Near a small lake at the tranquil province of Huoluo City of the Xue Kingdom existed a small hut. The inside of the hut was not anything great, there were few everyday supplies and a small stone bed. An old man could be seen sitting on it. Everything was in harmony, and it felt as though not even the destruction of the universe could change any of it.
However, everything momentarily broke when old man heard a knock on his door. He could hear a person say, "Is the boat ride currently available?, we need to go the neighbouring xia city." Hearing this, the old man smiled and replied, "Yes, I'll get the ride ready in a few minutes".
He soon got ready to leave the hut, taking along with himself some dried rations, and a pot of water. After he opened the doors, what greeted his eyes was a middle aged man who was along with a small boy carrying a backpack. He smiled towards them and said, "Let's go".
While sailing, the old man was lost in thought, he knew his days are outnumbered and he would probably leave the world soon. However, he still felt like he had many things that he wanted to do, things that he wanted to achieve. He didn't know who his parents were since young, he lived here and there for most of his life.
Throughout the years he had encountered many things. He still still remembered the first time he saw an Immortal flying through the skies which made him cowar in fear. Since then, his ultimate goal in life was to become an Immortal, to fly through the heavens, to achieve immortality, to have heavenly beauties in his arms, but if becoming an Immortal was that easy, then everyone would be one.
During his middle years after that experience, he tried doing many things, trying his best to join some sort of sect. He didn't even care what kind of sect it was as his passion for immortality kept him going. However, eventhough he did had some talent but he was too old, so he never got a chance to join any.
However, those things still couldn't hamper his determination. He felt like roaming through the mountains, and look for caves, maybe he might have some lucky encounter that could change his destiny. However, was getting lucky encounters that easy? Clearly not.
As he spent most of his life in the goal that he could never achieve, he remembered he was turning old. His body wasn't strong enough for him to still travel here and there. Throughout all his life, what he need the most was direction. He didn't care how long or how dangerous it would be, he just wanted someone to point it out.
Though the years, made his skin old and wrinkly, his heart was still young, burning with passion to become divine, to become an Immortal. He felt like he was born to be one. But reality was too cruel. While he was lost in thought, the young boy came towards him and asked, "Hello elder, what is your name?".
Hearing this the old man, broke out of his thoughts, still having that smile and replied, "You can call me Elder Xue".
