Chapter 52 : [ COMBAT SERIES : DARK MAGIC ]

After they finished their meals, Wang Qian contacted Tie Feng and asked him to send someone to bring him to the hall they were going to gather at. The person was quickly sent over as he brought Wang Qian and Bai Lian to the said hall. When they arrived, everyone was already there waiting for him.

"Paying respects to my lord." they said in unison. Wang Qian quickly got to the front as he cleared his throat.

"I'm pretty sure Tie Feng has already told you about the curse and the reason behind it so I won't do any further explanation. Is that okay with you all?" he asked. Nobody said anything as they heard the news from Tie Feng right after Wang Qian established his link with Tie Feng.

"Great, now split into groups that consists of 100 people each and take out your orbs too." he ordered. The believers started moving according to his commands and split into 4 groups with one small one.

The following process was the same as to what happened in City of Snowing Garden and City to Memories. After curing them all, Wang Qian dispersed them as he looked at his status.

Just then, Bai Lian who was on the side made a yawn as she woke up. Wang Qian turned to her.

"Good morning, did I wake you up?" He asked. Bai Lian shook her head to reply. It was then a knock was heard on the door of their room. A person sound was then heard.

"Mr Wang Qian, have you woken up? Your breakfast is here!"

"Coming!"

Wang Qian then turned to Bai Lian again as he said.

"Let's get up now, we'll have breakfast first. We can shower later."

"Okay"

They got out of the bedroom as Bai Lian sat on the sofa while Wang Qian went to open the door for the servant. The servant quickly came in and placed their breakfast before leaving again.

The two sat on the floor together as they started digging in. Bai Lian finished hers quickly as she got up and headed to the bathroom. Wang Qian finished after her as he took the plates and brought it to the kitchen and washed it.

He then went to start his session after Bai Lian came out. After he finished, the two sat on the sofa.

"Do you have any place you want to go,Bai Lian? If not, why don't we go to the city's adventurers guild and take a quest? I need to raise my mastery of a spell."

"Okay, but can we go find some delicacies to eat after it? I want to try their foods in the city."

"No problem, let's go now."

Bai Lian then sat on Wang Qian's shoulder as they got out of the building. After asking around for directions, they managed to find the city's adventurers guild. It was the same as the one at the City of Snowing Garden, just that the color was different.

When the two entered the building, it was surprisingly quiet inside. The adventurers took the posters, got it stamped and left quickly. Wang Qian and Bai Lian minded their own business as they went to the board for C-rank adventurers.

They then a picked a poster which description of the mission was to guard a group of miners in a certain cave so that there won't be monsters that attacked them inside.

After getting it stamped, they headed to the said destination. The cave was far outside the city in a certain mountain. That mountain has a lot of herbs in and around it.

They quickly met up with the group of miners as they followed them into the cave. What was in the cave was crystals that gave off blue light.

"It's this kind of crystal again. I wonder what kind of ore is this?" Wang Qian asked.

"This is a mana stone. It can be used to make weapons that can be imbued with the user's mana. There are different quality of mana stones. The way we discern it's quality is theought the light it gives off. The brighter the light they give off, the higher the quality." The leader of the miners explained.

"I see, thanks for the information. You guys can start mining now. Be at ease, no monster will attack you guys as long as both of us are here."

"That's reassuring. It's time to work now boys." The leader said. The miners then grabbed their pickaxe as they started mining the mana stone. Things were going all well. It was until a monster appeared.

"Lo....look, there's a monster here" a miner screamed. This caused panic among the others. Wang Qian and Bai Lian quickly dashed over. What they saw was a spider that was about the size of a dining table you have at home.

"A spider eh... Let's see how strong it is." Wang Qian said as he used [ Dark Curse ] on it. The spider immediately lost 40% of it's strength. Wang Qian then applied [ Dark Curse] repeatedly until the spider has no more strength.

Seeing that it has no more strength to fight already, Wang Qian decided to just kill the spider as he used [ Magic Pressure ] on it.

The spider quickly got squashed under the intense pressure.

"You guys can go back to work now. I've killed the spider already." Wang Qian said.

"Thank God you were here, else we might have died already." One of them said

"It's what I should do. I'm getting paid after all."

It was then that the system sent him a message.
