"Ella..." Evelyn Sherman, following his gaze, seemed startled as well.
She stood up from the sofa, walked towards the door, and reached out to grab Ella Jackson's hand.
"When did you get here? Why did you stand at the door without saying a word?"
"I just arrived, saw you inside, and was planning to sneak in to give you a scare, but you guys discovered me. What's wrong? Your faces look so terrible."
Ella looked suspiciously at the worried Collins Aiden and Evelyn.
"You two didn't happen to be talking behind my back, did you? When you saw me, you felt guilty, right?"
Evelyn Sherman: "..."!!
Collins Aiden: "..."!!
"I was indeed talking about you, Ella. Collins, he..." Evelyn regained his senses, dragging her to sit on the sofa.
"Mr. Sherman!" Collins suddenly spoke in a deep voice, cutting off Evelyn's words, his cold gaze filled with an icy tone.
His hand at his side silently clenched into a fist.
An unprecedented sense of panic surged in his heart.
