Chapter 38: New employment
In this world, the government is based on a peerage system starting from emperor to duke, marquis, count, viscount, and baron. There is also a title called baronet, a particular title given for a temporary purpose that cannot be inherited
If one had to compare this system with the democratic system of a government, then the emperor or king could be called the country's president. Duke can be regarded as the head of a province or state, regulating its own rules. Marquess can be called the head of a prefecture within the province or state. A count shall be the mayor of the city within a prefecture. Viscount can help manage a part of the city if the city is big enough that it cannot be controlled by a count alone. Since the title is deficient, a baron may or may not hold any territory, but he can manage a place more extensive than a town.
