"Young Ardent," he used the wise and old tone Ardent often heard from Alfon, "I don't know what to make out of this ... arrangement. Do you think they will not do anything that can harm the village?"
The village chief's question, is very understandable. It is what many would asked when they heard a would-be-attacker suddenly becoming the shield of their home. That said, Ardent smiled to the old man,
"Yes. Because if they don't, they will ask for death." the eerie tone, one filled with threats of bodily harm and psychological harm, and every type of harm made the village chief nodded, as the other elders shuddered from his subconscious release of his Mana.
