Chp 78 : The book

[Tex : W-well... even though I hate to admit it, I am a flawed system. As I am only provided with basic information, like basic history on this world and other basic stuff like that. But when you ask me indebt or personal things about this world that aren't included in the original novel, I make predicted guesses based off the basic data, it's accurate enough!]

[Huhu I see...] Siun said as he rubbed his hands together [So what YOUR saying is that you have been giving me FALSE information and that with this new skill you will be even less useless than trash!]

Siun yelled out in his mind, Tex was left in a state of panic as he frantically tried to prove that he was still worth something

[Geez, calm down. I was joking!] He let out a satisfied sigh [You know, the two of us really only have each other to rely on]

[Tex : No] Tex said as he slowly hovered down and lied on the fluffy blanket in the signature cat loaf position. [Tex : I have the father, the system headquarters, and you have your new family here now]

[You mean Silas and Elena? What about them?]

[Tex : They're your family now!]

[...hehe I guess that's true!] Siun said rolling around in his bed [I always wanted to know what it felt like having one in the real world!]

[Tex : Anyways, to activate Uriel's Library all you have to close your eyes and concentrate]

Siun did just that and then suddenly found in his body surrounded by an infinite number of towering bookshelves 

[Woooow!] He said as he ran around the space [It's so big!]

[Tex : It's no big huhuhu... It's infinite! You can keep running and running but all you will be able to see are just more bookshelves!] The cat said proudly as it teleported from one shelf to another with every word

[So how do I use this skill?... do I throw books at my enemies??] Siun said picking up the heaviest book he could find that he was able to left with his 4 year old arms

[Tex : uhh... sorry to break it to you, but this skill is non-combat!]

[WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THEN TEX?] Siun said as he tried to wrap his hands around the cat's neck [IM FUCKING USELSS, THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY BIG BREAK]

[Tex : I dont understand what your so mad about!] The cat said as all of Siun's attack just went straight through his body like a hologram

[W-...YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND? I'M SUPPOSED TO HELP KILL THE DEMON LORD! HOW AM I GOING TO DO THAT WITH THIS STUPID LIBRARY?]

[Tex : *sigh...* calm down] Tex said as he summoned a big squeaky hammer atop of Siun's head to whack him

[Ow!] Siun said as he calmed down

[Tex : Are you blind? Or are you illiterate? the quest only says you have to HELP the hero kill the demon lord]

[How am I supposed to help weaken the demon lord without any combat abilities?!]

[Tex : Why are you so closed minded!] the cat said with crossed arms and furrowed brows [You have a library with ALL the infinite knowledge in the world, think of all the possibilities!]

Siun nodded begrudgingly as he scratched his chin trying to think of the 'infinite' possibilities Tex was talking about... minutes passed by

[I got nothing!] Siun's admission was followed by another blow to his head by the squeaky hammer

[Tex : Here's a suggestion, read up some books about renowned blacksmiths and make incredible weapons for the hero! study strategies and tactics! Discover information about the demon lord himself!]

[Uwahhh! That actually pretty good...]

[Tex : Of course it is! My host must be gifted to deserve having me as a system!]

Siun grabbed onto the handle of the squeaky hammer and bashed Tex across the room

[Tex : Hah! nice try!] Tex said as he simply just teleported back unharmed

[Tex : So what do you want to read first!] Tex said with enthusiasm [All you have to do is tell me and I can teleport you to the book as it would be near impossible to find by foot!]

[Let's read about that troublesome Mikhail Curran, find out why you got that stupid error!]

[Tex : Hehe good idea!] Tex said as he waved his tail in a circular motion, summoning a portal [Oh but just before you step through, I just want to tell you that you can only read one book a day!]

[That's alright, I dont really like reading anyways!] Siun said as he walked through the portal with awe

[Tex : Now where is Mikhail Curran's book? The portal has brought us close to it's location]

[Hey what that?] Siun said as he yanked Tex's tail

[Tex : ...hey dont do that] The cat said as he looked into the direction Siun was faced towards [Eh? what's that]

In that direction the floor was covered in distorted black tar, leading towards a tattered book that did not seem to belong in this world atop of a white pedestal

[I want to read that book] Siun said, feeling his body being drawn to it

[Tex :... That's probably Mikhail's book anyways, as he was the main character of the original story, his life experiences were the most important]

Siun was slowed down by the black tar that stuck to the bottom of his feet, he was also walking extra slowly as to not dirty his nightshirt

Up close the book looked even more out of place and otherworldly as some parts of it seemed to be engulfed by space as it looked like there was void in it

[Is this really a book for the hero? It seems more like the book for the demon lord] 

[Tex : It is, look at the title! 'Mikhail Curran', The demon lord's name is Niran]

[Hmm I see, Let's read his book tomorrow then] Siun said as he reached out to open Mikhail Currans book
