I Wanna be an Eevee Master

So this is what that caution that the administrator talks about. I'm just a normal boy of 15 years' age. I'm just the third son. My studies are below average and I just barely pass my elementary school. Then I give up further education and just help around my family farm. Three days ago I have some terrible fever and I suddenly remember my previous live.

In that live I'm just a normal factory worker. Since there's a holiday coming up, I just decide to waste my time playing a game that suddenly pop up I my pc. But I didn't expect that game is really an invitation to another world. I just realize that this world is really the world mention in that game. The world of pokemon.

Now that I think about it I regret it a little that I didn't choose another world. The world of pokemon is actually quite good, but compare with other world like One Piece with haki and Devil fruit, Naruto with chakra and ninjutsu, or Fairytale with magic its kind a pale in comparison.

But at lease this world is quite save. Other than some evil organisation somewhere plotting world domination. It can guarantee that I can somehow live peacefully. I also have something I can call a cheat that I got. With this I can safely got to the top of the world somehow. I don't really have much attachment to my previous live since I'm just a factory worker struggling on the bottom tier of society. My parent has pass away a few years ago, I'm not married even in my 30 and I don't have any relative that I'm close with. The only pity is about my friend but it's not like there's anything I can do about it.

This world is really the world of pokemon. Since I have the whole memories from my current live. But there are some different from the one show in manga and anime. My family main trade is a breeder. In the game there are some pokemon that cannot be found in the wild. They need some special event to get for example the starter pokemon, hitmonlee, hitmonchop and many other pokemon. If you play the game you might notice it. Base on this world logic those pokemon are very rare pokemon and to make sure they didn't go extinct some family are assign by the pokemon association to breed them. My family is the eevee breeder.

But eevee is not a very popular pokemon since the normal form is not very strong and the evolve form is very hard to get. It's not as hard as in the game where you need the elemental stone to evolve. It can also evolve naturally but you need special training and elemental treasure. The only selling point for the normal eevee is its cuteness. So we don't really have much demand and we can barely make a living. But my family is very close with each other. My parent in good health, my eldest brother is the family heir and my second brother is smart and he got accepted into a very good school.

This mean that I am the useless third son but my parent still treats me well. Before this I don't have any aim for the future but after getting my past life memories I've decided to be a pokemon master. More specifically I'll aim for eevee evolution team. It might be hard for other people to find all the elemental stone but for me who have copied all the walkthrough it won't be a problem at all. I've decided to ask permission from my family to travel at dinner tonight.

Tonight dinner is quite special since today is the new year. The setting of the kanto region is about the same as the western modern society. So the main menu is white bread and roasted chicken and many other supporting dish. The one thing that I learn about this world that different than the anime is there are normal animal exist in this world. But it just for animal that breed as food like chicken and cow. For predator like tiger and lion, the have already went extinct ever since pokemon start appearing in this world.

At that time pokemon have already taken over all the forest and land outside of human settlement. This normal animal only manages to exist because they are reared by human and they live together with human. The pokemon is not hostile with human from the start so they didn't kill them. This relief me greatly because I don't know what will happen if the only source of meat is pokemon since pokemon is humans friend, so there's no way I can eat it.

"Mom, dad I want to be on a journey to be a pokemon master."

"Are you sure, five years ago you said that you're not interested in training pokemon" (mom)

"Yes, I'm sure. I want to evolve my eevee. You know what, my friend from elementary school that become a pokemon trainer after graduation is already famous. I saw him on TV last week. So I think I can do it too."

The best entertainment in this world is pokemon battle. The Pokemon League is almost the same as the Olympic in the previous world which happen every 3 years. And the Gym Battle is shown on TV every day. My not so close friend challenge the gym last week. He lost but he did put on a great fight.

"Since you have already decided to just do it. I have save some money for you. Just use it. If it's too hard you can come back, even if we are not rich I can still afford to support you." (dad)

Hearing my father said that remind me that becoming a pokemon trainers is actually an expensive profession. Don't just belief the anime where a 10-year-old kid can just travel the world with just a backpack. We need to stock in food and tent for camping. And in town we need to pay for inn and restaurant. We also need to buy food for pokemon and we need special food to grow and strengthen them.

"No need, if you need it just call me" (dad)

People in this world will receive their first pokemon when they are 10 years old. They usually receive their first pokemon from their parent whether they catch it themselves or they buy it. There are also program that children can receive their first pokemon for free like in the game and anime but it's a little different from that. In the game and anime, the player can choose one among three choice Bulbasaur, Chamander or Squirtle and each region can have different option, but don't you think that the three pokemon is too good. If it like that everyone will choose the free pokemon who will be stupid enough to choose pokemon like Weedle, Rattata and Spearow. The whole region will be full of the three starter pokemon.

The truth is each city, town and village all have their own starter pokemon. Politely speaking, each place starter pokemon is that place specialty. Rudely speaking, each place starter pokemon is among the easiest to find nearby. For example, Pallet Town starter pokemon is Pidgey. For those who live in city which has a Gym they are luckier since their starter pokemon is the representative of their gym, even if there are easier pokemon to be found there they will still search for one suitable for their Gym type for example Veridian City have ground type Gym so the starter pokemon for them is Nidoran. Pewter City starter pokemon is Geodude and Celadon City is Oddish or Bellsprout. For town with specialty like Lavender Town that have pokemon tower their starter pokemon is Gastly.

The three starter pokemon mention in the anime is actually the gift from Professor Oak personally. Professor Oak have connection with some breeder family like my family. The breeder family will breed special pokemon and sell them through intermediary like Professor Oak. Sometime trainer that Professor Oak interested with receive free pokemon from him. There is a limit to pokemon that can be breed each year that's why the three pokemon is actually very rare.

When I'm 10, I choose my family Eevee as my first pokemon. After that I join the basic pokemon trainer camp for three months but sadly I realise that me and my eevee doesn't have talent. Becoming a trainer also need to spend a lot of money.

Talent as a trainer is very important because a trainer must give the best instruction to the pokemon during battle. Pokemon talent meant the pokemon battle sense and skill learning comprehension. Unlike the game where the pokemon automatically learn a move, the pokemon itself need to learn the move in real world.

The most important thing is money. With money you can buy special blend pokemon food made from precious material that can strengthen the pokemon body. Food made from material that suit the pokemon attribute also can help strengthen its elemental attack and help it learn skill related to the element. In other word most thing can be solve with money. If you have no talent as trainers, you can take class and learn battle tactic. If you don't have talented pokemon, just buy one that have already been proved talented. If you still want to use your pokemon, feed it with expensive food to increase its stat. even if it has no battle sense you can still won with superior stat. If it has poor comprehension it can still learn by hiring instructor. That's why I gave up to be a pokemon trainer.

The reason I choose to start becoming a pokemon trainer is because of the cheat that I receive a long with my past memories. Inside my mind there is a Game Boy Advance and a library. When I open the GBA I can play pokemon Game and the avatar move with me. I already test it by walking around pallet town and the avatar move based on my location. It also has all the option like pokedex, bag, save, load and etc. I already check the bag and found the sun stone that I choose before. I also try saving the game, get out from home and load. I'm back inside the house. Just this save and load function is already an unbelievable thing.

Another cheat I have is a library. Inside it is all the epub novel and song that I attach before. I already try reading the novel and playing the song and it works just fine. The other thing inside is all the walkthrough, this is the other reason for my confidence. With this as a guide I can find all the item in the game. It also shows all the pokemon location so that I can level up my pokemon efficiently. I realise that the concept of level does not exist in this world. The pokemon increase their strength by eating precious material and once they are strong enough the will evolve. But I can defeat wild pokemon and level up. I already test it in the forest outside the town.

The next morning after breakfast. I start my journey

"Don't forget to meet professor Oak to register as Pokemon Trainer." (dad)

Professor Oak is a famous person in the pokemon world. He is also the agent of the pokemon association. So he can register me as pokemon trainer. Usually we can register at poke centre but since Pallet Town is just a small town we don't have a poke centre. So we need to register at professor Oak Lab.

I just register normally at the lab and Professor Oak just give me word of Encouragement. Well since I'm just a Normal boy in this town and I'm already proven not talented as a trainer. He didn't put much important on me. But it's okay I'm not like some protagonist in the web novel with pride piercing the heaven. I'm not even sure if I am a protagonist.

With shounen manga like declaration I step outside Pallet Town and start my journey as Pokemon Trainer along with music I play in library cheat.
