Who are you?

Over in court, the young lady who worked for Leonel told everything to the crowd and Magistrate about Mr. James

"And that's why I'm very certain he kidnapped his grandson because I know he's capable of doing worse"

Mr. James was in a severe panic all through as this woman kept telling secrets about him. Added upon what his daughter said before her.

"This is not true! She has been set up against me!" he tried to protest

"Silence" the Judge announced

"Now you see your magistrate, that my client is incapable of taking away his son. Bringing us back to the reason why he decided to seek justice for his kid and take him away from such a man called her Father"

"I rest my case" he added and went to his seat.

Mr. Jame's Lawyer stood up and ejected

"My client, the accuse has nothing to do with his grandson's kidnapping. Mr. Jake is just trying to cover up the fact that he was caught right-handed. He has no solid proof that my client set him up. All he seems to do is the point at those things we aren't so certain my client did."

"Objection my Lord! The withness has given out so many reasons we shouldn't believe Mr. James accuses against my client. How then can we explain Mr. James knowing exactly where his grandson is if he didn't set my client up?"

"You have no proof that he set your client up."

"Order!" The judge warned

"You can go on" he gestured to Jake's lawyer

"Thank you, your magistrate. Yes, they found his child in his house. However, Mr. James here must have certainly known about his son's whereabout for him to be so sure that my client had him. To start with, the police he brought along were not supposed to get into my client's house without his permission. They had no right to because it's against the law. The fact that my client wasn't at home at the moment, proves that Mr. James bribed these police officers to act at his order. Taking into consideration the words of the mother of his child. The same woman who fought for her son and hated his dad has stood here and made us aware of how evil her dad is. We heard everything. Nothing after those words can hold back my client's innocence. I rest my case"

Mr. James ruffles his hair frustratedly. He whispers something to his lawyer.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" His lawyer responds

"I paid you to do your job and not to get insides about my life"

"I'm sorry but there's no way I can help you if you keep hiding important notes from me. We're down. If Mr. Leonel finds himself here, you'd be locked up"

Mr. James robes his chin as the lawyer goes on speaking.

After the case, Katty checked on her phone and saw a miss call from Fred.

She hurriedly called back and he responded

"Hey babe"

"Yeah, what happened?"

"Did you say your friend was kidnapped or something else?"

She frowned and went somewhere silent "She was kidnapped. That's what I was told by a friend"

"And how did that friend know about it?"

She sighed "What exactly are you trying to say? Can you please come to clear? You're making me nervous"

"Your friend was caught right-handed in murder. She shot a man and another was hit on the head by her"

Katty blinked her eyes and found herself searching for words "W-what are you talking about?"

"What I am saying is...your friend has been arrested. And the men she harmed are hospitalized"

"Brithney can never do that. She must've tried to save herself in the process and ended up hurting them. I'd be right there. Just text me the location"

"Sure"

She ended the call and Ciara was right next to her.

"You didn't tell me what Donald said"

It was then she recalled she didn't call him. Immediately she dials his number and calls. It doesn't ring nor heads to the answering machine.

"His number is not going through-"

She said and froze at the thought of what her fiance mentioned.

She doesn't know who those men are. But she has a feeling Donald is harmed.

"Katty you're not saying anything"

She regains her existence and looks at Ciara "Brithney was kidnapped. But now I was called by Fred saying she was arrested."

"How did that happen? What did she do?"

"He said she shot a man and another was hit on the head"

They gave each other an unbelievable look.

...

"Brithney. Please talk to us" Ciara pleaded

"I didn't do it. I did not kill anyone" she let out

"We know. You would never do such a thing. However, you need to explain to us. We need to know exactly what happened"

She looked at her hands as flashbacks of the incident tormented her mind.

"I don't know. All I can remember was seeing myself in a taxi. And later on, found myself in an empty room with Romaine steady over the floor. And Donald by his side in a pool of blood. I picked up a gun by my side in anxiety... And-the police came in"

"Donald?!" Katty exclaimed and she nodded her head.

Ciara looked at her and she did the same.

Romaine's mom was told about her son's condition. So she rushed and came over to see him.

While Donald was treated perfectly well. Katty saw the photos he sent to her. So she went altogether with Ciara to see him.

They talked and he mentioned who tried to kill him. Mr. Leonel of course.

"Damn it!" Katty exclaimed

"What's important is you're alive" Ciara added

He shakes his head "It means nothing being alive and seeing your enemy free. I'd make sure he pays"

"You know you cannot leave this place right?" Ciara questioned

He gave them a little frown

"What do you expect me to do? Sit here and do nothing?"

"Exactly! You gonna lay here comfortably like a baby while he round the job" Katty replied

He looked at them with crumbled brows

"She's right. If not you will be a dead man. If he finds out you are alive" Ciara said

He chuckled "But he's going to find out anyway"

They stared at him seriously and he gave them a bewildered expression.

Before leaving they told the doctor to announce him dead. And that no one should come into the room.

They went to visit Romaine and met with Romaine's family. They introduced themselves and told him everything that happened. He was so angry.

"Tell her we're going to get her out of there." His mom told Katty and Ciara and they nodded in response

"He crossed the line. He shouldn't have gone there. I'm gonna kill him" he talked in gritted teeth.

"Son, do not overthink. It's not conducive for your state" his mom calmly said robing his arm.

"I want both of you to do me a favor"

They looked at him slightly confused and nodded slowly

He propelled his hand towards the side table with a jar of red flowers and picked a pen and a piece of paper and jotted down something.

Once he was through he handed it to them.

"Make sure you meet this man following the address on the sheet. He's Leonel's late dad's doctor. Hand him the note and let me know at once what next to do. If he tries to shove it off, tell him they'd be coming for him"

Ciara hanged her mouth open and Katty froze. He looked at them in the same manner completely unaware he has just exposed his identity.

"Who are you?" Katty questioned first followed by Ciara

"And how did you know Mr. Leonel's dad is dead and had a personal doctor?"

He blinked his eyes and gave his mom a side look. She faintly smiled back and rested her eyes on the girls.

"I'm sorry both of you had to know it now. But my son here has been working for Mr. Leonel's late dad for a couple of years through my husband. They were good friends before passed away"

The was silence before katty spoke, "Means you lied to her all these while?"

He looked down then raised his head "Yeah, I did."

Ciara looked at Katty and found her already watching. In unison, they stared at Romaine and his mom.
