Cooperation Agreement

"I'm not afraid of being laughed at, Director Wan. During the customer profiling, I noticed your profile picture was a painting by N. from a long time ago so I took note of it," Ning Zhi said.

"And what do you want from me?" Wan Feng carefully observed the girl in front of him. She was very beautiful, and fit the popular descriptive term of decorative vases.

However, he had never revealed to anybody that he liked — or rather his daughter —liked N.'s paintings. At most, he had asked his secretary to pay close attention to N.'s artwork. Unfortunately, he hadn't acquired any of her paintings, and now there was a huge gap between him and his daughter.

"Keep the painting. From the beginning, I've told you what I need. Five minutes of your time." Ning Zhi's expression showed determination. Sha Lan was impressed and couldn't help but admire Ning Zhi's courage and attention to detail.

"Alright, I want to see how you can convince me. Keep in mind that due to your mistakes, our company almost suffered a loss of 200 million yuan," Wan Feng responded.

Ning Zhi took a deep breath and began reciting the well-rehearsed script that she practiced hundreds of times. At first, Wan Feng did not take it seriously, but to his surprise, she delivered her speech with confidence and precision.

Unbeknownst to him, Wan Feng was drawn into her presentation. By the time she was done, he couldn't believe that such an innovative and promising proposal had come from a mere assistant.

"Good, good, good." Wan Feng applauded. "I never expected such a creative proposal from Special Assistant Ning. Moreover, according to your ideas, this plan can assist our subsidiary company to enter public listing. Impressive!"

"Director Wan, you flatter me." Ning Zhi presented the contract. "Then shall we sign the agreement?"

"Hope you didn't get the zero wrong this time," Wan Feng teased as he reached for the fountain pen to sign. Suddenly, he paused as if something had occurred to him. "Special Assistant Ning, what you said was all good, but what if it fails?"

"Don't worry, Director Wan. CEO Li has made it clear that if we fail, he will sell 5% of the Li Corporation's shares at 40% of the price, so please rest assured." Ning Zhi had already thought of a countermeasure.

"Alright, it seems that CEO Li has also invested a lot this time." Wan Feng sensed the sincerity of the Li Corporation. Most importantly, he felt Ning Zhi's sincerity. "I'll give you a chance!"

Wan Feng signed the contract enthusiastically and looked at Ning Zhi with admiration.

The airport announcement sounded, reminding them that it was time to board the plane. Wan Feng and his bodyguards stood up, preparing to leave.

Wan Feng gestured for his bodyguard to take out a business card and handed it to Ning Zhi.

"Special Assistant Ning, if you ever want to change jobs, you can contact me anytime. I have a position that would suit you very well."

"Thank you, Director Wan. I will consider it." Ning Zhi replied with a smile, accepting his card. She watched as Wan Feng left the VIP lounge. Once he completely disappeared, she heaved a sigh of relief.

Sha Lan was dumbfounded. She couldn't believe that in just one morning, Ning Zhi had achieved more than her entire team had in half a year.

"You! How did you suddenly become so capable?" Sha Lan was in disbelief. The current Ning Zhi had completely overturned her previous perception. After all, the old Ning Zhi was like an AI robot — capable of only following a few commands. The current Ning Zhi was like a living, breathing person.

"But that promise from CEO Li…" Sha Lan had never heard Li Yan make such a promise before.

"Well, I lied to him. Either way, it's just a promise. Like pancakes, whether I eat one or two pieces, it doesn't make a difference. Let's go. It's time to go back." Ning Zhi immediately turned around and left. "There's still a mole waiting for me to catch."

Sha Lan didn't want to admit that there was a mole in the sales department, but looking at Ning Zhi's determination, she knew that Ning Zhi wouldn't rest until the truth was uncovered.

"Do you have a direction?" Sha Lan tried to inquire if there were any clues.

"You'll know when we get there." Ning Zhi smiled.

On the other side, Li Yan and Lu Ping drank a lot.

"What if Ning Zhi insists on leaving?" After a few rounds of drinks, Lu Ping discovered that the main reason Li Yan drank this time of the day was because of Special Assistant Ning.

In the beginning, he thought that Ning Zhi would be like the previous substitutes. Even if replaced, Li Yan would not have much of a reaction. But now, it seemed that Li Yan was the one getting trapped.

"She dares!" Li Yan's tone was firm as if this would never happen.

"Old Li, you…" After a moment of silence, Lu Ping finally said it aloud. "Do you still think about Sister Su Heng? Or are you in love with Ning Zhi?"

Li Yan slammed his glass to the ground. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
