Chapter 31

Damian's POV 

"Yes Mr. Garcia, you may continue" I nodded. 

"I think, the one behind this is Angela." I said. 

"Who is Angela? And how is she related to all this?" 

"Angela is my cousin, she doesn't like Ethan so I'm afraid she may have done this to hurt him" 

"And why doesn't she like Ethan? Did they have a fight?" 

"Because she has some unhealthy obsession with me but since I am dating Ethan. She is hell bent on making me hers. 

But I won't allow this. Hence she made a plan to harm Ethan but that failed and I caught her. So I think she is the one behind all this!" 

I felt my blood starting to boil. How dare she! After all she has done till now, she isn't satisfied! 

I don't understand why is she still doing this. I swear if she is found guilty I wouldn't spare her this time. 

"Okay Mr Garcia, I will start investigating soon" 

"Do your best officer, I don't want her to escape with this. I'll send the rest of the details later." 

They nodded and soon took their leave. 

I went back to the waiting area and found Emma and Ethan sitting next to each other. 

I don't know what to think of this, sometimes I feel like she would again to something mean towards him. 

But then again they are going through a tough situation, they need each other. 

I sighed, and went towards them. "Damian!" called Ethan, "where were you?" He asked. 

I couldn't tell him about Angela he is already so worried, I don't want to give him more stress.

I just shook my head "Nothing, just discussing some things with the cops" I said. 

He nodded, We have been here since morning, he must be tired. Though I doubt he want to go anywhere since Mrs. Taylor is here. 

"Let's go home okay Baby?" I asked but he shook his head. 

I sighed, "Baby you need to rest too-" but he interrupted me "I-....I can't go anywhere leaving Mom alone" 

"No Ethan, you should go, he is right. I'm here with Mom" said Emma. 

But I shook my head "No, you both are coming with me. You both are tired and need rest." 

They both looked ready to protest so I quickly added, "I am not hearing no for an answer" 

They sighed and reluctantly agreed. I took them to my car and after we got in, I instructed the driver to take us to their house. 

I knew that Ethan was tired so I gently guided his head on my shoulder and let him rest. 

After a few minutes we reached their house. Emma got out and went inside. I looked down to see Ethan sleeping. 

So I didn't wake him up and got out of the car with him in my arms. 

I was as quiet as possible since I didn't want him to wake up. He was already so tired. It was a rough day. 

I laid him on the bed, took his shoes off and covered him with the blanket. 

I exited the room, closing the door behind me. I took out my phone and called my manager, 

He picked up, "Hello Sir"

"Hello, listen carefully I need you to take out details of Angela as much as possible right now and send it to officer Daniels. I'll text you the number.

Also take the investigating team. I want you to find her as soon as possible. Is that clear?" 

"Yes Sir", 

"Good." I said hanging up. 

This time she won't escape. I won't spare her if she is involved in this accident. 

Keeping the phone back into my pocket, I started going back to his room. When I saw Emma's door open. 

She was sleeping peacefully. I saw that the lights were on. I quietly entered and turned off the lights before closing the door behind me.  She might have been tired after all this. 

Sighing, I went back to Ethan's room and sat down beside him. I smiled, and gently caressed his cheeks "Don't worry Kitten, I'll find whoever has done this! They will regret it." 

I got up and went towards the restroom to freshen up. After coming back, I got into bed and laid down beside him. 

I pulled him towards me as he snuggled close to me. I smiled and quickly drifted off to sleep.
