"Holy crap! Just how many players did I kill just to earn this much gold and platinum? I hope this is still legal..."
Chris was currently on his way towards the nearest town to make a save point and log out. He was checking out his earnings from the mass killings he had done earlier. He was so shocked at the numbers and worried that he might get banned at any moment.
"It will probably hit trillions if the guild leaders of the high-ranked guilds present actually come in person."
Although there are so many guild leaders, almost all of them are from lower- to middle-ranked guilds. There were only about a thousand or so high-ranking guilds that joined the "ambush", but almost all of them were led by an officer as a representative.
They don't want to lose face and look bad in public by ganging up on a low-level player. They actually made the right choice by not attending, or else they would lose their fortune to Chris.
'I'm sure as hell that those top powerhouses were just testing the waters. As for Ardent Blaze and the other top guild's leaders who actually came in person, they had just gotten too greedy and couldn't help themselves from attending. Greedy fools.'
'It would be nice if I met those players with "Best" titles, especially that Tank dude who was rumored to have more than 30 million HP. He'll be a good test subject for my spells, especially the ice element that I didn't show on purpose.'
'Whatever happens, our paths will cross at some point, and I'll be even stronger by then.'
After his inner ramblings, he decided to check out the other loot and rewards he gained from the labyrinth.
[Land Deed: Endes(Empire): Half proof of ownership of the land of Endes. Once this deed is bound to a player, the said player will be eligible to conquer the said land to become it's absolute ruler. (Note: Once become the ruler of the said land, some empire might show friendship or hostily towards you.) Can't be traded or dropped once bound. 50% reduction on overall upkeep and maintenance and 1,500% bonus on all facilities performance and effects of buildings built within the land. (Stacks with guild's upkeep and maintenance reduction and facilities performance and effects.). More bonus once bound.]
'Uh... so I'm just half the owner of the land even if I bind this deed to me? Whatever. The bonuses are pretty insane, though. I need to get my hands on the highest-ranked guild creation license to get the maximum benefits.'
The land deed was made of thick and expensive-looking animal skin. It was currently rolled and had a crimson glow to it, indicating that it was of the highest class.
'If memory serves, the highest-attained deed was a town-class deed that gives a 300% bonus and a 10% reduction. But I never heard about empires becoming hostile to them after becoming the owners of the land...'
"Let's see, in order to bind it, I need to put a drop of blood on it."
Chris stopped in his tracks and unrolled the deed to start binding it to himself.
*Sheeeng!* *Shwoook!*
The land deed turned into moats of light and entered his body. Now, it's finally bound to him.
[Congratulations, you are now half the owner of the Endes Continent! Within it's boundaries(includes dungeons), you get 5x the loot and exp from any hostile creatures you killed, while hostile players will have 12.5% reduced stats.]
"Hoh? Another incredible bonus! This should double when I become the absolute ruler."
[Ding! A Quest has been triggered!
Title: My Empire! (SSS)
Description: Go to Endes Continent and conquer it.
Reward: Absolute ownership of the whole continent.]
"Conquer it? It seems that this won't be easy. Where the hell is it even? I never heard of this place before."
'Still, an empire in the real world and an empire in game, huh? Just great...'
Chris smiled wryly at his very troublesome future. He moved forward once again and checked out the rest of the gains.
He set the quest aside for now, as he didn't even know where the continent was. Heck, he hasn't even started a guild yet, so there's no point.
[Crimson Coin: Can be bought in mysterious shop. Can be used to buy items from the myterious traveler. Gives 100 Million Exp when used.]
"Uh...huh? I guess the mysterious traveler is different from the mysterious shop? The experience is good, but it seems too precious to be used just for a meager amount of experience."
'Speaking of shops, the realm shop should have been restocked already.'
[Realm Shop Ticket(S)Max: Opens the realm shop that sells equipments, consumables and miscellaneous items rank S and below, a small chance of SS rank and a very small chance of SSS rank. Realm shop restocks everyday. Can be used unlimited times.]
[Realm Shop: Restock in 14 Hours.
Divine Shard(SS) -- 8M Platinum
Unidentified Ring(S) -- 4M Platinum
Auto Potion Vial(A) -- 20K Platinum
Skillbook(B) Random -- 10K Platinum...]
'Oh? There was some interesting stuff to buy...'
[You obtained Unidentified Ring, Auto Potion Vial.]
'Gotta find some identifier NPC for the ring. As for the vial...'
[Auto Potion Vial(A)Max: Copies the properties of the contents of any potions as long as it was pour inside the vial(except the one that provides permanent stats). Automatically activates according to the user(must be inside the inventory) taking 1 charge per activation. Gains 10 Charge per potion content poured. Maximum of 1,000 Charges. No Cooldown.]
'Not so useful to me, but I'll keep it for now.'
With nothing else to check, he hastened his movement.
A few minutes later, Chris finally saw the silhouette of the city. It was a huge city, about half the size of the capital city of the Moon Empire. It was built a few kilometers from an active volcano.
'Kind of a weird place to build a city...'
[You entered Halfmoon City.]
After casually entering the city as HighRoller, he started to look for the save point so he could log out as soon as possible. Upon nearing it, he overheard something that picked up his interest.
"I'm so excited about the upcoming NPC auction tomorrow..."
"Yeah, me too. I even saved up alot to at participate."
"You want to participated? Isn't the entrance fee a bit high?"
"Heh! Not much, only 1 Platinum."
"Ooooof! "Only?" Are you kidding?"
"Haha! I saved up 1,000 Platinums for this occasion."
"Damn!"
"I don't think that will be enough to buy something useful, though. Those NPCs are heckling loaded; there's no way to win against them on bidding!"
"Yeah, bastards earn so much even from the entrance fee alone. Damn NPCs..."
"But it won't hurt to try. Who knows?"
"I wonder if Despair will participate. That guy killed more than 10 million players a while ago; I'm sure as hell he was swimming in gold right now."
"Tsk! He's too overpowered. What in the hell are those terrifying heavenly spells? No casting time, dealing a huge amount of damage in a large radius, DOTs, and CCs, and it lasted for about a frigging hour! Like, what the fuck, bro?"
"Hahaha! Well, he's too abnormal. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing him participate in the auction. Imagine the faces of those greedy losers when they see their money being used by someone else to bid..."
"Pffft! I can imagine that. I'm looking forward to that as well."
Chris, who was a few meters away, had his mouth twitching. Now, he also feels like participating in that auction just to see the faces of those losers. He's now looking forward to it.
'Ah, that's right! I'm going to auction off a few epic and legendary skillbooks. I'm sure those rich NPCs will bid high for these.'
[You activated the savepoint to Halfmoon City! You can now choose this place as warp location.]
Upon activating the savepoint, he moved directly towards the merchant association branch just a few meters away.
It was a 7-story building that housed multiple NPC merchants that sold their goods. Upon entering, he asked one of the NPC employees.
"Excuse me, where is this branch's leader? I'm looking to auction off my items."
"Oh? Please follow me sir!"
Although his voice wasn't that loud, some players heard what he said and immediately murmured, mocking him because of his disguised equipment. They had no idea that these are the reasons why there were millions of deaths a while ago, a few miles away from here.
"That guy is auctioning off something?"
"Tsk! He has equipment meant for beggars. As if someone like that can put something decent. He'll definitely be kicked out here..."
*Murmurs* *Murmurs*
Chris, who heard their conversation, just shook his head slowly while smiling wryly. He doesn't need to prove himself to these kinds of people.
A few seconds later, he was led to the highest floor.
*Toktok!* *Creak!*
"Branch Leader, this gentleman here wants to auction off some items."
"Oh? Please sit here young man."
"Thanks!"
"May I kn-"
The office room was just plain and simple. Upon sitting, he directly showed what he wanted to sell.
*Bam!*
"I want to list these items for auction for platinum coins only."
""!!!""
The two NPCs were shocked upon seeing the things he put on the table.
"T-this... You, go serve our dear customer some tea!"
"Y-yes sir!"
Upon sending the employee out, he checked the items on the table.
"Hmmm...these are geniune epic and legendary ranks skillbooks... 58 legendaries and 317 epics..."
"..."
He had tens of thousands of elite to legendary-ranked skillbooks, and these won't even make a dent in his collection. Of course, he only gave the not-so-useful ones. But for these NPCs, these skillbooks are extremely valuable.
"Dear costumer, Are you sure about auctioning these up?"
"Yes!"
"Alright! Please take this."
"Hm?"
The branch manager gave him a black card with the merchant association logo.
"This is an Ultimate VIP card, sir. From now on, you're one of the most valued customers of the association, and you'll get a 25% discount and sale price on any purchase you make or items you sell at any of the association's shops."
[Merchant Association VIP card(S)Max: As long as in the inventory, +25% discount/sell price to any NPC shops(stacks).]
'Heeeeeh. Isn't this nice? I should have 75% already... Heh!'
"Thank you!"
"It's my pleasure sir."
After a few talks, Chris left the building afterwards and directly logged out.
