"Upgrade me!" Ranch commanded, and then the number of gold coins started to wildly fluctuate, while the mana within him steadily increased.

[Gold coins: 3,030,000] Ten minutes later, the number of gold coins stopped changing.

The magical aura emanating from Ranch had intensified several-fold, to the point where Sophia was taken aback, her mouth agape, asking, "Ranch, the strength of your magical aura..."

Ranch, unsure of how to explain, once again deferred to divine intervention, replying, "Well... Sophia, as you know, those blessed by the gods have it like this when they practice magic, it makes sense, doesn't it?"

Sophia was half-convinced, murmuring to herself, "Does it really make sense?" 

Of course, she didn't press further, and being the smart person she was, she had already sensed the astonishing secrets Ranch harbored. 

She didn't want to annoy Ranch by prying further into matters he was reluctant to discuss.
