I Can Make Everything Level Up II: Sigma

Sigma wakes up in the middle of a forest and close to a hut that monsters fear for some reason, soon he realizes that something is wrong with him since he lost his memories, but he calls that a single girl was with him on his tenth birthday and that they were attacked and she was taken by some unknown people. Sigma assumes that she is the key to his lost memories and decides to look for her, but soon he finds himself in a world that has been taken by monsters and demons where few people are still alive. While he looks for a way to fight and survive, he learns that he can make everything level up. Sigma's journey to find answers will be a long one, in a world where the gods abandoned people, most of them had given up on life and only wait for the day of their deaths without struggling. For them, Sigma will become a being of legend, and for Sigma himself, he will learn that he is truly a mistery. Many years have passed since his birthday and while he lost his memories he is way too good at fighting and always keeps his cool... what is the relation between Sigma, the girl, his lost memories and the disappearance of the gods? The beasts recognized the danger that Sigma represented to them, and most of them kept their eyes on him. Still, Sabrina used Fireballs to spread their focus. Unfortunately, the beasts fired some wind arrows and made them explode before they could hit them.

[The spell Wind Manipulation is now available in the skill Shop.]

When they were fifty meters away, three of the beasts began to attack while firing Wind Arrows, while the others began to fly to the sides. Sigma fired his next arrow after charging just for a short while and ended up repelling one of the magic projectiles. Still, it barely scratched the face of the beast, it had lost too much firepower…

Still, the beast flinched for a moment, and Sigma had the chance to put an arrow into its eyes. After hearing the sound of wings flapping nearby, Sigma noticed that the four enemies were trying to fly toward them.

"You two! Right side!" Ed shouted to Sigma and Sabrina.

The enemies had split into groups of two, so Ed was planning to face two of them by himself. Still, Sigma summoned two arrows and then fired them in the faces of the two beasts on his side. They turned their heads to the side and prevented their sight from being lost. Still, they flinched for a moment, and that slowed them down. Not to mention, they lost sight of Sigma for a moment, who grabbed his spear and then clenched his teeth before swinging his spear in a wide arc and hitting the faces of the two beasts with all his might. The weapon cut their heads in half.

Sigma heard some explosions from his back and confirmed that Sabrina still decided to help her brother. He didn't know if Sabrina had that much faith in him or if she didn't want to risk her brother getting hurt over Sigma. Either way, Sigma managed to do things by himself. Unfortunately, when he turned to the side, his left leg was hit by a wind arrow, and it pierced quite deeply, making Sigma lose half of his health.

[You learned the passive Pain Resistance.]

[You learned the passive Wind Resistance.]

"... I guess this is the result of having low resistance," Sigma thought after he endured the shocking pain.

The beasts kept attacking, but Sigma swung his spear around and blocked the wind arrows. Eventually, the enemies on the other side were dealt with, and Ed approached to block the attacks of the final ones.

While working together, Sigma and Sabrina finished off the final enemies, and then Eclair approached to check Sigma's wound before using Heal. He could use it as well, but her mana had that purpose alone, so he decided to rely on her.

"Thanks, this is enough," Sigma said once the bleeding in his leg stopped, and he could step without feeling too much pain.

"As expected… those things are a pain in the ass," Ed said and then approached the bodies. "Still, we should be able to deal with them a bit better if we use their feathers."

Ed began to pull some feathers of the monsters, and then he added them to his protectors by using some threads… Sigma wondered if that would be enough, and it seemed a bit of a rustic way to use monsters' parts.

"It can't be helped agaisnt these numbers and enemies, but I guess you need some defensive gear, Sigma," Ed said once he realized that Sigma didn't have anything that could work with the feathers.

Sigma had realized that a long time ago, but there was something that he hadn't realized… while it wasn't much of an armor, he also could improve his clothes and boots. It would be better to level up something of high quality, but for now, he will have to make it do with what he has.

Leather Pants - Lv 0 (0/10)

Durability: 04/05

Cotton Shirt - Lv 0 (0/10)

Durability: 05/05

Leather Boots- Lv 0 (0/10)

Movement Speed: + 01

Durability: 05/05

At least the boots added to his movement speed… not that he realized that until now. It looked like it was different from ordinary speed… if that was the case, his parameters helped him in more aspects than he realized, like reflexes and perception speed.

"I can only work on the durability for defensive purposes, but even if that helps me, which I doubt that it will, it can only work for so long with the parameters alone," Sigma thought and then noticed that the others were staring at him. "Let's get going after you get the magic stones. It will be more beneficial for all of us if we keep decreasing the number of those monsters around."

Ed nodded and then went to work. Thanks to that, Sigma had an idea. He should see what kind of effects and skills he could get from his clothes. He will have to make them level up at least twice for that, though. While he could end up wasting a lot of mana, it was another risk that he would have to take.

After leveling up his shirt and pants, much to his surprise, he actually could unlock the Endurance parameter for his shirt. He wondered why the same thing wasn't possible with his bow… was it because more than one thing affected the weapon, like the arrows and his aim? Either way, he decided to keep leveling up the shirt, and once he had twenty skill points, he was able to unlock the Resistance parameter… which would be more useful against those birds. Naturally, he used all the skill and status points.
