An Unexpected Snooze

Inside the military headquarters, Officer Lyao found himself cornered by the conference room door.

"Lyao, you can't just stand there and do nothing!" Commander Martin blocked Officer Lyao's path, his intense gaze pinned on him. "After all we've been through, you're just going to stand there and let my Sea of Consciousness collapse?"

"I don't know anything, so I can't help you," replied Officer Lyao, unmoved.

"No, you do know. Nobody knows better than you. Ever since the Second Commander entered the secret chamber and came out, you're the only one who has been to his recovery center and seen him. Plus, what about that time on the spaceship? Thousands of soldiers' Sea of Consciousness were unexpectedly sorted out, and it was all your doing." Martin clenched his jaw in certainty.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Officer Lyao's face remained expressionless.
