Misunderstandings

Because Tao Keke was not far from Tie Zhu when he answered the phone she could faintly make out the sound of a woman speaking of the phone in a somewhat familiar tone. Although she was not able to completely make out the words that the woman had spoken she still managed to hear that the person was looking for Tie Zhu, causing her to frown while she slowly edged herself closer to the phone.

"Yes it's me, is there anything wrong?" Tie Zhu asked Bing Meifeng. Since he was so occupied with his cultivation he had almost forgotten that he had given her his phone number and was not expecting her to call so soon.

"No, nothing's wrong. My mom just wants to know if you can come over tonight to make dinner. She also said she wants to talk to you about something else." Bing Meifeng replied.

Since Tao Keke had gradually moved closer to the phone she could make out more of the conversation. 'What, this woman is inviting Tie Zhu over for dinner to meet her mom!?' she thought to herself as she misheard the words that Bing Meifeng had spoken.

'Wait, that woman sounds a bit like Bing Meifeng! No wonder it sounds so familiar. How did she get his number, were all the rumors actually true?!' She suddenly realized as thoughts raced through her mind as she felt a unconformable sour feeling in her heart.

"I might not be able to make it over tonight, sorry, maybe another time will be better." Tie Zhu replied after seeing that Tao Keke cast him a frowning glance.

"Alright, how about tomorrow morning for breakfast?" Bing Meifeng replied.

"Yeah, I think that will work out then i'll s... i'll see you then." Tie Zhu answered back. The reason that he had paused in the middle of his sentence was that Tao Keke had suddenly poked him on the side of his waist.

"Hey, what do you have under your shirt?" Tao Keke could not help but exclaim. She had actually tried pinching his waist in jealousy, however found that it was as hard as a rock. She also remembered when she had punched his chest earlier it was also extremely hard so her immediate thought now was that he must have been wearing something underneath.

As her curiosity got the better of her she suddenly lifted Tie Zhu's shirt. Her eyes immediately widened in surprise as there was actually nothing underneath his shirt apart from his perfectly toned body. Seeing such a perfect figure, she was not sure how to feel about it. Although she could not deny that it had attracted her, it made her feel somewhat inferior especially when she compared herself with Bing Meifeng. Furthermore, she liked Tie Zhu for his personality, rather than his personal appearance.

"Okay hmph!" Bing Meifeng finally replied before hanging up the phone. The reason why she had angrily hung up the phone was because she had heard the sound of a woman speaking in the background. 'So that's why he is busy right now! Some woman is over there right now and taking his shirt off. Hmph, all men are the same!' She angrily thought to herself as she felt an uncomfortable feeling in her heart. 'Why do I even care so much? Its not like I like him or anything!' She kept telling herself as she punched a pillow next to her.

"Beep... Beep... Beep"

'Huh, she hanged up that fast?' Tie Zhu thought as he looked at the phone in confusion. Little did he know, because of the misunderstanding he had angered and hurt the feelings of two beauties.

*Sniff*

"Hey, hey whats wrong?" Tie Zhu suddenly asked in concern after seeing that tears had actually started rolling down Tao Keke's eyes.

"You're going to leave me aren't you?" *Sniff* Tao Keke whimpered.

"Of course not! What makes you think that?" Tie Zhu asked as he was taken aback at her response.

"Because you have Bing Meifeng now! I'm not as pretty as her or as smart as her. Also her family is so wealthy you wouldn't ever have to worry about money. She's perfect." *Sniff*

When Tie Zhu heard Tao Keke's concern he immediately understood that she had misunderstood the phone call. Although what she said about "having" Bing Meifeng was not completely false, Bing Meifeng had only called regarding being her cook not her boyfriend.

"No, no, you misunderstood. She was calling me because she hired me as her chef. Never in my life would I ever willing leave you. I've known you for as long as I can remember and no one in the world could ever replace you. To me you are perfect." Tie Zhu said sincerely as he tightly embrased her in his arms.

"Really? Do you really mean it?" Tao Keke asked softly, enjoying the warmth of Tie Zhu warm words and embrace.

"Of course I do. If it weren't for you I don't know what I would have done with myself. I would rather be poor forever and have you than be rich and lose you forever." he said before giving her a light kiss on her forehead causing a smile to finally bloom on her flushed cheeks.

"... Then... Then are you still going over to her place in the morning?"

"I've already said that I would go. You know that I can't turn back on my word now." Tie Zhu replied.

"Then can you take me too? I have to test out your cooking skills for myself too." she asked.

"Uhh.. I'm not sure if they would agree on me bringing a stranger to their place." Tie Zhu said.

"What stranger? I've spoken to Bing Meifeng before and we are on good terms with each other." Tao Keke replied as she wanted to see for herself the relationship between Tie Zhu and Bing Meifeng.

"Okay... I guess it should be fine then.." Tie Zhu said reluctantly. 'What's the worse that could go wrong?' He thought.
