I Failed My Reincarnation, Now I’m Thrown Into a Game World

#Yandere #Obsession #Bloody #Manipulation It was a known fact. Everyone would enter the circle of reincarnation upon their deaths, eventually forgetting their own memories before starting a new life. It was their libration. Alastor knew that, and when he was faced with either being caught and tortured or jumping down, he decided the latter. As much as this life meant for him, Alastor knew he wouldn't be missing much. His potential was too great to waste on this life. However, something went wrong. Once Alastor opened his eyes again, he had to arch his brow in disbelief, “What the heck is the meaning of this?” A floating shadow formed a holographic screen in front of him, with clear words written there on it, [Welcome, Player Alastor! Unfortunately, something wrong happened and your reincarnation had failed. However, now you have a chance to play in our glorious world, Esme!] Alastor had many things running through his head, especially once he noticed the additional line at the end, [Esme Game is going to start in 29:23:59]

Phoenix’s Partner

The next day, Alastor woke up in Evan's dorm. They had spent their night catching up, or more like Alastor milking any possible information about his current body from Evan.

They were friends for a long time, which was quite convenient. The things that Evan did not know about, Alastor assumed that they were things no one else would be knowing about.

Groaning as the sunlight penetrated through the window and slapped him on the face, Alastor slowly stood up and rubbed his face.

Today, he would need to show off a bit in order to be able to start that mission of rising in the ranks.

Fortunately, the only one who knew about his damaged foundation was Evan. To make it believable, he would need to use that broken foundation a bit just to trick him.

'Now, I also have to go out with Arisa later. I did not tell Evan about her and how she was investigating me.'

Then again, he just shrugged his shoulders. There was no reason for him to be too cautious against these two, they were of no concern.

His real wonder was about the people on top. The princess was going to be a difficult opponent, but she was too reckless. She let herself get too close to him, because she thought she knew everything about him.

Arisa did not know that she had lost the battle before it even started.

That did not change the fact that Alastor still gave her a lot of leeway, playing the game against no one was simply boring. He may regret such a thing in the future, however, that was his style.

"My style is to always pursue entertainment."

As he left Evan asleep there, he mumbled that sentence while wishing someone would hear it. He wanted someone to be after him, to make him feel that he needed to work hard.

'Today's schedule is a bit packed.'

The first mission Alastor had settled for for the day would be showing he was not a nobody.

'Though, that may be problematic depending on my execution.'

The class would surely not be only him and then Instructor, many other students were going to be present there. He did not fear any, but managing his power there was a wise move.

Upon reaching the Magic Training Hall, Alastor was surprised that the amount of people was in fact beyond his expectations.

"What is happening there?"

A crowd flocked together, chatting loudly and gossiping while staring at the center of the hall. Some girls were blushing madly as they whispered together and giggled.

A scene Alastor was not all that unfamiliar with.

'Aaand typical!' He almost chirped, 'Who is this little young master I am about to meet?'

But once he pushed some people to get a better look, he was actually surprised. It was not some arrogant young master, but a lovely looking young woman who had a stunning phoenix on her shoulder.

Her orange eyes met his green ones, and she immediately looked away with some red tinting her cheeks. Alastor was amused and stood carefully hidden in the crowd now.

The girl was called by the tall Instructor next to her and snapped out of her distracted moment.

"Miss Vian! You should pay attention now, your Partner's training is not a simple matter."

"Yes please, Miss Vian!" A lady who was wearing some formal dress agreed, squeezing Vian's shoulders, "You need to be careful or Alexander may cause some havoc here!"

'Alexander?'

Vian held the bird close and pouted. She looked around nineteen years old but her behavior was childish and adorable. No wonder this whole crowd refused to move.

She whispered something under her breath, and Alastor could barely make it by reading her lips. He almost cracked up there and at that moment but he held back, keeping the decent appearance the previous body had in these occasions.

Vian then kissed the bird's head, who Alastor assumed to be Alexander and allowed it to fly. She then took a deep breath before chanting as she channeled her mana to her magic circles,

"Hell of Flame would gather upon my call."

That chant was something Vian had decided to use as her standard chant- which was basically the chant she needed to say to activate her spells.

'She used something simple enough, not very bad for her age.' Alastor mused while watching the scene.

Two balls of flames floated around her and then soared higher, following the phoenix Alexander and then colliding together with it.

"Oh my!"

"T, The phoenix?!"

"Is she hurting her Partner?!"

The crowd panicked when Alexander did not come out from that collision soon. But after a minute, they found themselves stunned speechless.

The phoenix emerged from the fire with a new flame coat embracing its body. And Vian's orange irises slowly turned to red as the two Instructors moved towards her.

Both chanted and activated their spells, allowing Alastor to take note of the whole training as it happened.

Vian was a 4 Circles Mage, meanwhile the two Instructors were on the top of the 6th Circle, almost breaking through and becoming 7 Circles Mage.

Their power levels were decent, Vian may even be considered one of the Academy's geniuses.

After making that observation, Alastor pulled himself to the side as he realized that the hall was occupied and they most likely would postpone their class.

'Back to the original plan, I should visit the library and study a bit more about this world as well.'

He decided to show up in this place before Evan's description about this class was tempting. It was a perfect place to show how strong he was. But he was unfortunate as it was occupied now.

So, his next best place that he could use it for his own advantage was the library. Alastor understood a lot about himself while talking with Evan. Now, he needs to understand more about this world and how different it was from his original world.
