Demon, what are you doing?!

"Hua, don't mind him. He isn't telling the truth- how can he just sell you off." Hu Ying speaks, trying to comfort Yi Hua but in daze her mother's words went past her ears.

Hu Ying frowns when he finds her still, she shakes her firmly and Yi Hua comes out of her trance, Yi Hua blinks her eyes and looks at her mother, "I am fine, Ma. I need to go and wash off my face." Yi Hua says, grabbing her mother's arm and squeezing it firmly and assuringly.

"Hua…" Hu Ying mutters, "Big Sister…" Yi Hua looks to her side and finds Si Yan standing with a sorry smile and finds little Cao peeking at her, "Are you okay?" He asks, cutely.

Shi Lian and Tao Tao excuse themself with a huff, Yi Hua chuckles, "I am fine, little cutie." Yi Hua says, "Are you sure? Does it hurt?" Si Yan asks, tilting her head and watching Yi Hua with concern.

"Actually, I am fine. It's nothing. You all should go back and rest." Yi Hua says, excusing herself, "Wow!!" Little Cao screams, running towards Lin Yi, "Big Sister, where did you find him?" He asks, inching up on his toes to get a hold of Lu Yang Yang.

"Yi Hua chuckles and takes Lu Yang Yang from her hand, "Don't let the kid get me, I am warning you." He says, holding onto Yi Hua, "I want to hold him." Little Cao whines and jumps on his feet.

"Not now… he will bite you." Yi Hua says while Lu Yang Yang growls at little Cao trying to push him away, little Cao pouts, taking a step back scared because of the growls.

"But… I wanted to hold it." He says on the verge of tears, Si Yan chuckles and walks up to him, "Come on, we will go back and play with your doll." Si Yan picks him up while little Cao wraps his arm around his mother's neck and sniffs.

"I am sorry." Yi Hua apologizes, Si Yan shakes her head and mumbles, "It's fine." and she walks away, "Hua, take care. I will try to talk to him." Hu Ying says, caressing Yi Hua's head.

"No, Ma. Dad seems determined so there is no way he would listen to you." Yi Hua says, "But-"

"I am okay, Ma. I will do something on my own." Yi Hua says, hugging her mother by her side and pulling away, "Rest assured, if I am supposed to get married… I will. If not, I won't." Yi Hua says and walks away with Lin Yi following behind.

"Hua…" Hu Ying mumbles, tearing up as she watches her daughter walk away. With a heavy heart she wipes her tears and walks off.

"Your Highness, are you okay?" Lin Yi asks, Yi hua silently walks ahead and Lin Yi frowns, growing worried of her. "Are you sure you are fine?" Lu Yang Yang asks, licking her hand while Yi Hua sighs, "I am just baffled, nothing more." She replies.

Lin Yi blinks her eyes, "I understand." Lin Yi says, silently following behind, "That man is very suspicious. I kept my eyes onto him and he had his eyes on you the whole time." Lu Yang Yang says, Yi Hua widens her eyes and halts.

Lin Yi gasps, "What's wrong, Your Highness?" Yi Hua blinks her eyes and Lin Yi looks at Yi Hua, "Nothing but how do you feel about him?" Yi Hua asks, Lin Yi bites her lip and looks away.

"How dare I comment on the demon lord." Lin Yi says, hesitantly while Yi Hua heaves out a sigh, "Nevermind." She mutters, taking in a deep breath she walks away.

Lin Yi tilts her head, processing everything Lin Yi gasps and runs after Yi Hua, catching up, "Your Highness, he seemed handsome and he also seemed interested in you despite your make-up." Lin Yi says, speaking her words with caution.

Yi Hua groans and looks at Lin Yi, "Um, I am sorry if I said something wrong." Lin Yi bows her head, baffled with her repelled reaction, "You also think the same? Does he seem interested in me? Is he into some ugly woman?" Yi Hua shouts, groaning as she continues walking towards her pavilion.

Lin Yi pouts, "We can know that if you talk to him directly and ask him that on his face." Lu Yang Yang speaks, Yi Hua rolls her eyes, "I don't know about that, Your Highness." Lin Yi says, looking down and holding her arm with her lips pressed in a thin line.

"It's fine, Yi Yi." Yi Hua says, chuckling as they walk into the chamber, "I want to take a rest, you can do so too." Yi Hua says, pushing Lin Yi inside her room, "But Your Highness, you need me-"

"No, I am good. I will take a bath and then just take a rest." Yi Hua says, smiling assuringly, Lin Yi frowns with an unsure look, pleading Yi Hua to tag along but Yi Hua shuts the door and makes her way towards her own room.

"Yang Yang, can you go and check up on Dao Ye? He hasn't been around since yesterday." Yi Hua says, placing Lu Yang Yang on the ground, "Sure." He mumbles and runs off.

Yi Hua takes a deep breath and opens the door, walking in and leaning against the door, "Ugh, why am I in this mess?!" She groans, grabbing the veil and rubbing her face, a little forcefully in frustration and rage, scoffing impatiently she throws the veil on the ground.

"It's not a pleasant way to welcome a guest."

Yi Hua yelps in surprise and turns towards the source of the voice but she gasps, cupping her mouth shut in shock and surprise seeing the demon king, himself, sitting against the window with that smirk of his.

"You…what are you doing in here?!" She shouts, pointing at him while Luo Yan chuckles with his hoarse voice and jumps inside, Yi Hua gulps and steps back as he approaches her, each step increasing her heartbeat erratically, she was nervous and scared.
