Imprisoned by the CEO

“You will have to marry me and bear me a child.”  “What the fuck?!” Logic flew out of the window when Grace heard him say that. “Excuse me, what did you just say?”  Maybe, she was the one who had heard him wrong. It could have been anything except marrying him and giving him a child.  “You heard me,” Christian tsked, “but I’ll repeat it. Marry me and have my child.”  Her mouth opened and gaped at me. In her mind, she was trying to make sense about what was going on. How in the world had it come to be? What in the world could make the situation come to this?!  “No?” Grace replied, but then realized that the word was not firm enough. “No.” she said again. Christian frowned, and it seemed so innocent like he had not asked her the most unbelievable thing. “Why not? I thought you wanted to help me. You offered.”  “I offered my help, my brain, my support not my,” she hesitated, “stomach!”  What was the word for it? “Womb,” he provided.  “Yes!” She slapped her hand on the table. “You don’t get my womb!”   “I don’t?” He challenged.  “No!”  “What if helping me out means Lorelai coming out of a coma?”  Grace felt her heart drop. “What?”  Christian nodded. “What if helping me out, agreeing to what you have to do for me, means bringing your grandmother out of the, that she is in?”  ******** Grace  was one strong girl and with the people she put her trust in, that was only a small number, she knew she could conquer the world, or at least she thought to herself.  When her best friend proposed a deal that could change their lives, she made a decision that was going to be mutually beneficial to both of them.  But one renovation led to many and everything has been just a game, a manipulation from him. Everything was full of deceit, lies, planning and plotting against her. Every single thing, right down the fact that only he had been her friend…  Everything was a lie and she had been living it, willingly.  Tropes; Friends to lovers, office romance, best friends, frenemies, marriage of convenience, possessive villainous and morally gray heroes!

The club’s VIP - II

Even though Grace was quite at a distance from her friends, it did not mean that she was not going to look at them. Marco was dancing with two ladies and somehow, he managed to give both of them equal amounts of attention.
How did he even do that?
Moving on, she looked at me, and apparently, her friend was in the middle of a drinking challenge. She and her competitor had a tree of shorts in front of them each and by the looks of it, they were both halfway through.
She shook her head. At least this time, she would not be the one who would have to take the responsibility of taking Mia home.
Grace blinked and turned her head a little bit to the left. Why did you feel like someone was watching her? Who could possibly watch her in a club filled with rich brats?
Nonetheless, she turned back around and finished her drink. Only then, she moved back down the stairs and towards the bar. She could use another.
Instead of going back, once a drink was kept in front of her on the bar top, occupied a seat over there. Who was going to climb the stairs after walking to the sea of sweaty people ready to get handsy with anyone?
She took a ship of the drink, relishing the cold liquid as it went down her throat. The drink has been the same since college and honestly, why would she change it unless she had a ton of money to order drinks that were more expensive than two pieces of clothes combined?
Someone settled into the seat next to her and she made sure to keep her eyes on the drink in front of the fire in case the person wanted to talk. God forbid, she had to make small talk in a bar.
Her nose got a whiff of the scent worn by the man next to her and it intrigued her a little bit, because it was not often she liked the perfume choices of people, especially men.
Who is he?
Snowy, Grace turned her face towards the man, just in case if he looked, she would be able to turn around.
Her eyes settled on the side profile of his face and she frowned. Was he..
The man turned to her and his eyes twinkled with the dim lights of the club. "Grace," Miguel tilted his head a little, "I did not know you liked this place."
"I," she shrugged, and looked back at the dance floor, "I actually came with my friends. They are frequent here. It's a little too packed and dim lit for me."
"I will take the critique into consideration."
"What?" Grave blinked in surprise. "Why would you?"
Miguel's lips titled up. "This is my club, Grace. If making a few changes makes you visit more, I'll try."
Heat crawled to her face, and she wanted to die in a second. Miguel Vega was flirting with her.
Multimillionaire and a man so far away from the public eye that no one would even recognise him if he sat next to them for an hour, he was flirting with her.
She smiled then retracted it before doing that again. She realized how awkward it must have looked.
"I.. I do not have a lot of time to visit clubs and all. I have a bar near my apartment that I go to quite frequently because it's on my way from work. So.." she looked around the place, "he might not see me here anyway."
He nodded slowly and once. "I'll try that bar then."
Her mouth almost flopped, open at his reply before she took control of herself. Grace redirected herself towards her drink and took a hearty sip.
While she was taking the sip, she could swear she heard him chuckle.
