[Your building has been completed!]
Chris has finally completed his temporary headquarters. It was instantaneous because it was the first time building. The remaining future buildings will take time to construct.
"Phew! This one should come next..."
[Guild Creation License(Ultimate): Allows the user to create a guild. 25% reduction on overall buildings upkeep and 1,000% bonus on all of the building's effect and performance. (Stacks with land property bonuses.) Requires a building to serve as headquarters.]
"Uh... I should probably go inside the building first. Tsk! There are so many conditions..."
He entered the recently constructed building with an annoyed expression. The building is 300 meters tall, 150 meters wide, and 150 meters long. It had a total of 15 floors, just your typical rectangular building.
Even without the furniture, the lobby's interior was remarkably large. He surmised that it must have involved some form of spatial technology. He hoped that the other levels, especially the top ones, wouldn't have the same technology because it may obstruct views of the outside, particularly of the lake.
[Requirement has been met. Would you like to proceed?]
"Yes!"
[Please name your guild.]
'Ermmm... What should the guild be called...?'
He was in a pickle. He was terrible at naming things.
'I guess I have to ask them...'
In the end, he decided to consult his friends in the chat group. After a few minutes of deliberation, they finally agreed on a name, which is also the name of the chat group.
[Congratulations! Your guild, "Lazy Dragons", has been successfully created!]
[DING!]
"Huh?"
A world announcement suddenly resounded in the sky.
[World Announcement: Congratulations to player "Despair" for being the first to successfully create the guild "Lazy Dragons" with Ultimate Foundation! He is rewarded with Building Construction Speed Up Ticket(S), Guild Prestige Scroll(S) x 10, 10,000 Platinum Coins, and 10,000 Fame. His achievement will be recorded in the annals of history!]
The world announcement lasted for two more times before it became silent once again.
"Hey, seriously, this game system didn't even ask me for permission first. Although I will always agree, at least ask me first, man!"
*Sigh!*
"Okay...next should be..."
[Dawn' Strike has joined the guild!]
[Mr.sOHandsOme has joined the guild!]
[Black Rose has joined the guild!]
[White Rose has joined the guild!]
[...has joined the guild!] x8
"Next!"
[Dawn's Strike has been appointed as Vice-Leader!]
[Mr.sOHandsOme, Black Rose, White Rose has been appointed as Officer!]
[Windy Whisper, White Lotus, Tinkerbelle, Rainy Daze, Crimson Pixie, Roaring Steel, Dusk's Embrace, xoxoJULIAxoxo has been appointed as Veteran!]
The Vice-Leader and Officers have the authority to obtain items from the treasury, promote/invite/kick a guild member with a lower rank than them, and construct/upgrade/demolish a structure. They can also lead the entire guild in times of war, dungeon expeditions, and raids. Pretty much, they have almost equal authority as the leader.
Meanwhile, Veteran ranked members have the ability to invite/kick guild members with lower ranks than them, have limited access to guild items, and can lead up to a million guild members in the event of war, dungeon expeditions, or raids. You cannot refuse the call of the officers or veterans unless you have a good reason.
There are three more ranks, or rather thirty, below them: Elites, Journeymen, and Initiates. Each of them has ten tiers, making it technically thirty. Their weekly salary will depend on their rank. 1–10 gold for Initiates tier 1–10, 20–200 gold for Journeymen tier 1–10, and 500–5,000 gold for Elites tier 1–10.
Their ranks have an experience point system called "Contribution Points" that they can earn through the guild's daily quests. They can either rank up through that or have significant contributions deemed significant by the highly ranked members.
They can also use the points they earn to exchange for currency and equipment in the Treasury; 10 contribution points are equal to 1 gold coin. It was quite generous, as the other guilds, even those in the top guilds, only do a tenth of what his guild does, from salary to exchange rate.
After appointing his friends to their respective positions in the guild, everyone was satisfied except Darryl, who wanted to be the vice leader. But after a few smacks here and there and knowing the responsibility of a vice leader, he turned pale and finally surrendered. He really just wanted the position because it sounded cool, which made everyone smack him a few more times.
Peter was the best person for the job, so managing the guild should be easy for him. He has the most stuff to do, but Chris didn't worry about that as, among the three of them, he was the smartest and most diligent.
"Next!"
[Guild Leader "Despair" has deposited Pet/Mount Materails(S-SSS) x98, Skillbooks(C-A) x16,500, Equipments(B) x22,000, Equipments(A) x722, 2,000,000,000 Platinum Coins and 200,000,000,000 Gold Coins in the guild's treasury!]
"Haaah... finally, my inventory looks cleaner now!"
His friends, who saw the notification, instantly froze on the spot. They started to doubt their own lives and wonder if they were playing the same game as him. Had they known that he was even happy after dumping that stuff in the Treasury as if he had just thrown out garbage, even he might have gotten a beating from them.
Amanda, who was just being herself, immediately took a picture of their treasury, as well as the salary and exchange rate, and posted it on her forum blog. No one minds her as it is her hobby. It's also a good form of advertisement for their guild. At least their leader won't have to do it himself, as they surely know he will if no one does.
After dumping his stuff in the guild's treasury, he left to do his quest. He left all of the guild management to his friends, as he didn't have time to do this kind of stuff.
He also gave the building construction speed-up ticket and guild prestige scroll to Peter. The first one gives the ability to instantly finish a building that was being built and had a cooldown of one week. As for the other one, it gave 10 million guild prestige points each, the guild's version of experience points.
*******
Minutes before Chris created his guild...
Inside a fortress-like dungeon, 24 women can be seen battling a horde of orcs and ferocious beasts.
"Oryaaa~!"
*Bam!* -427,000
A pink-haired little girl can be seen plowing through the horde of monsters. She was clad in a full legendary-ranked set of armor and a shield and has a heavenly-ranked mace for a weapon. Aside from being tough, she also deals an insane amount of damage.
The rest of the girls who saw it have their mouths twitching. They don't even know if they are still needed in the dungeon. Maybe we can just sit and watch her clear the dungeon on her own? They thought. But they won't do that as they knew that combat skills are also as important as equipment quality.
"Haaah! I'm a magic damage dealer, and I can only do a third of her damage now."
"Y-yeah. God knows how much her damage output would be once that pet egg of hers hatched."
***Sigh...***
"Muuu! So unfair! Why is Lord Des only giving to Eriri and not to me? I'm also his number one fan too, you know!?"
A certain red-haired little girl was pouting and complaining about the unfairness of Chris. Hey, just because you're a fan doesn't mean you're entitled to get a present from him! This is what they said in their minds.
After finishing off the monster wave, they all sat down and took a break.
"Hey, Eriri! Can you tell Lord Des to add me as well? I want my gift too."
"Okay, Shasha!"
*Clap!* ""Yay!""
"Hmph! Since that man owes us, the Dark Divas, twice, he has to pay up."
The rest of the girls had their mouths twitching once again after seeing the dou's antics while rolling their eyes at the tall, auburn-haired woman. If it was really that easy, maybe they can ask some too? They thought.
Just in the middle of their rest, a world announcement resounded in the sky. It was the man that they were just talking about.
"""..."""
After the long silence, the two little girls broke it.
""Yay!""
They were happy that their idol had finally created a guild for himself. Although they always wanted him to join theirs, men are not allowed, and he is no exception.
"So he really is that person in VIP room #7..."
"I already told big sister Rana that it was Lord Des. Hmph! I don't lie."
"Hehehe. Yes, yes. I won't doubt little Eri again. Waaah, you're so cute when you pout..."
"S-shtop pwinchwing mweee...!"
***Giggles!***
While the rest of the girls were giggling at the cuteness of the little pinkhead, Hannah, who was a bit far away from the group, was just staring at the sky in a daze while murmuring. Miya, her aide, was just behind her, looking at the sky as well in a solemn manner.
"Miya, I'm sure of it now..."
"Yes, your highness. It should be 100% him."
"Lazy, huh? Wasn't that the opposite? Stupid Chris, when I see you again, I'll make sure you give me a present too. Hmph!"
"..."
Miya who had a solemn look suddenly had her mouth twitching. Her lady still can't get over with the birthday present, Chris has given to Eri. She was so sure that he will cough out a ridiculous amount of gift for her lady just to appease her.
'I'm so glad that you're doing fine. We'll definitely meet again soon...'
Although she appears to be mad at him, her longing and love for him were immeasurable. The same can also be said for him. Their meeting will be really soon.
"Alright, girls, let's move! We have an S-rank dungeon to clear. Hmph! That stupid man will have a lot to answer for from me when we meet once again."
"Hannah?"
"Big sister Hannah, what do you mean by Lord Des answering you?"
Just after her murmurings, Hannah has become more energized. She will work harder to catch up to him. She didn't know that he also does the same.
"Ermmm... nothing! Trust me, little Eri, you already know who that scoundrel is."
"Huh?"
"""???"""
The girls were confused by what she said but didn't ask any further questions. Rana, who was just beside her, had a glint in her eyes. She already had a guess as to who the mysterious "Despair" is.
*******
*Achooo!*
"Uhhh... Someone must have been talking about me. Ah! I'm sure everyone does. I almost bit my tongue. But can you actually sneeze in Gaia? What a weird game..."
Meanwhile, Chris was on his way to the labyrinth first. He plans to save the coordinates of its center using his memory stone. With the exploit that he will do there, he is sure that he will never run out of money or resources.
