With the end of the civil war and the beginning of the reconstruction and rebirth of Japan, the new threats faced by the recuperating nation is no longer inside but on the outside. Faced with these dangers, the country and the people alike are not lacking and if needed, can overpower any of these challenges.
However, this doesn't mean that everything that may damage or cripple the nation is all in the outside. In truth, at what can be considered as the heart of the nation, the place where peace, unity and order came from and spread through all other place, the one who started it all is facing a dilemma that may undo everything that he has worked and bled for all this time.
"How is he?"
"He's not getting better."
With the dissolution of their previous world, the realm of Yomi, as that place has been named as, has been permanently separated from the world and with it came pieces of identity, memory, thought and even fate that had to join that now condemned world into its absolute deletion from existence.
"Although he has remembered things, it isn't fitting his current identity. If it is anything to go by, Maya-sama's memories about him isn't enough for him to stabilize back to how he used to be."
"Then, can you do it to at least as near as possible?"
"I'm afraid that it still won't get that far. At best, we can alleviate the pain he is suffering through… But…"
"But?"
"He may lose it all if even one mistake is done."
"…"
As my eyes opened after the feeling of grogginess left my body, I looked at the two people at the foot of my bed and they looked at me with pained expressions.
"Please endure for a bit longer, Hiroshi-san…"
"We will find a way to fix you, I promise that to you, Kou-sama."
Soon, the feeling of being forced to unconsciousness washed over me again as these words was spoken by that sweet, familiar voice.
"Please be well, Hiro-kun. I will be here beside you."
