Chapter 30 - face

*Isabella Marciano*
Kon was urging me to drive faster with the excitement in his silver-gray eyes as both he and John fired their assault rifles. He was giving instructions on what turn to take since he's the one familiar with Athens.
''Hard left'' Kon said, I shifted gears and the tires screeched making a little fog as I shifted gears once again, speeding off to a narrow path between brick walls after brick walls.
The calm city was now blaring with police sirens and gun fires from the cops, from our team, and from our enemy. If we don't get this shit wrapped up soon, innocent people will get in the line of fire.
''Right, hard right'' Kon grunted as he reloaded his AK47.
Kon peeked his head on the open window and aimed at the diver of the Sedan behind us. The car stumbled over but the Buick behind it didn't even bother to help the men inside the burning sedan.
Their aim was to get us no matter what it takes. I didn't know Damien was this desperate to get the evidence.
Two motorcycle riders closed in on each side of the Ferrari but John was able to grab the rider from the left, slammed his head three times on the window, and shot him through his helmet.
''Damn old man, take this'' Kon murmured, taking the rider from the right by his gun. The rider was too busy fighting with Kon that he didn't notice the garbage bin on his way, his bike stumbled over and he was hit by the same Buick which pushed the sedan away.
Ugh… these people are heartless! They even killed a few of their comrades!
''Where are we headed exactly?'' I finally asked when I noticed that we're going in circles. He might think I'm dumb but I'm far from an idiot - as far as I know.
''You'll see, agápi mou'' he smirked, unpinning a grenade and throwing it in the car just thirty meters away from us. (my love)
I noticed a glint of something from the top of the building, a sniper rifle. I managed to take a left before the bullet hit me, it missed the driver seat and pierced through the hood of Kon's Ferrari.
Something is not right. How did our enemies get a hold of that place when we were just getting away from the warehouse a minute ago.
John slumped down bending his long legs as he reloaded his gun from the sunroof. I gave him a knowing look which he returned. The top of one of the buildings has another sniper, it's a hundred meters from the other one who hit the hood.
A bullet pierced the windshield, it was too late for me to take another turn when I felt a huge object slammed against the driver's side.
''Isabella!'' John exclaimed but the car was already rolling on the streets, my vision was blurry, white and black spots flashed in my sight. It fucking hurts everywhere, I lost consciousness.

''Did you have to be that reckless?'' Kon spoke. ''You could've killed me,'' he grunted.
I pretended I was still unconscious but my hands were restrained behind me. Even my feet were restrained. Cold metal kisses my skin and excruciating pain all over my body sipped through my bones. From what I can tell, I probably have a slight concussion, three or four broken ribs, both my shoulders were dislocated and my left ankle was sprained, twisted at worst.
Another voice groaned, matching Kon's tone. ''You really fell for this bitch, didn't you?'' a girl said. ''She's a fake, all she wants from you is information and money.''
''I know,'' the twinge of pain from Kon's words was even unbearable than the physical pain I feel right now. ''We still need to know why she's doing this.'' he reasoned.
The girl huffed, clearly unconvinced of what Kon said.
''Would you look at that,'' the girl's voice got closer than before. Her shoes clicking on the floor. I felt her hand collide with my cheeks which made my eyes snap open.
The bright light behind her made it harder for me to make out who she is. The faint smell of her flowery perfume mixed with bleach and other cleaning materials made my stomach clenched in pain.
''Eavesdropping is never polite, bitch,'' her palms landed on my cheeks once more, her ring sliced my skin, the pain was nothing compared to the agonizing feel of Kon's words.
My eyes adjusted to the light, the room was dark and it was cold. My skin shivered because I was wearing nothing but my underwear.
The girl turned her back on me and disappeared for about a few seconds, she was now holding a tattered knife in her hands. She was playing with it like a pro in knives.
My eyes were looking for that liar, I couldn't see him but I feel him watching things unfold.
''Let's begin shall we?'' the girl crossed her arms over her chest, still with the light behind her for me not to make out her appearance. ''Who are you?''
Her question made me grumble, pain shooting up on my stomach with the laughter that escaped me. I spit the blood forming in my mouth and damn, I smell like shit. That's me, isn't it?
Sniffing my shoulders, sweat, and the metallic scent of blood made my nose scrunched.
''Can you get me a towel please?'' I said in lieu which earned me another slap from her.
''You don't get to ask anything, bitch'' she slapped me for the fourth time now. That's how I'll kill her when I get out of her, four excruciating ways that she'll regret ever breathing the same air as me.
''Let's try that again. Who are you?'' she grunted this time, annoyed by my defiances.
''Who wants to know?'' I mumbled again which made her huff.
She lowered her face, giving me a glimpse of her face.
No.
She looks just like me.
''I'm the real Isabella Marciano, bitch.''
