Chapter 6 Guilty?

"beep... beep... beep..." the black tentorium in the room signalled the presence of a message.

"I'll check it." I said seeing that they were both busy. I checked the message and saw that Ladicae Ansina had called for me. It had been already five days since our last meeting and I was always distracted thinking either about the meeting or the Devil's proposal.

"Lory!" Oakley called me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"you said?" I asked looking dazed.

"come on, Lory. You really need to snap out of it. What's going on, why are you always lost, what's bothering you?" she asked, looking somewhat annoyed.

"ah, it's nothing." I said clearing my head.

"so, what did it say?" Kate asked.

"right, Ladicae Ansina wishes to see me." I said and got up to leave.

"is there really nothing going on, Lory? You know you can trust us right." She said reassuringly.

"I promise, I'll tell you guys what this is about when I get back."

"so, there is something going on." Kate said amazed that I had been lying about it all these times.

"yeah, and trust me, you're not going to like it." I said and from the look on Oakley's face, I could tell that she probably knew it had something to do with Masiera Pavilon. I left the room headed for Ladicae Ansina's office.

"greetings" the two maids standing by each side of Ladicae Ansina's office greeted me and let me in. I walked in and greeted Ladicae Ansina's assistant.

"greetings, Ladicae. All respect to you, you called for me?"

"yes, I did. There has been an update on your situation. Have a seat." She said gesturing to one of the chairs and I sat down anxious to hear her next words.

"I do not have much to say to you, Loretta. Firstly, your method of discipline has been decided. I have not been let in on your punishment, but it will soon be known to both of us. Lastly, two archangels will be here tomorrow to inform you of the happenings, and your presence at the next meeting which will hold in two days time. This is all I have for you but I have one advise for you, would you like to hear it?" she asked, stunning me.

"all respect to you, I would be honoured to." I replied.

"don't ever limit yourself to desires of those around you, do what you do not because of others want it but because your heart truly desires it." She told me with a smile and I couldn't see reasons in why she would give such advise, but I thought maybe the need for it would come in the future.

"you may leave now Lory." She said, calling me by nickname and I don't know why but I felt all teary, and then, something told me that this was the last time we'd ever talk like this. While wondering why I would have such thoughts I left the office, headed for the dorm.

"...and they will tell me to be present at the meeting which will be in two days." I just finished narrating the whole story to both of my roommates leaving out the Devil's invitation. There was shock written on Kate's face.

"well, what do you think will be your method of discipline?" Oakley asked going straight to the point.

"they'll obviously ask her to serve as a maid for some certain years." Kate answered

"no, I don't think they'll give me something simple." I answered knowing the gravity of my sins.

"me too. You should be prepared for anything, Lory." Oakley said and I nodded then we heard the general calling which meant it was time for rendering services and we all rushed to get ready so that we won't be late.

It was the next day, we had just gone out for snacks and came back and we're all relaxing when the kblack tentorium beeped.

"I'll get it, Kate offered and checked. "the archangels are here to see you, Lory." She said her face full of concern.

"*sigh*. Okay, guys. Let me see what they have to say." I said and headed to the meeting hall.

Thankfully, they were the only one's present. Preparing my mind for the worst, I made my way to them.

"greetings." I greeted them

"please sit down." One of them said. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Rebellez Loretta." He said and for a moment hearing someone call me with that rank felt weird. I guessed I hadn't really familiarised myself with the name yet.

"I am Archangel Mike and this is Archangel David." He added

"I am sure Ladicae Ansina has already informed you of our arrival and the reason behind it beforehand. So, I will get straight to the point." He said it signifying that he wasn't going to waste his time, here.

"you are guilty of committing two sins; the first being that you have gone against the will of the JINUA and have thereby posed to be a threat, secondly, you have insulted the JINUA. Do you have any objections?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"no, I accept that I have committed the sins said above." I answered.

"you shall be present in tomorrows JINUA's meeting to be told your method of discipline. The meeting starts by nine do not be late." He said and they both left and I also headed back to the dorms.  

"how did it go? Since you're back early it should have gone well, right?" Kate asked with high hopes.

"it went how it should have gone, Kate. They informed me of my sins and told me that I should be present at the meeting tomorrow." I said as I lied down on my bed which I wasn't sure would still be mine by tomorrow. I closed my eyes and deep sleep enveloped my soul.
