Henry's dark eyebrows knit together and it was evident he was bothered by the news. When the commander held out the letter, Henry took it from the older knight's hands and scanned the page.
"A hunting party?" Henry asked.
"I get invited each year," the commander said. "It seems they've decided to send out a late invitation for someone else who's caught their attention."
The commander conveniently left out the part where he regularly ignored the invitation despite the king's insistence to send it. Perhaps that would be the year he would attend considering Henry would likely try to gain the Royal Family's favor.
"In two days," Henry uttered, completely shocked.
He was looking at the paper but the realization struck him at how soon the invitation wanted him to be back at the palace.
