drifting off the river!

He drifted on the river of oblivion because there was suddenly a large ship pushing him away from his stream. Very confused, Ji Li suddenly woke up from his deep slumber while still drifting from one stream to another, like a ghost he fled and entered a much larger stream.

This time the stream was so large and powerful that he couldn't stop. But because he was already drifting a large distance, he already skipped the forgetting station and directly entered the river of reincarnation.

In a cold region in the far north of the Emerald Brilliance Empire, even though it's an empire known for its lush green landscape, as it reaches far and wide all around the world and is known as the largest one, it of course still has a cold region.

The peak region of the north is where the unique Ice Forest tribe lays, a unique tribe to the empire that has a strong affinity with the nature of the north. One of the few tribes of Emerald Brilliance who have a special bloodline, this one is characterized by their white hair and green eyes.

In a shack in the far deep of a snow-white bush large forest, at the edge of the forest near the border of Emerald Brilliance and Frostwind Kingdom. 

"Aghh!! Whattt- why is it...!" A screaming woman can be heard in that shack, looking at another one dressed modestly.

"Madam, you have to push! You can do it Madam; his lordship said his son is very interested in you! That damn Ji Chen, how could he ever deserve you mistress!"

"SHUSH! Don't say anything!" screamed the woman, doing her best to give birth.

"But Madam, he's already below grou-" before the modestly dressed middle aged woman could finish, she was interrupted by an angry glare.

"Don't say anything! If he was still here, do you think I would have to cling to that lordships' son? He may be talented, but he can't replace him!" With an angry tone, she put all her energy into pushing and a small head came out. It was a bald head with eyes closed. 

The small body didn't scream at all, which scared the woman but after a few moments he opened his eyes and looked ahead. Still quiet but seemingly very bright and somehow shocked.

Not only he, but also the woman holding him was very shocked.

Eyes so green that they really could have been called emeralds, stemming from a piece of jewellery that one can hardly look away. 

Although the woman was shocked, she quickly recovered her composure and looked at the other woman, who had just borne a baby. She, who just let out and could barely stay awake, wanted to look at the child too, but before she could do anything, the modestly dressed woman took away a clean white towel from the table behind her and put it all around the little child's body.

After wrapping up the body, she looked at the half-conscious woman who struggled to get up. After having finished all the procedures of a pregnancy and also cleaning the little thing, the woman who was struggling still hadn't managed to grab at the baby. She was confused, for her personal maid should have long given her the baby whose gender she didn't even know yet. Seeing the expectant look in her eyes, the modestly dressed couldn't help but sigh.

"Madam, you shouldn't see 'IT', you know that you can't keep 'IT'. Please allow me to take 'IT' away. When I return, I will take you away and we will make sure that no one knows what happened here. All the members of your family and your friends have already been suspicious about your long leave. Although we told them that you are still 'mourning' for a 'friend', they will think weirdly if we don't show up. We've already suppressed the rumours for long enough."

"W-What are you talking about! I want to have hi... it... I want to see my baby! How can you keep it away? What are you going to do with it! Don't you-" the good-looking woman was the one to be interrupted this time.

"Madam, please stay there and don't move, it's dangerous. Don't worry Madam, it's not what you think I am doing that I will be doing. I will send it somewhere where it can 'live' a life without being shunned by all those around it. Madam please, you can't slip the chance you have with his lordship's son! "Ahhhhh... Yes... I can't let it and myself rot here... can you please promise?" The woman compromised, seeing her own future ruined by herself isn't something she could accept either! Of course, it was her own flesh and blood that just came to this world, but if she stayed alone all her life, could she accept that and really not have any regrets?

It was not just a selfish wish, there was genuine fear in her eyes, not knowing what would happen. But thinking of the opportunity to turn her life around... and also 'IT'S'. She couldn't stop thinking about it and made up her resolution that when the child needed her later in life when she was set, she could definitively help.

"Where... forget it, don't tell me where you put 'IT', let me write a letter for it. When it ever needs my help in the future... I HAVE to help! Don't try to stop me!"

The modestly and middle-aged woman nodded, took some paper, a pen, and ink, took a small table and put everything besides the bed. Surprisingly, although the middle-aged woman didn't do anything to help her Madam, she still somehow kept herself from falling unconscious the whole time. If it wasn't willing power... then...

After finishing the latter, the pretty woman who seemed to be only barely twenty years old looked at the thickly wrapped baby. After a glance, there were some tears in her eyes, which she dried with the blanket, not caring whether it was wet itself with sweat from all the energy she used.

Another last look, then she gave the letter away, and like a spell, fell unconscious without sparing another look.

Her maid which followed her for over a decade sighed in relief and carried the child outside the room. Surprisingly, it was quite a spacious shack with a small garden and then another much smaller outdoor room where tools were kept. She opened the door, took out a basket with the baby in it, and then left the shack.

She walked down the mountain with a goal ahead of her and no time to stop, she picked up her speed, and some wind was flying all around her when she took out a hairpin from her inner pocket of her outer garment. The blueish white hairpin looked like a gust of wind and made her body lighter which made it easier to go through the thick snow fallen forest.
