A Dark Reunion

The next day I came riding on my horse and everyone got up and looked at me. I looked at them and stopped my horse then looked ahead.

"Once we cross through these main gates...there is no turning back. Are you all ready for the final battle between Royals?" I asked.

"I've been ready!" Saya said.

"We shall do our best in the liberation of Arcania." Zain nodded.

"Alright. We set off then! Army, charge in!" I commanded.

The Nightmare Assembly gave a battle cry and charged forth. Zofia held on to her horse that was running into Uphelia territory. I got off my horse and walked through the main gates.

"So the real battle finally begins.." Zephyr smirked looking through the magic screen. He noticed I had an Ancient Arms and smirked even wider. "She upgraded hasn't she...?"

"Aranei and Artemis. Take down the West gate. Victoria and Kielazar you two take down the Northern gate. Kotome you come with me." I said.

Right!" They all nodded.

"What's the plan, Mama?" Kotome followed me.

"The Castle is to the north, but at the same time there is an ally we need to save. Vier of the Eternal Templars. She's being held captive in a cell. My plan is to save the remaining Eternal Templars before heading into battle with Zephyr." I said.

"Vier?" Kotome asked.

"From the knowledge of Vivi she's the number four of the Templars. She has the power to conjour lightning at her will. She will be a big help as the Templars are the only ones who can take down that dark barrier surrounding the castle." I said.

As we travelled towards the Northern Prison, Arthur stopped us and drew his weapon. He dashed to us and slashed then red lightning struck down and blocked his attack then Zain appeared. Kotome and I stopped then looked at them.

"My love.." I started.

"Keep pushing ahead..I will handle Arthur. I have a score to settle with him anyway." Zain said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes. Now go. The Templars need you now more than ever." Zain said.

I nodded then took Kotome's hand and ran towards the Northern gate. Zain stood up and tossed aside his scarf revealing multiple cursed seals around his neck. Arthur glared and his red aura surged and flames surrounded his sword. Zain growled then bellowed and veins grew on his arms and his seals glowed and emitted a red aura. Red lightning surged around his body then he stopped bellowing and his eyes turned demonic and he looked at Arthur.

"One of the Supreme Ten...Umbra Savior...the route you've taken has probably disappointed the Emperor in more ways than one." Arthur said.

"The Emperor could drown himself in an ocean full of sharks for all I care..he hasn't done a thing to help Arcania in the slightest.." Zain said.

"You were once so loyal..what happened to you..? We were a duo." Arthur started to walk.

"Our bond was severed the moment you agreed to destroy Maanga...the moment you agreed to kill countless of innocent people..." Zain said and walked also.

"This isn't about your personal feelings Zain. We have orders to carry." Arthur said.

"I think you meant to say you love being a puppet..a pawn..you love being nothing but a mere tool for war. You see the moment I caught on to y'all's schemes...I just knew I had to rebel. I was planning on taking my brother with me...but he was so far gone as a puppet there was no other choice. Lunia by far has the most level headed Royal in all existence of Arcania. She might have a killing addiction, but you all drove her into that addiction. You all drove her to the point of mass depression and anger. Now she's changing and no one seems to accept that." Zain said.

"She's only putting on an act..she hasn't changed a bit...Zephyr will end up killing her instantly. It doesn't matter how far you've come..Stella will die." Arthur stopped. "She will join her pathetic family!"

"Don't you dare disrespect her bloodline." Zain stopped and glared.

"Enough talking Zain...Say your final prayers!" Arthur said then dashed towards Zain.

Zain summoned Phantom Excalibur and clashed with Arthur. Arthur grunted and slid back. Zain's heart thumped and dark red aura surged from his eyes. He dashed towards Arthur and slashed and Arthur parried his attack and his sword cracked a bit. They clashed constantly then vanished and appeared clashing. Zain parried Arthur's attack and blew him away then dashed after him. Miyuna and Saya dodged Arthur's body and looked at Zain. Zain yelled and red lightning surged wildly from his body. He slowly started to cave into his Phantom Mode. Julia looked at Zain and closed her eyes and shook her head.

"He's too far gone into his own anger...The only one who can save him is Stella.." Julia said.

Zain clashed with Arthur again and Arthur's sword cracked more. Arthur parried his next attack and pushed Zain away and Zain stumbled backwards. Cursed seals appeared on Zain's cheek and the sclera of his left eye slowly turned black and he panted. Zain grabbed his head and yelled then red lightning surged to the sky. Kanon looked at Zain and looked worried. Lina looked back as well and looked scared. A black horn slowly grew from the left side of Zain's head. He opened his eyes and red lightning surged from his eyes. Arthur got in a stance and ready to take on Zain's Demon Form.

"Zain.." Miyuna looked at him.

Zain opened his hand and a fireball grew bigger in his hand. Arthur got ready for Zain's Magic Attack.

"Shining Hellfire!" Zain threw the fireball and dashed after him.

"Too obvious!" Arthur slashed and cut the fireball in two then his sword broke.

Zain dashed straight to Arthur and jumped and threw his sword. Arthur managed to dodge the sword and Zain's Phantom Excalibur turned from red to pure black and it emitted black aura. Zain landed and grabbed the sword and looked at Arthur.

"I hope you have a nice Reunion with your pathetic bloodline." Zain said, ready to kill Arthur.

"I can still fight! I'll destroy you in this battle! You will lie dead at my feet fool!" Arthur bellowed.

"Master Skill..." Zain got in a stance. "Noir Nova!"

Zain dashed to Arthur and Arthur went for a hilt parry then Zain palmed his arm out the way and bellowed. He stabbed Arthur through his chest and vanished. The sword shined white then exploded, making a black vortex and the vortex closed and Zain appeared on top of the gate, wearing his scarf.

Arthur's faction of the Holy Order dropped their weapons. Zain turned normal and jumped down then fell on one knee. Kanon and Lina ran towards him. This was the first anyone has seen Zain's true power. He has a more controlled Berserker Mode than I do. Zain rested for a bit then got up to hop back into the battles.

I made my way to the cell and saw Vier sitting in the cell and looked back seeing Lisseth. I looked at her and Kotome stepped up.

"Take Vier and leave. I'll buy you two some time." Kotome said.

"Stay safe okay? Come back to me alive." I said.

"You know I will Mama." Kotome smiled.

I smiled and released Vier and we retreated the area. Kotome and Lisseth stared each other down and glared. Only six Templars left to be freed from their hell.
