Meeting Brutus

William could immediately feel the difference, his skin and muscles got a little bit tougher. It wasn't a big difference, but William was sure that this technique would benefit him a lot in the future.

It wouldn't increase his strength by a lot, but his defense and chances to survive battles would increase a lot through it.

He swiftly travelled back to the city where he met Brutus the first time. He wanted to buy metal to strengthen his body. Luckily he still had a lot of money from when he defeated Brutus. He soon reached the city, the last time he came here he didn't pay much attention to his surroundings, but the city was named forest town. It was named "Forest Town" because the city had two halfs. The first half was the one William was in and it was like a normal city, but the other half was a complete forest with a few houses in between.

William quickly went to the closest metal shop when he arrived. He bought bronze, iron and gold ores. He didn't know which one of these would help him the best, but he just assumed that mixing them would help. After all the goal of the technique was to forge your body to be the ultimate metal, so how could he just use one metal. He also bought a book that explained the difference attributes and uses of different metals.

From the book, he assumed what the benefits he would get from these metals were: strong resistance against heat or electricity from bronze, very strong defense from iron and increase in weight from gold. The increase in weight would make his punches heavier, so it was very useful if he wanted to throw extremely strong punches.

Of course they would also offer other benefits, but those were the main attributes of the metals he bought and he assumed that were also the powers he would gain if he used them. He was very excited about that. All of the metals were amazing and they weren't even magical metals. How strong would he get once he was ready to use ores of magical metals?

But he didn't have much time to think because he saw Brutus walking in his direction. Brutus spoke only a few words „we need to talk about what you did."

This utterly shocked William, was he found out already? And if people found already out about the assassination then why wasn't he arrested yet? William knew he had no chance if the military was involved, so he just nodded and followed Brutus, in hopes that things weren't too bad.

They soon reached the headquarters of the military in the city. William had to gulp. He was now sure that the military found out something, but they didn't seem all that hostile towards him, he just hoped that he wouldn't get arrested.

But if he were to be arrested he wouldn't resist the arrest, simply because he would be transported back to the other world soon. It was the perfect way to escape the situation. He would only defend himself if they planned to execute him.

Brutus saw Williams nervous expression and chuckled. They had different intentions then William thought of. They valued strength and William was strong, so they'd rather put him to use.
