The truth - Part 2

"What do you have to ask us, Damen?" Kieran broke the awkward silence in the air as he watched Damen struggling to voice his thoughts. His dilemma was written on his face, giving away his turmoil subtly.

"Your Majesty, how long have you known about my sister?"

Kieran was just about to voice his doubts when realization dawned upon him and he shut his lips tight. He glanced at Irene, who nodded at him in return, confirming his guess.

"Well, I found out that Irene was Sylvaine only yesterday." Kieran was honest with Damen. He had nothing to hide when the young man already knew the truth about Irene.

"And as to her being my Queen, it was decided long ago, long before you were even born, Damen."

Damen frowned in confusion at the King's mysterious words. But he did not question him about it, waiting for the man to reveal it if he wanted to.
