47: The Fire Bird Leaf XII

It was already night. close to midnight to be precise.

The General was in his room that night, sitting on his bed. He couldn't fall asleep that night but was wrapped up in his own thoughts.

He had lots of Things running through his head that night, and all of his thoughts were simply related to Ares

He didn't wish to be threatened by Ares, but the fact that what he had said had began making sense to him made him feel uneasy.

He had tried unconsciously Linking up the coincidences and stuff but couldn't seem to reach a particular conclusion. He didn't wish to believe that he was actually making sense, The General simply wanted himself to believe that Ares was just blabbing..

"He's no Immortal at all" He convinced himself "He's just a scammer. A freak who thinks too High of himself " He said" Why should I be awake by now Just thinking about what that psycho said?" He questions himself as he sighed.

"I should go to bed already " He told himself.

It was already midnight, and The General had Urged himself to be awake until it struck midnight. A part of him wished to confirm something.

And as soon as it was few minutes into midnight, he shocked his head " That annoying brat... Trying to get into my head, right? He deserves a serious beating!" He snapped as he lay into his bed.

"I'll just get him tomorrow" The General had already laid in bed with the bedsheets over him. He had already turned off the light by his side, leaving the room in darkness.

Few minutes into his sleep, something happened.

The General ha heard something in the darkness.. It was the sound of something moving, something uncertain.

He couldn't make out what that sound particularly was, neither could he tell if it was a work of his imagination.

All he knew was that he heard a light sound, tapping on the floor so of his room.

It was dark so he closed his eyes hoping to sleep off and not let these thoughts disturb him.

"it's all a product of my imagination, I should ignore it" He convinced himself.

But then he didn't think so anymore when a felt a breathe over his face. It was a Humans breathe and that feeling of someone breathing before his face had instantly sent shivers down his face!

He gasped in fear as he slowly flipped open his eyes, but he saw no one before him! He had also stopped feeling the breathe over his face

And that was when he quickly sat up in bed, Feeling odd about it, He had Turned on the light by the side of his table as he looked around.

He vigilantly stared around but didn't see anything or anyone at all. This left him with a long sigh.

"Oh jeez, what's wrong with me? am I really letting him get into my head?" He questioned himself as he turned of turn off the light and head back to sleep.

But he almost Screamed out loud when he saw two bloody eye balls laying on the table where his lamp was.

"Sh¡t!" He jerked out of bed in fear as he almost fell down. But he got his balance with a hand over his running chest.

He slowly turned his head toward the direction of the bed. But when he looked there, there was nothing. No eye balls neither was there any blood.

"Damn, what was that all about? what's happening to me? Am I seeing things now?".He questioned himself as he slowly lay back in bed again.

He had managed to turn off the light while he lay in bed, his face looking up to the Ceiling.

"Just wait till I get my hands on you, you psycho. I'll teach you a lesson" He had his eyes closed as he tried to sleep again in the darkness.

But then he felt the same breathing over his face.

Panicked, he slowly opened his eyes..Only to see two glowing red eyes balls looking at him from Above.

"Ah!" He snapped in fear as he rolled out of his bed and fell down hard on the floor.

The General was in fear as he got up to his feet, staggering in fear as he stared into the darkness.

He quickly let his eyes surf the area and to his surprise he still saw that red glowing eyes inn the darkness.

"What the hell are those..." He questioned as he slowly stepped backwards. The eyes was still hung up there in the air below his bed, so The General wished to slowly escape without getting it's attention.

But as he got to his door, He felt his back bump into something. Or rather someone.

He stiffened, not willing to turn. He stood there, shivering in fear.

"Where are you headed to? If you leave now, you'll miss the whole fun.." He heard a voice.

A familiar video which was echoing in the room without coming from any particular direction.

That was Ares room, The General couldn't help but notice.

"You ..You bastard! what do you think you're doing! Just damn show your face if you're a true man! stop hiding with all these cheap tricks!" The General yelled out loud, panicking within.

Then came a twisted laugher echoing in the room

"Hiding? I'm not hiding, I'm Just right behind you" The voice said as The General gasped, He didn't imagine that what he had just bumped into was.

Ares!

He felt his heart sink.

"Cheap tricks?" The voice came again" And when will you ever learn, that I'm no scammer but the Immortal of your nightmare!"

He said as the light to the rooms automatically Turned on.
