"For Marline, I want to create a sword that showcases her mastery of techniques. She's not a frontline fighter like her daughter, so I'll make her a Chinese sword—double-edged, well-balanced, and lightweight.
I began by crafting the mold with copper, and then I started working on the blade. I chose Celestial Silver, a robust royal metal that's easy to channel qi through. As for the hilt, I fashioned it with white jade, known for its elegance and regal quality. Weight isn't a concern since she's royalty.
It took me two hours of dedicated work to shape this sword, and upon comparison with others, it's undoubtedly a treasure.
For Clara, I created an arming sword with a double-edged blade and a wooden hilt with a pommel. I began by crafting the blade, using shadow steel, one of the sharpest and sturdiest metals—perfect for a frontline fighter like Clara. The hilt was made from exquisite ebony wood, high quality although not as artistic as white jade, but still quite beautiful. I engraved my logo, an Indigo Tiger, onto the hilt.
For the scabbards, I fashioned one from 'obsidian wood' and the other from 'alabaster wood,' respectively.
With the two swords complete, I was now ready to create my own.
"Reve, please provide me with a beautiful, rare, and robust gold metal," I requested.
"Well, 'Orichalcite metal' is the perfect choice then," she remarked.
"Perfect. Please give me enough for a 36-inch blade," I requested.
It cost me 34 million, but when I saw the metal, it was worth every penny.
I obtained Ebonium wood to complement the bright golden metal; its grain pattern would add elegance, it cost me 25 million.
"You didn't tell me why you wanted to craft a sword," Reve reminded me.
"Well, it's a 'Nimsha sword.' It's a historical Moroccan sword, and I want it to be more of a collector's item, a family treasure," I explained.
"I see. I'll wait to see what it's like. Good luck."
I was trembling with excitement. The Nimsha sword is genuinely beautiful, more like a decorative piece than a fighting sword, but it should not be underestimated. They used it for combat as well.
I began by melting the Orichalcite metal, then I started shaping the blade. A Nimcha sword has a slightly curved, single-edged design with a length ranging from 24 to 36 inches. I made it 36 inches, and the golden color of the blade gave me a warm feeling. I had a tough time molding it as the metal was hard and heavy.
After letting the blade rest, I moved on to crafting the hilt, using Ebonium wood. The scent it emitted as I cut it was intoxicating.
I had my fun, and I crafted the scabbard with the same wood, creating a smooth and elegant appearance with its grain pattern.
Before finishing, I purchased 'obsidian ink,' which cost me 40 million, leaving me with only 1 million. I had no regrets; this ink was truly magical. It would never fade, and whatever you wrote with it became a fact. What set it apart was the chilling aura it carried.
I had to be extra careful with this one, so I spent six hours training my handwriting and thinking of what to write. Finally, I had the perfect idea.
Using the brush that came with the ink, I wrote on the blade, "Crafted only by the free, this sword shall never bend to another's will." The blade immediately absorbed the ink, making the words etched with a dark pattern. The entire blade exuded a chilling aura.
I smiled, satisfied with my creation. Then, I engraved my logo—an indigo tiger—on the hilt, small and hardly visible, but if you looked closely, you could see it.
I assembled the sword's components. The Nimsha sword exuded elegance and sophistication. Its blade, hilt, and scabbard came together to create a visually striking and fantastic weapon.
The moment you drew the sword, a chilling aura emerged, conveying a sense of danger and freedom.
"I have to say, it's a beautiful piece of art, but remember, a sword is for fighting. Don't put it away. The more it absorbs blood, the stronger it becomes," Reve advised.
I nodded, "I wasn't planning on keeping it hidden away. When I'm not wearing my mask, I'll use it," I explained.
I placed the ink bottle and brush back in the box they came in; the ink was still full, so I knew I would use it more later. After packing the three swords, I called for a taxi.
It was late at night when I arrived at the hotel. They didn't inspect me for weapons, as carrying one was the norm in this world. Margaret always kept a mace next to her, Clara probably didn't have a weapon due to her injury when we first met, but Marline was carrying a sword.
I gave Marline a call, informing her to come pick up the pill and the weapon. I wanted to check on Margaret, but I found a message saying she would consume the pill I gave her and prepare for a breakthrough. Sofia had also taken the AuraCleanse pill and had suddenly become more dedicated to her training.
Feeling tired, I took a warm bath and fell asleep.
Morning, June 1, 2012.
I put on a T-shirt and white shorts; summer had arrived.
*Knock, knock, knock.*
I opened the door for Marline and Clara. After some small talk, I handed over the pill.
"Wow, the aura is intimidating," Clara commented.
"Yeah, it's a potent pill. I recommend you consume it when you're at least at your peak, and it takes 3 to 4 days to digest," I advised.
Marline nodded. "Thank you, Noah. I really appreciate your help."
"It's a business, Madam," I shook my head.
"Wow, are those the swords you made?" Clara suddenly exclaimed.
I smiled, "The dark one is yours; it's called the 'Noble Defender Blade.' It's strong and I think it suits you," I explained.
Her eyes welled with tears, and she ran and gave me a big hug, though this time it didn't feel as pleasant. It was like being hugged by a bear suddenly.
"Cough... cough, is that how you thank me?" I joked.
She panicked and put me down, "I'm sorry... I... I..."
"It's fine, hahahaha. This will help my ego. Always know there's someone stronger than you," I teased.
I picked up the white sword. "This one is for you, Madam Marline; it's called the 'Jade Serpent Blade.' It suits your lifestyle more, elegant and beautiful yet sharp and balanced. I believe you're someone who focuses more on technique than raw power, so this one here will showcase your style," I praised my own creations.
She smiled and took the sword to examine it. She swung it a few times, too fast for me to see, and kept admiring the jade.
"I chose white jade for the hilt because it gives a clean and elegant design," I explained.
"Noah, you're incredibly talented, you know that, right?" She finally commented.
