Chapter 24: Just Become One

Back to the deep forest of Crimson Demon Village, I continued hunting monsters and I'm facing a giant troll carrying a large wooden mace with several pointy spikes.

I avoided the large swing of the wooden mace and using the katana Murasame, I found a small opening and cut the giant troll in the hand, leaving only a small cut wound. I returned the sword to the scabbard and turned around, leaving my opponent.

"Rawr! We're not finished yet! Where are you going?"

The Giant Troll raised his weapon and he about attack.

I halted on my step and reminded him on his real status.

"It's over. You're already dead."

"What?"

He suddenly felt something and his body can't move his body. Cursed mark spread through his body until he lost his consciousness and fell to the ground after the cursed poison took his life.

Looking to my side was a pile of corpse of different monsters that I killed.

"I wonder what should I do with this mess?"

Yunyun usually was the one who does the clean up by burning it to ashes or sinking it in a bottomless swap. I just learned more how valuable she was in my life.

She's currently with Megumin, tending her swollen butt after I spanked her several times as my revenge for nearly hitting me with her explosion magic.

"If I left it like this, it can cause a trouble in the village and spread some diseases."

I remembered my new skill 'Spatial Storage' which I can use to store my things.

Opening a void below the pile of monster's corpses, it all drops inside, living no traces of blood.

"This might work. I can even sell this corpses to the guild and earn a lot of money!"

After cleaning up everything, I returned back to the Crimson Demon Village and I decided to visit the bathhouse to wash my body which stinks of monster's blood.

While walking on my way to the bathhouse, I sensed someone following me when I saw the beautiful lady that I met this morning. I remembered her name 'Soketto' and she's the fortune teller of this village.

"That means, the loser aura that I've been sensing around."

"Huh?"

When Soketto noticed me, I went to speak to her.

"Aren't you..."

"It's Haru."

"Okay, Haru. How's your tour in the village?"

I stared at her for a moment then I sighed,

"It's good."

"You don't seem to be happy. Did something happened?"

"Yeah, I nearly got hit by Explosion Magic then I was chased by horde of Female Orcs... twice."

"You had it hard..."

While talking to her, I can sense the loser aura behind us amplifying and it is slowly approaching us.

"I'm just curious. Why did you decide to visit our village?"

"Why ask if you already know?"

"Huh?"

Soketto and I stared at each other.

"Your divination... it was you who made Megumin's father, Hyoizaburoo change his mind."

Wind softly blew our surroundings and after a moment of silence, her eyes widened and she suddenly touched me in the cheek.

"Strange... you look kind of similar to the guy I saw in my divination."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Soon, a handsome and most gallant Crimson Demon will appear here in the village, and he possesses the cool and the most powerful spells that never even seen in the history of this village. He will be called-- The foremost prince of the Crimson Demons!"

"Huh?"

I was confused with her words but at the same, I'm feeling the cringe.

"I wonder when he will appear? He will be a prince charming!" she looks quite lovestruck from her delusions with that person.

"Umm... What does it have anything to do with Megumin's father changing his mind?"

"That's what we've been waiting for! Someday, he will appear and ask Hyoizaburoo to become his apprentice as a Magic Item Crafter. He will bring big fortune to him and to this village."

"I see..."

"Anyway, I'm in hurry and I have to take a bath. You can visit me in my fortune telling shop and I'll give you a discount in my divination. It might be your love life, health or anything about your future. I guaranteed my divinations are highly precise. Okay then, see you around and enjoy your stay!" she walked ahead of me while looking bashful.

"It might be just me or my imagination but... I can't erase this feeling of uneasiness with her divination. If I try to connect the dots, her divination will be really have some connection with me."

I took out my adventurer's card and checked on my skill points then I noticed that I leveled quite a lot from hunting around the Crimson Demon Village.

After acquiring enough Skill Points for my desired skills, I immediately tapped my adventurer's card and learned the new skills.

"Curse Energy Manipulation and Transformation Magic! Let's go!"

All the informations about the skills flood into my head and I quickly learned each of them in an instant.

"Transformation Magic is very easy but Curse Energy Manipulation was so deep! Black Flash, Reverse Cursed Technique, Curtain and then Binding Vow? Wait, is that all?"

Looking back to my card, the skill points required for the skill has increased by half which surprised me.

"Looks like I have to grind more Skill Points..."
