"There's no word about the princess and a knight," Sylvia snapped, barrelling through the door she was clearly eavesdropping through. "You made that up in your book, hoping it would make Henry have a chance with a noble lady."
Sylvia was sweating as if she had been walking quickly. She threw off her cloak and gave Henry a toothy smile. He didn't see it because his forehead was resting in his arms on the table at her words.
"Hello, Henry," Sylvia said. "Why mince words when you already know your mom's secret?"
Henry lifted up his head slowly and had an unamused expression on his face. Little did the sisters know, they weren't helping him at all.
He didn't think the princess cared much for the book. There was no way for him to find out how she studied each line of the book like it was the bible. As far as he could tell, she only read it because she wanted to know if it was about him.
