Under Attack

They had walked for a while until they reached the fighting arena.

Sam was interested in seeing how the people in this world fought and had purposely walked towards the direction that he had sensed with a large amount of cultivator through his spiritual sense.

When he arrived there, he saw a group of cultivator grouping around a fighting arena, Sam walked a bit closer but was still far enough from the crowd to not be seen by them. He didn't need to get any closer, as from this distance he could clearly see the fight.

"Seems like some of the core members of our sect are competing against each other", 1st Master said in order to inform Sam of what was happening.

The fight seemed a bit boring in the eyes of Sam, he had not witnessed anything special from the moment he had started watching but that only lasted until both sides took out their swords.

The Sword sect sole focus was in the way of the Sword and one of the ways that one could show that they were a true genius in Sword sect was by developing sword Qi. The core members of Sword sect all had developed their sword Qi. These people were the future generations of Sword sect, these people would eventually replace the 5 masters of Sword sect.

Each core member were ranked based on their strength, normally there would be no need for this competition that was taking place right now, but ever since Sam's release of his Ki he had effected the ranking majorly, he had given the whole of Sword sect a blessing, and a miracle to the people who truely were able to use this blessing and strengthen themselves, which had now caused this shuffle in rankings.

Swords started to form from thin air, each releasing a powerful and dominating aura, which suppressed all other cultivator's aura.

The swords were formed by the ranked 1 core member of Sword sect, this power showcased by him was dominating when it was compared to other members of the Sword sect. Which was to show the title of being ranked 1st. None of the sect member of Sword sect stood a chance against this man, specially when considering he had used the short period that Sam's Ki was suppressing them to catapult his sword Qi to a completely whole different level.

He was now able to control a total of 12 swords made from Qi on command from 4. His power even shocked his opponent who was ranked second. But he did not back down, he himself had focused on his path of the sword under Sam's pressure and now had been gifted with the ability to control his sword Qi and manipulate it with his own heavenly Qi, which resulted in the 2 Qi's fusing and becoming much more destructive.

A strand of Qi came out of his hand and slowly covered his sword, his sword was glowing gold as it was fed with Qi.

The stared each other down before commencing the fight, all 12 swords of the first ranked were sent at an incredible speed towards the head of the 2nd ranked.

One by one they all followed but none of them landed on the target. It seemed like he had used a movement technique to dodge the attacks then immediately attack the 1st rank member.

They were both going for each other's head, no fear of the other dying as they could not die in this stage as long as they were in it.

The stage was a high ranked creation of a talisman master, in this stage all damage were negated, only sort of damage that was done to the people in the stage was damage that did not have Qi in it.

As the 2nd ranked's sword came near the head of the 1st ranker, one by one sword appeared in front of him, the 2nd ranked slashed his sword with all his might in order to break these swords made from sword Qi but when his sword landed on one of them there was only a dent. His sword was stopped before it could cut through the Qi sword.

Not letting the 2nd ranker time to react the first ranker, used his other 11 swords to attack him from all directions. The 1st ranker was about to use his movement technique but he noticed that the hand that was holding his sword was being held tightly by the 1st ranker, making it impossible for him to use his movement technique.

Seeing that he was caught they, both understood the result and stopped the fight. Each with drew their sword Qis and were ready to go back now that the ranking were decided, but they were suddenly caught off guard.

The siren that was placed in the ship went off, with a loud sound that shook the core of the ship. This siren only meant one thing, they were about to be attack. All sword sect member pulled out their swords anticipating an attack at any moment.

Suddenly the ship which felt like an immovable mountain was pushed back with huge waves caused by the water raising on 1 side.

Slowly the water cleared but before they could get a clear view what this beast was, a huge tentacle came down on the ship.

This tentacle was able to cast a shadow that went from one side of the ship to the other side as it slowly descended upon the ship.

The cultivator on board were scared shitless, this was far above their level. The members that were currently able to witness this were all just low levelled members and not a powerful member of the sect.

To them the slow descending tentacle only meant one thing. Death.

None of the sect member had the capability to repel such an attack and could just stand there as the massive tentacle came down to crush them.

"Boom"

The members of sword sect were expecting the giant tentacle to land upon them but then suddenly a huge explosion occurred in the air. The huge tentacle they just saw that was about to crush them was flying back.m

They were all shocked and could only think of one person that could do this.

Amongst the cloud of explosion they saw a figure of an individual they all knew, it was the strongest person on this ship, It was 1st Master of the Sword sect.
