Chapter 32, The Prideful Shrine Maiden.

"That commoner got pushed by Shirayuri-sama, she got what she deserves." A man chuckled slightly.

"Filthy peasant, really trying to dirty our noble books." Another man laughed.

Shukona and Yuutsu heard the ruckus and they both sighed.

[Commoner… Does that mean that the commoner got in trouble?! Tch, she really is just a stupid commoner.] Shukona thought, tapping her fingers on the table. Annoyed at the noise.

"Geez people, this is the library." Yuutsu nervously laughed.

"Tch, how barbaric… I just wanted to relax for goodness sake!! Ugh…" Shunkona stood up and groaned.

"Huh? Where are you going?" Yuutsu asked Shukona, tilting her head.

Shukona looks back at her, glaring.

"Let us come already fake noble, we must fix this problem. If you truly want me to think you are even slightly elegant… This is the time." Shukona sighed and flipped her hair, going straight to where the ruckus was. Not looking back.

Yuutsu giggled and stood up as well.

"Haa! Geez! Fine fine, it's really hard to woo you huh! Well, I like girls who play hard to geeett~" Yuutsu giggled yet again.

Shukona and Yuutsu were a bit startled when they saw this, a small blonde girl laughing at the Yasachu who was on the ground. Yasachu had books on her head and other parts of her body, they assumed that the books fell on her.

Nobles were snickering and whispering at each other towards Yasachu. Some nobles were pointing at Nikami and at the short blonde girl.

Shukona's eyes widened as her eyes laid on Nikami's gloves, she saw that the gloves had some ice on it.

[What the…? Ice? Is she mad?! Wha?! But… at what?! She rarely shows a hint of emotion!! Especially, why towards that filthy commoner?!!] Shukona thought as she glared at Yasachu and went walking towards Nikami, she was quick paced.

"Who is she?" A boy asked a girl next to him

"Oh! I think she's Shukona Amatarini…" The girl answered.

"Se-seriously?! An Amatarini?! Those power trio brothers have a sister?!" The boy stumbled back a bit.

"Yes… But I heard she was very different from her brothers…" The girl nodded.

"How so?" The boy asked.

"Well-"

Shukona shook her head, still going towards Nikami. Trying to shake their voices off her head.

[Kh, trying to compare me to my brothers again… damn you…] Shukona thought while gritting her teeth.

Yuutsu saw Yasachu like that and felt pity for the little girl, she acted quick and went in front of Yasachu and lent out her hand to make her get up, Yasachu took her hand and Yuutsu pulled her up from the ground. After that, she bowed down to the small blonde girl.

Some nobles saw her do this and had different reactions.

"Ahh~ she is such a gentle girl… Kurogane-sama~" A girl giggles.

"You know her? Well, she seems like a nice girl~" Another girl fangirls.

"What is she doing? Why is she helping that peasant?" A boy sighed.

"How icky… I heard that the girl is a playgirl, she was an old peasant as well…" A girl groans.

"Greetings my lady, may I ask why are you so mad at Chu-chan?" Yuutsu smiled gently at the small blonde girl, But inside she was very pissed.

Meanwhile, Shukona took Nikami's left hand and held it tightly.

Shukona slightly winces because of the cold glove, it felt like she was putting her hand under the ice in a frozen lake. Luckily the glove had anti-ice magic enchantment, but it wasn't enough to hold her back, The glove was only barely holding back Nikami's icy cold wrath.

"K-kh…" Shukona couldn't help but let out a yelp of pain, her hand felt numb, yet she won't let go. Of course, she won't, she is THE Shukona Amatarini.

"Ni-Nika… Calm down, a noble mustn't be mad… At something so simple… You look pathetic right now…" Shukona whispered to Nikami, who was still staring wide-eyed at Yasachu.

Shukona held her hands even tighter, she couldn't feel her hands anymore. It was cold, too cold. But she won't let go unless Nikami would calm down.

"..." Nikami let out a small sigh, she turned her head towards Shukona with a slightly saddened look. Shukona could feel her hands slightly shaking.

Shukona felt the glove slightly get warmer and warmer, Nikami holding back Shukona's hand.

"I-... I'm sorry… It's just… I don't know what got into me… I…" Nikami wanted to hug Shukona and lay her head into her shoulders again, but there are so many eyes on them. She can't just do that, the only thing she can do now is hold Shukona's hand and feel her warmth that way.

"Don't mutter a word. I know." Shukona sighed but smiled at her, still holding her hand tightly.

"... Thanks Shu." She nodded at her, trying to compose myself.

"You made my hands numb you idiot…" Shukona muttered as she held my hands tightly, the coldness slowly melting away because of her body heat.

"Sorry…" I apologized for my behavior, and looked at Yuutsu, Yasachu, and the short blonde girl.

"Hmm? Why are you protecting a peasant like her? Oh right, you are an old peasant too, are not?! Just because you're a noble now doesn't mean you have any less power than you had!! Ohohoho!" The short blonde girl laughed.

Yuutsu was pissed but never showed it on her face, she still had the same gentle smile on her face.

"Yes of course I know-" Yuutsu was talking but someone cut her off.

"Are you a light user too?!" The silent Yasachu finally talked and she quickly put the book that was on her and walked towards the short blonde girl and smiled. Her eyes shimmered brightly.

"Huh?" Yuutsu let out a small noise of astonishment.

"T-too…? Does that mean… You also have light magic?" The short blonde girl is slightly confused.

"Yes! I never thought I would see another light user! I am so happy to see someone like you!" Yasachu boldly took both of the short blonde girl's hand and clasped them together.

"Wh-wha…?" The short blonde girl was still stunned to see a light user like her.

"Can I ask what your name is?!" Yasachu excitedly asked the short blonde girl's name, her shining eyes glued to the short blonde's confused eyes.

"We-well! My name is Ajisa Shirayuri! Remember that name well! for I am the Miko Queen of the holy country, Yamitai!" She shook off Yasachu's hand and took a step back. Slightly shaking while looking at Yasachu.

[This is Ajisa Shirayuri, Another capture target. The prideful shrine maiden, she is based on The Queen Miko, Himiko back in japan, she leads the kingdom of YamAtai. Not Yamitai, I guess they changed the kingdom's name… Well the kingdom itself is Japan, but with slight alterations. Just like the name itself…She is the mirror character to Shu, she is Prideful, and thinks she knows better. Well, the difference between the two seems to be unclear when you first meet them… But it's simple, Shukona is a Tsundere and Ajisa is a Himedere. Ajisa thinks that she is above everyone BUT Amitaratsu. Which is basically Amataratsu… The sun goddess in Japan. Why is there a mirror character to Shukona you may ask? Well, it is because to try to not make it obvious that Shukona is a capture target. And I, I mean Nikami, in the game also actually has a mirror character too. for the same reason as Shukona…] Nikami thought, as she was still holding Shukona's hand.

They heard the doors slam open, with loud footsteps coming right after. They heard the footsteps coming towards the counter, where Kikyou was.

"Ah! Its the student council president..." A noble gasped.

"Well, the library is supposed to be a silent place after all..." A girl shook her head.

"So where is Ajisa-sama causing trouble again?" Nikami heard a distant voice said, She could make out that it was a cultured female voice.

"W-well u-uhm... O-over t-to the 3rd aisle..." Nikami heard a squeaky voice from afar, She think it was Kikyou's voice.

After Kikyou's directions, Nikami heard footsteps coming towards us.

"Seriously Ajisa-sama, causing trouble again? Cut them some slack. They are just first years." They heard a mature and deep voice behind them, it was quite seductive but calm.
