Chapter 2 A Rebellez Is Born

After leaving Masiera Pavilon's office, I made my way to Darnbel to meet Ladicae Ansina (the controller of the Rebel Angels). I wanted to inform her about my plan of conversion, since she changed the Angels. I got to the large black gate which marked the entry to Darnbel, written on it was 'Welcome to Darnbel'. I pushed the gate open, entered and closed it back. The place had a dull and scary vibe, if a mere Human were to be trespassing here, they'd think Darnbel was one of those haunted houses. From the gate of Darnbel to the main building where the Rebel Angels and Ladicae Ansina lived was about five miles. I wasn't really in the mood to walk that far so I just used my power to speed there in just four minutes. The main building was very large, it was like two or three mansions joined together. It had about twelve floors. There were Angels roaming around, some of them saw me and wondered why I was here. I'm probably sure they thought I was here to deliver messages or do something of that sort. I made my way in; the entry doors were wide open. The reception hall was very large, it could contain all the Angels. I remember her (Ladicae Ansina) office being on the top floor, her office was in such a way that once she came out and would like to have a meeting, all the Angels would be in the reception hall where she could see them from afar. I walked forward to the reception desk, to inform the receptionist of my arrival and who I came to meet as per tradition. I saw her name on the reception desk 'Lower Angel Kathie'.

"Welcome, how can I help you?" She asked with a smile etched on her face.

"Hi, I'm here to see Ladicae Ansina. We don't have an appointment, uhm, you can tell her it's urgent. I'm sure she'll let me in. The name's Senior Angel Loretta." I said giving her the information she'd need.

"Okay." She said and dialed a number on the black tentorium (a device used for communicating). She gave in the required information and received answers. "You may go in. The last floor." She said and smiled again.

"Thank you." I said with a one-sided smile and walked to the elevator and made my way upstairs. Immediately I came out of the elevator, I was welcomed by total silence. When I reached the door to her office, I met two maids standing by each side. They greeted me and let me in. Ladicae Ansina's office was large, it has two office table (one for her and the other for her assistant), two head chairs (one for her and the other for her assistant) and three other visitor chairs (two for her and one for her assistant). It also has a cabinet and wardrobe, a shelf for books and a large sofa for Angels who were asked to wait. It has a door on the left-hand side which led to something like a presidential suite in a hotel. I had been here up to four times and even stayed in the suite. I greeted them both, then walked to Ladicae Ansina's office table.

"Higher Angel Loretta, you may take your seat." She said and gestured to the chair in front of me and I sat down. "What is so important that you came all the way to Darnbel to see me when you could have written a letter?" She asked.

"All respect to you Ladicae, I've come here not with an offer but with a decision." I answered her question, seriousness written on my face.

"You're telling me that your decision is so important that you came all the way here?" She asked, and I nodded in confirmation. "Okay, then. I would love to hear it." She said and gestured me to go on.

"I, Higher Angel Loretta have made up my mind to join the Rebel Angels out of my own free will." I said and she widened her eyes in amazement. Never in my life would I have tought that I would come here to do such.

"Loretta, just a week ago, you were given Contract of Invitation to be a Senior Angel from Masiera Pavilon and now you are here telling me you made up your mind to join the Rebellez?" She asked confused.

"Yes, I was given a contract of an invitation to be a Senior Angel by Masiera Pavilon, but I have rejected the Contract of Invitation because my mind was set to join the Rebel Angels." I answered her.

"Let me get this straight, you rejected to be a Senorez because you want to be a Rebellez. Loretta, there are Angels out there that don't have the privilege you have, and you are throwing it away because of 'this'. Loretta, this place is not a place of merry, it is a place that is looked down upon. The type of Angels that dwell here are those Angels that have been trampled upon and have been ill-treated, so they lack the power to protect themselves and they have come here so that I may protect them. This is the reality of 'Darnbel'." She said it with emotions in her eyes.

"This is exactly why I'm here, Ladicae Ansina. 2nd Heaven is not safe for them anymore and I would hate to join the Senorez to condemn them more, calling them 'impurities of 2nd Heaven' and I know you feel the same. Don't tell me I'm privileged cause it just makes me feel more worse." I told her while looking into her eyes, showing her I meant every word I said.

"If this is how you really feel, then I'm no one to stop you, all I can do is wish you well for your new life with us. I hope you won't regret it." She said and tried to smile but her emotions failed her.

"Thank you so much, I won't regret it." I assured her.

"Be here by 8am sharp tomorrow. Don't bring any Higher Angel things with you. Don't forget to say your goodbye's, this is now your new home. You may now leave, Rebellez Loretta." She said, this time smiling.

"Thank you, Ladicae." I said, took my leave and left Darnbel.
