The First Minion
Dante was watching something amazing unfolding before his deep ocean-blue eyes. He looked at it with his lips partially opened as the silver light kept gleaming with its full radiance. The revival of the dead and the restoration of its body.
Would it work for him?
Such a question expectedly emerged within his head. But he didn't want to continue dwelling on things with regard to immortality. That wasn't something he wanted to tackle since there was still the system before him that needed all his concentration.
With this in mind, he kept staring at it, waiting for the restoration process to conclude.
It took a while, but when the restoration process of the monster was completed. The radiant silver light slowly faded along with the darkness that enveloped the dark forest. What was left behind was the monster, Gigantis Kryftis.
It was standing in front of Dante, alive and well.
Following it was the appearance of the notification window, reporting what had happened.

Dante was gazing at his first minion, a Gigantis Kryftis. He looked at it with amazement blazing within his deep ocean-blue eyes. He slowly walked towards it, and the monster seemingly stood frozen. He then touched its cold and pale body before muttering to himself.
"My first subordinate."
The two giant eyes of the monster dully stared at him as it bowed itself to him as a sign of obedience and subservience. It willingly accepted Dante as its master.
Though what amazed Dante wasn't the full obedience of the monster but his incapability of fearing it.
'I don't feel fear to the monster I almost got a heart attack on.'
Before, he feared it as many other normal humans would. But now, no fear took grasp of his heart. Therefore, this made him a bit confused and also made him wonder if this was a side effect of conquering something.
"In any case, I need to experiment more regarding the system," Dante mumbled to himself as other new messages emerged within the notification window. He raised an eyebrow upon noticing it and began reading what it was.

"First trial of Absolute Conquer? Basic Conquer? It looks like the conquer option has many more things I don't know about."
He kept quietly muttering to himself as he couldn't stop thinking about the newly gained information. What should Dante do in this kind of situation? Was there any way to gain more information regarding the Conquer option?
Dante had questions within his mind, and they were answered with the newly arrived notifications.

He couldn't even continue speaking after being bombarded by the important information he desperately needed. He thought that he would be happy to learn more about the conquer option. But now, he was slightly regretting learning more about it.
Maybe ignorance was bliss?
"This is kind of unexpected."
"I didn't know that the system has the ability to deal with balancing issues."
Dante thought that he would be able to do a lot with the conquer option. After all, couldn't he go to some corpse field of monsters? He could create an army there and basically conquer the world with it. Ahem, maybe not conquer the world.
But he would be unstoppable.
"Conquer option uses energy and spirit attribute as its power. It has the ability to fail the subjugation. And for it to even appear, I need to slay the enemy myself."
It was different compared to summoning, which relied on luck and talent. This kind of information was basically asking Dante to create a build around it.
"But still, this isn't too bad."
"I guess this is to prevent things from getting too overpowered."
He sighed as it was regrettable for many restrictions to be in place. It was understandable, and this was far from the stories he had read. He was in a new world, and it was his new reality. He should separate his expectations and reality.
Otherwise, it would become very problematic.
"At any rate, the first trial of Absolute Conquer must mean that I can use the conquer option without any restrictions. I wonder how much I have since the system called it the first trial."
"Are there second or third trial?"
Dante kept mumbling to himself, and this thought process made sense.
Upon such words, as if answering him, new notifications appeared out of nowhere.

The new information made Dante's slightly depressed eyes widen and gleam with the light of hope. There were two trials of Absolute Conquer left, which was a piece of good news. It might even be the best news.
'I need to save the Absolute Conquer trial until I kill a monster that has more spirit attribute than me.'
He thought as he was beginning to consider the Absolute Conquer as the last choice in the conquer option. Its rarity was unquestionable, and it might be worth more than anything in this world.
Besides, Absolute Conquer might bypass some of the balancing restrictions.
"Hehehe, I need to find a strong monster corpse."
Dante began chuckling while being shrouded under the darkness of the dark forest. Ideas popped up in his head on how to use the free trial of Absolute Conquer. But before that, he needed to reach the goal as he was wasting too much time within the dark forest.
"I guess its time for me to continue on."
"Or should I do something else?"
He turned his gaze towards the bowing monster, who was entirely under his control. There was one thought plaguing his mind while staring at it.
What's stopping him from hunting everything in the dark forest?
With the monster's help, it might become easier for him to tread through the forest. Hunting others would also become efficient since the monster would be the one at the front lines.
"Looks like I'll be staying here for a short while."
He smirked and continued to give the monster before him its first orders.
"Display the way you attack and how you do it."
It was a straightforward order, and the reason why he wanted the monster to do such a thing was to understand its moves. Since the monster would be at the front line, it was his job to understand what kind of moves or orders he would give to the monster.
'Not gonna lie, this is becoming similar to that of pok*mon.'
A random thought passed through his head, and he couldn't disagree with it.
The monster then nodded at Dante and accepted his orders. It began displaying its attacks while Dante was standing right beside it.
The first attack was swiping its sharp arms.
The second attack was biting with its sharp and powerful jaws.
The third attack or move was hopping out of danger.
The fourth was the ability to easily climb through branches.
It was rather simple, and Dante, looking at it, couldn't help but have the edges of his lips raise. He was grinning at the monster as it stopped using its moves and was awaiting his orders.
He slowly walked towards it as he steadily took out something from his black bag.
"It appears that the two of us will start our hunting session."
