A Movie About The City

[Before the city turned into a cursed ruin. It was a beautiful and prosperous city. ]

The movie begins with a text. The five of them watched with confused expressions, not knowing what to expect.

"What if suddenly a zombie attacks when our attention is diverted to the screen?" Elaine asked. Her eyes stared around non-stop.

That possibility certainly exists. But Barry believes that they should still watch the film because it seems like there is something the movei want to explain.

Barry sighed. "Just stay alert."

Elaine nodded briefly. The others who heard that also kept their eyes on the screen and their surroundings.

The text disappears, the screen goes black for a few moments, then the movie starts.

A normal city view is visible. People carry out their activities naturally without anything strange.

A moment later the screen changed to show the figure of a woman in her early 40s.

[ "Yes that's correct. I have found a medicine that can cure cancer without the need for surgery," ] the woman said.

In the bottom left corner of the screen, there is text showing her name and occupation.

Barry frowned slightly because he didn't know what Genticist was. But he supposed that it must be something related to genes.

'I know that white light being did all this. I wonder why it showing this for us to see. This looks like the history of this city.'

The on-screen interview continues.

[ "So how much healing have you achieved with this medicine?" ] the interviewer asked from behind the camera.

Dr. Evelyn Stirling smiled. His smile seemed to reveal a satisfied expression.

Barry and the others immediately showed almost the same reaction. They gasped with expressions of disbelief.

"Yeah. If only that medicine existed when my father was still alive," Barry said. His tone and face are even.

The screen changes again. This time it shows again how the city is as active as before.

And then, it happens.

The citizens began to change one by one. Their eyes turned red and blood came out from every orifice in their bodies non-stop.

After that, they start attacking and eating any other person next to them.

The previously prosperous and prosperous city turned into a sea of ​​gore and chaos. The five survivors could only stare in horror at everything that happened.

Even though they already know what happened to this city is the same as what happened to their city, they will never get used to seeing how the process happened.

In a matter of hours, the city has turned into a scene from hell. As they see now.

The scene changes again to show Dr. Evelyn Stirling. In front of her now a young girl was lying with her throat slit.

Next to her, sat another man who looked to be in middle age.

Dr. Evelyn Stirling begins her chant. The middle-aged man beside her also started the same chant.

About a minute later the corpse of the dead girl jumped up and stood in front of the two of them. Shocking both of them.

The dead girl – now standing in front of them – smirking. Her eyes look enveloped in a dark purple glow. It's definitely not the same girl who died or was killed by them.

[ "What do you want?" ]

["Please, I want you to return everyone in this city back to humans,"] Dr. Evelyn Stirling said in a pleading tone. Tears ran down her face.

[ "I will cure this city of your undead disease if you hand over the soul of this city to me." ] said the girl whose throat was slit.

The major looked unsure. But driven by despair, he said. [ "Y-yes! I will give the soul of this city to you." ]

Neither the major nor the doctor really understood what the girl – or rather the being inside the girl – was saying. But they still agreed to it.

[ "Very well." ]

The being immediately acts. Suddenly, a dark cloud swirled over the city. A dark purple vortex in the center of the cloud swirl emitted black tentacles that extended downwards.

There were countless tentacles and all of them directly touched the bodies of the citizens who turned into zombies.

But they don't turn into humans. That being said it will cure the disease that Dr. Evelyn Stirling caused. But it will only impart its own influence to them.

The influence that makes the citizens of this city, and everything inside it. Changing them into something much worse.

In the end, the same curse also befell Dr. Evelyn Stirling and the Majors. The being unites them into one creature from the deepest nightmare who lives in the city center, specifically in the city hall.

The film then ends with a quite dark ending. The evil being managed to take over this city and trapped them all in its curse.

The five survivors stared at the screen which had turned dark. Silence occurred inside the theater.

Barry took a deep breath and exhaled. Next, he said. "Alright. Now we know where we can find the Heart of Desolation that we must kill."

His thoughts were only focused on that for now even though he had many things on his mind. He's sure his group members are thinking the same question.

Who is the entity wielding such formidable power, capable of subjugating an entire city under its control?

Barry turned to the others. Hoping that after seeing all the horror on the screen they will still have the enthusiasm to continue fighting.

"W-We have to kill that thing in the city hall, right?" said Anna in a trembling voice.

"Yes," Barry said.

"How do we do that?"

Barry sighed. "Honestly, I don't know. But it looks like we still have enough time to figure that out. Maybe... We can find clues around the city."

"That thing doesn't seem to be leaving the city hall either," Elaine uttered.

"Well, hopefully not," Danny said.

After finishing watching that "movie" they moved away from that theater. As soon as they came out, another text appeared in their vision.

Barry wondered what would greet them there. But it doesn't look good.
