Eaten by a tall lady

Aiden was afraid, as a feeling of being watched plagued him.

After coming out of the hole Aiden found out that he was in a vast field of purple vegetation.

Every plant every blade of grass was freaking purple, seeing this, his grip on the rock tightened as he stepped forward to explore.

The soil beneath his feet was pitch black as if dipped in high-quality ink, looking at the sky it was filled with thunderclouds signifying that a heavy rain was about to fall.

The clouds blocked the sun but Aiden could still make out a blood-red glow in the sky suggesting that the sun was red.

White mist so thick that it hindered his vision stopped Aiden from moving freely as his eyes looked on carefully for even the slightest ounce of danger.

But no matter how much he focused he could only make out blurry outlines in the distance.

As he explored he would stop to examine the purple blades of grass that grew from the pitch-black soil but after doing this for a while Aiden got bored of it and decided to focus on his task which was finding a way out of this place.

"Chi, chi," after more than an hour of walking the sound of digging came from the side; due to how quiet everything was Aiden noticed the sound immediately, causing him to be on guard, slowly he walked towards the sound with squinted eyes.

Walking even closer Aiden finally saw the creature, it looked like a human child but its gender was unidentified, from where he was he could tell that the child was eating something making Aiden feel curious, part of his curiosity was because he was really hungry as well.

As if sensing Aiden's presence the child lifted its head, and with its head raised Aiden could finally see the person.

She had black pupils with short hair, the reason Aiden thought she was a girl was because of her delicate features and plain white gown.

"Is she stuck here like me?" Aiden thought, he didn't know what a child was doing here but he did realize one thing, her mouth was stuffed with dirt.

Immediately Aiden's fatherly instincts flared up as he walked up to her, "Hello darling you have to spit that out, it's not good for you."

Girl: -_-

"SPAT!"

The girl didn't answer but surprisingly she spat out the dirt, seeing this Aiden felt proud for some reason, so he boldly walked up to her and patted her on the head, "My name's Aiden, what's yours?" He asked.

Aiden figured that the girl's parents would be nearby he didn't know what she was doing here but maybe her parents could explain where he was.

The girl didn't seem to mind though, she held onto Aiden's arm creating a rather cute scene, but in that moment she did something extremely terrifying.

It happened in a flash, her mouth opened inhumanly wide so much so that her cheeks tore and blood leaked out from the side of her now extended cheeks.

Her wide open mouth revealed her blood-red gums with rows upon rows of monster-like teeth.

With so much speed her jaws clamped down on Aiden's right arm ripping a sizable chunk of flesh from it in a very brutal fashion.

Blood spilled everywhere.

You know that feeling where your eyes could see everything that was happening but your brain was too confused to send a message to your body to react?

That was exactly what Aiden was feeling right now.

It took a moment for the pain to come but when it did Aiden felt it, like a jolt through his system.

"Ahhhhh," he screamed in pain, in a panic he swung his left arm "Bang," the rock hit the monster on the face and her body was sent flying sideways.

Even though her jaw strength and bite force were monstrous she still had the body of a six-year-old.

"Whaaaa, Whaaaa," the child cried, but Aiden didn't give a shit about that, quickly he ran towards her and continued what he started, with adrenaline, and fear rushing through him at the same time.

"Bang," "Bang," "Bang," he continued hitting it with the rock in his left arm until finally it stopped moving.

"Where the fuck am I," Aiden thought as he got up and fled the scene, quickly he tore a piece of his shirt and wrapped it around the ghastly wound.

His arm was hurting badly, but the adrenaline diluted the pain, "what was that thing," Aiden muttered as he caught his breath.

"Shit I forgot my rock," he suddenly realized.

He was painfully lost so he couldn't go back to the cave, and all he could see around him was black sand and purple plants.

Right now he was lost without a weapon, thinking about the possibility of encountering another being like that Aiden thought, "I have to get my rock back."

"At least I killed that thing," Aiden thought.

Walking in the direction he had run from he neared the spot where he killed the monster, but as he neared he smelled something.

It smelt nice like Mother cooking, and the closer he got the more intense the aroma.

Finally, Aiden got close enough to see but what he saw froze him on the spot.

He found the thing that he killed alright but now the child was in the hands of something else.

It was a woman about eight to fifteen feet tall, she wore a long and damp white summer dress that was completely stained with blood.

She also wore a white hat that hid her eyes under a shade and was currently holding the dead child by the foot.

For those that don't understand how tall fifteen feet is if you stood next to someone that was fifteen feet tall, it would be comparable to a scene where an adult was walking his child.

This woman sensed Aiden's presence immediately and turned to look at him.

Her dead eyes were smiling at him through the shade of her white hat, and at that exact moment, she did something extremely terrifying.

Raising the dead child above her head her mouth opened extremely wide so much so that her cheeks tore.

It opened so wide that it could be comparable to a big bowl, and inside her monstrous mouth were rows upon rows of sharp teeth positioned in ways that made no sense.

This being never broke eye contact with Aiden throughout the process and just like that she let go.

"Slat," her mouth closed extremely fast as blood splattered everywhere, a huge lump could be seen flowing down her thin throat disappearing into the depths of her abysmal stomach.

As if enjoying her disgusting act this monster smiled so inhumanly that it sent shivers down Aiden's spine, then she put her finger in her mouth and smacked her lips, "PO!"

That hellish sound seemed to echo repeatedly in Aiden's mind like a war drum.

"Badump!"

"Badump!"

Aiden's heart threatened to burst out of his chest, at that moment he remembered what he read in the cave.

"If you go outside and find any being that looks like a human child kill it before it cries if you're unable to run as fast as your legs will carry you."

Aiden took that advice, he ran and didn't even think of fighting back once.

Aiden ran and ran, he looked back and he could see her disappearing in the distance making him let out a short breath.

"Bam," he bumped into something soft just as he was about to let out a sigh, due to how fast he was running he bounced back and fell on his butt a tall shadow looming over him.

Looking up Aiden could see a disturbingly tall woman, staring straight at him with her dead eyes.

It was as if a bucket of water had been poured over him.

The tall Lady didn't speak, instead, she picked Aiden by his foot, effortlessly she lifted him above her head like the dead child.

Quickly Aiden realized what was about to happen.

He groaned and wiggled, struggling for his life as the blood in his body circulated at an extreme pace.

"Crack," he wiggled with so much force that his leg dislocated, "Ahhhhh," Aiden screamed as tears fell from his eyes.

Seeing Aiden struggle so much, dangling like a moth above her made the monster smile.

It smiled so much that its mouth opened, and in one smooth motion, she let go of Aiden's leg.

"Splat," Aiden could briefly feel the terrible pain of his flesh and bones getting crushed before his life ended.

***********

"So he's dead?" a female voice sounded out in a dimly lit room.

The female voice was familiar and if Aiden was here he would recognize the voice of the vice-captain of the Silence.

The shadows of three people could be seen in this room, standing in front of her with a heavy presence, "yes he's dead," a familiar male voice replied before continuing.

"We searched fifty miles in all directions from the location of the car crash but our searches came out empty, thinking that maybe he was rescued we reached out to all our forces across the seventh shelter but we still came out empty."

After a profound silence, one of the figures spoke softly, "Agent Gold, perhaps it's time we cease the search. Despite our exhaustive efforts, the probability of not uncovering any trace seems insurmountable. I fear he may truly have passed away."

"And how do you explain the missing body?" the third figure asked.

"SILENCE!"

A female voice sounded out, and immediately after that voice was heard the three men stopped arguing.

Beautiful purple eyes scanned the figures with an intense glare until a voice finally spoke.

"We will continue our search but we have to exercise caution, after all, it remains unknown if the other shelters are involved so run a hell energy scan and bring back results, we have to find out if a demon played a part in this as well, is that understood?" The voice asked.

"Yes Miss Lotus," the three figures said simultaneously.

Nodded Lotus said, "Everyone is excused except Alex."

With that, the two figures quickly left leaving the one called Alex behind.

With the two unknown men gone Alex was left alone in a room with this terrifying woman.

The room was quiet and Alex was starting to feel awkward, honestly, Alex thought that the room was too dark, but those who knew Lotus would always know that she had never been a fan of bright places.

"You wanted to ask me something?" Lotus finally asked as her purple eyes focused on Alex.

Alex was a little surprised, throughout the conversation just now he had wanted to ask a question but he didn't want it to seem like he was questioning his boss, by now he was already used to her knowing what was on his mind so he asked.

"Why are you interested in this Aiden so much?"

Hearing this question Lotus remained unspoken for a while but she eventually said.

"Tell me Alex, what are the chances that a human with not even a single ounce of hell energy on him would be able to see through one of the abilities of my strongest demon?"

"None," Alex replied without hesitation before saying.

"Even a Contractor who was several levels higher than…. Wait a minute, you don't mean-"

"Yes I'm dead serious Alex," Lotus replied.

Hearing this Alex pondered, "This could change everything just that one ability alone is incredibly valuable, if we were to get him contracted with a suitable demon we could very well be on our way to creating a powerhouse."

Alex seemed excited for some reason, "calm down Alex," Lotus said, "Now you know why I place so much importance on him, but we can't do anything if we don't even know where he is, we have to find Aiden."

*********

Aiden opened his eyes with the memory of how he died fresh in his mind, he could see but for some reason, he couldn't move.

The back of a familiar statue was in front of him and it reminded him of the statues back at the purple cave, his senses were a little disorientated so he couldn't make sense of it all.

"Crack!"

"Crack!"

The sound of cracking echoed out sounding extremely loud until finally "bam," Aiden suddenly fell on the ground.

Around him was a heap of shattered stone pieces.

"What just happened?" Aiden muttered, his mind had finally cleared up and he seemed to understand what just happened, "did I just fucking re-spawn?"

His senses weren't tricking him, he was currently in that large cave, and around him were countless statues with one statue less which was the one he just burst out from.

Aiden remembered how it felt, he felt like he had a thick layer of cement around him and the cement just broke apart freeing him.

It was certainly a strange experience, his mind flashed back to what was written in the book, "I found out what the statues are used for and it's quite terrifying."

What was terrifying about this? Looking at the endless number of statues around him Aiden felt like shouting out, "I'm freaking immortal," he thought.

Climbing back into the narrow cave Aiden had never been happier, "I can't believe how happy I am being able to see this place again."

He just felt happy about being able to escape from death's clutches.

The reason Aiden went back into the cave was because the only thing that could answer his question was there, he was thankful that he had listened and didn't take the book with him otherwise he would have lost it.

The book was right where he left it on top of the makeshift table.

Opening a few pages Aiden found out that the page he was unable to open previously had now opened, quickly Aiden sat down and read its contents.

[Entry 4: If you can open the book to this page then it means you have at least died once, how did it feel to come back to life?]

[I felt scared the first time but I kind of got the hang of it now, I'm not going to waste your time and get straight to the point, I don't know if there will ever be a next person after me but if there is I assume that you would already be aware of this, you'll die a lot, this is a trial a test of sorts and if you pass I'm not too sure what one would obtain but one thing is for sure, if you are here it means I failed my trail.]

"Even this person failed the trial, I thought he was a Contractor," Aiden thought, the gravity of the situation hitting him like a storm.

Flipping to the next page Aiden curiously read its content.

[I'm sure you already know this but we can't use the power of our demons in this place, our contracts are useless, and the first thing you need to know is that the statutes are not unlimited, I took my time to count and I only have a hundred thousand chances and each time I die that's a minus one, note that you can also die of hunger which is painful and slow.]

Aiden was suddenly reminded of the grimness of his situation, even though he had re-spawned he still felt hungry, feeling sober Aiden flipped to the next page.
