
"She tire herself dealing with all the monsters in the 2nd floor." Ardent explained, before looking at him, a thoughtful expression on his face.
Chapter 53
Cross let out a heavy sigh. After a long time spend in Cruom City, he and the others finally return to their hometown.
'I wonder if there is any changes.' despite thinking of it, Cross doubted the village can change quickly, not even with the dungeon and his son-in-law.
Chapter 54
"No, this is definitely not normal for a dungeon." Alfon said, affirming what Ardent believed. After giving the elderly two days of rest, Ardent pulled Alfon, and other Mages and Aura Users into the dungeon, to inspect the changes that occur.
"To think a third floor already formed." Cross muttered, before cutting the head of a goblin warrior. The goblin warrior is a strong goblin, with slightly larger build, and better equipment.
Chapter 55
With the order given by Ardent, the elders and chief began working towards it. Of course, the lack of population made building new infrastructure difficult, especially with other tasks needing manpower.
However, with the increasing number of Mages in their rank, they can easily deal with the lacking manpower.
Chapter 56
Ardent could hear the discussion of the Blue Boulder. He make sure to use his Wind Magic to hear everything they said.
To be honest, he was not slighted at how they think of him as a path to greater success. In fact, that was exactly what he plan for the Blue Boulder should they finished their tasks perfectly.
Chapter 57
Ardent's eyes twitched, hearing the insult thrown at his beloved village. Sure, it is probably not the best place to live on the region, much less the entire world, but it is still his home. And these lot want to ruin it.
'Oh, I'm going to show you lot you mess with the wrong village.'
Chapter 58
Normally, the 4th Circle Mage will ask such question to his subordinates, as it will effect all their lives. However, from the look of it, the teen will not let him hold any form of meeting.
"We will serve you and betray the City Lord." the Mage quickly changed allegiance. None of his subordinates said anything. Not even a cheer. They, no doubt still terrified of the entire experience.
Chapter 59
Ardent swiped his hands despite there not being any dirt on it. Then again after terrifying several group of people from Cruom City, and killing two entire groups, he was slightly tired.
Oh, he can easily slaughter the one he did not kill even in his tired state, but sleeping for the night could leave the village vulnerable. Should they want to attack during such time, he would be pressed to defend the village.
Chapter 60
Merith wondered why the young Mage keep him alive. At first, he thought it was to better protect the village, and using them as forces against larger invasion forces from the City.
However, as 2 months pass by, he saw construction project being completed, with Mages assisting with such project. Few construction projects is not weird in itself. However, when a small village launched several at once, with the latter being bigger, it invoke his curiosity.
So people can decide to get a privilege chapter instead of gambling whether they like it or not.
