Chapter 18 An Assignment

A week gone by, yet no progress. It seemed like no matter who I was I had no worth in the eyes of the people. I tried everything: leading the Senior Angels (they didn't listen to me or follow my teachings), recruiting angels and rendering help with advice (they treated me with scorn and disdain) and without my mum I couldn't get into 1st Heaven. I had but one thing that I had not done and trust me only a crazy person will do that, confronting the JINUA. Right now, I am storming across the halls of Sacred Heart. You can't blame me. If all the worth I had had gone down the drain because of my looks then I will show them and prove to them my real worth. No matter the amount of reject they had for me, they must learn to accept me because I'm just like them.

"bang" the doors opened as I stormed my way into the meeting hall.

"how dare you barge into the meeting room of Sacred Heart; this is a high case of disrespect. Archangels get a hold of her!" Masiera Pavilon stormed from his seat. He's always one to talk, I have no idea where he gets his moral from.

"you dare not put a finger on me." I said my eyes penetrating into the Archangels that were coming to me and they stopped and took no other step.

"since the JINUA and its' Angels has refused to listen to its' higher authority, I have been for---" I was cut off by Masiera Pavilons' sarcastic laughter.

"before I even acknowledge your presence, I'll ask you one question. Who are authorities?" he offed me with his question.

"authorities? Well, they're representatives of God." I answered not sure of what was going on.

"so, you're saying that you're God's representative?" he said and sarcastic laughter's sounded all over the room. "I might not know much but I know that God is pure and has no form of duality in him." He said and I don't know why but suddenly I burst out laughing. That moment, I couldn't feel myself anymore. It was as if something had taken over me and started pulling my strings.

"Ah! What difference lies between me and you? You say I'm black and white so I'm a chameleon, but you forget the true meaning of a chameleon. You who are white on the outside but black on the inside, aren't you the real chameleon but why bother with petty things such as this when the Lord we serve loves all and knows all and points not fingers at one another why then must you act differently?" I said throwing lights on their secrets and rendering them speechless. "cat got your tongue, uh? It's not as if my speeches could change the minds and heart of people for if it could, then Jesus wouldn't have been crucified. I ask the JINUA for just one chance, one chance to prove myself that I am worthy of everything that should be entitled to me and so much more. Then the JINUA can judge me with the outcome instead of judging me with my looks. What does the JINUA have to say about it?" I spoke with boldness that I didn't have. They exchanged glances at one another communicating silently with looks.

"what about the Ashtone case?" Ladicae Lailah asked. Ladicae Lailah and Masiera Pavilon were under Acumen (Angel of good judgement), so if Ladicae Lailah had to say something I knew it had to be good.

"for a beginner, I think the assignment is a little heavy." Ladicae Ansina under Rebellis Seraphina (Angel of rebellion) said.

"she is the daughter of Senyoryte Auriel, she should be able to prove herself." Masiera Tamon under my mum, Senyoryte Auriel (Angel of seniority) said.

"well then, why don't we do a voting on the matter?" Masiera Pavilon asked and majority nodded their heads in agreement. "all those in favour of the Ashtone case, raise your hands." He said and raised his hand with twelve other members. "the Ashtone case shall be given to her." he concluded.

"Masiera Pavilon you forget that this is no ordinary matter and we will be needing the leader's approval first before we can make any decisions on our own." Ladicae Ansina said.

"well then, Heaven you will be communicated with when our final desicion is ready" Masiera Pavilon said.

"thank you." I said out of gratitude and left Sacrum Cor.

"Senyoryte Heaven, you have requested for an assignment from the JINUA to decipher your place. The JINUA has thought about your case and has agreed to give you an assignment which is the Emma Ashtone case. Emma Ashtone is to die in less than two year and you are to make sure she dies an Angel. If you do not finish your assignment, you will be striped off your current position and live as a common Angel but if you finish your assignment, you will keep your position and the JINUA will award you a higher position based on your performance. Do you accept or do not accept?" Senyoryte Auriel asked after informing me of the final decision of the JINUA.

I had been called in the next two days after I left the Sacrum Cor and now I was back here to finish what I started. I was going to accept. I didn't know what I was capable of but I'll never know if I don't test myself out.

"I accept."

  "document." Ladicae Lailah ordered and a female Archangel gave me the pen and document she was holding. She created table from the ground to enable me to sign the document. I was to write my full name, 'Senyoryte Heaven' all Angels had three names the first was their rank, the second name was the normal name given to you by your mum which its meaning is very important and the last name was significant and it was given by the dad. I didn't get a last name since I don't have a dad because Royalty are created and not produced, so I wrote my two names and signed. The Archangel delivered the document and the table went back to the ground. Ladicae Lailah checked it and nodded to my mum.

"your assignment has begun." Mum said the words like she was letting go and I knew it was her goodbye meaning we had reached the end of the note.

"your assistant, Senorez Hannah will put you through." Ladicae Lailah said and I left Sacrum Cor determined to come back successful. Before I headed back home I called for Hannah.
