Dante's pov

I was sitting across them and I was nervous as hell.

"How have you been Dante?" Kate asked.

"I guess I've been okay. I....I .....ummmm has she been in touch?"

They looked at each other and Hayden gave a nod. She looked back at me.

"Yes, she has."

I moved to the edge of the sit with excitement.

"How is she? Where is she? Is she coming back? Why hasn't she called me?"

"Dante, calm down." Hayden said.

"She is okay. She says she needs this time away." She looked at Hayden again and he nodded once again. "She says she wants you to be happy and move on. She says you will always have a special place in her heart."

With each word, my heart broke and I was to blame.

"I'm sorry man." Hayden said.

"It's okay. Please do me a favor, when you talk to her again. Let her know that I'm so sorry and I will make it right. She is the one for me. And before I go, can I please just see her room."

"Sure thing."

Kate led me to Lisa's room and left me alone.
