The door of Cornell's office was slung open suddenly by fat middle aged man in a suite

"Sir there is an emergency"

Cornell furrowed his brows asking, "what is it?"

James gulped on his saliva and started speaking hesitantly,

"Sir its better if you take a direct look"

Cornell's gaze turned icy he stood up and followed James the fat middle age man.

Both of them arrived at the Magic Crystal Department of research of the University in a flash but not many knew that this wasn't just a research facility but also the highest security building situated inside the campus as for why, it was because It stored the entire crystal funding of the university.

Number of guards were standing outside a dome shaped crystal building. As soon as they saw James and Cornell arrive one of them went ahead and saluted. Cornell nodded and went inside the room following the guard.

After many automated security and biometric checks finally Cornell arrived in front of a horrifying scene. It was a room as big as a football stadium with all kinds of prime crystals stacked in an orderly fashion but now almost half of them had turned into dust implying that the magic inside of them had been extracted thoroughly.

Cornell widened his eyes in horror he ran towards all the shelves checking them personally. This was half of the universities funds that had gone in over a night. The guard afraid that this would be tagged as 'his fault' he immediately started reporting.

"Sir. Dean no one went inside the room and we didn't see any suspicious activities happen in the area whatsoever"

Cornell snapped and spoke with gritted teeth,

"ofcourse you idiots this wasn't robbed, look at the crystal dust, this was absorbed forcefully by someone and …..and if someone who's able to absorb this much of magic power overcoming our defence systems in over a single night then even if the fucking entire city revolts there wont be stopping that guy"

After looking at the scene Cornell cursed again, "...ahh fuck why did that moron of a senior had to spoil my treasury."

Cornelly just walked away in anger and frustration but before he left the guard timidly reported another thing,

"Sir we ….we also found a house broken which was issued to a student named Lucifer just yesterday"

Cornell's eyes turned sharp but he soon snorted, "how could that brat create such a big havoc it's impossible"

After thinking about it he just said, "Hmph…transfer him to the dorms"

The Head Guard nodded and started relaying orders to his subordinates. James silently followed Cornell sighing deeply.

As for who this 'senior' was it was no doubt Lucifer who had absorbed the crystals unknowingly last night. Cornell didn't know that If not for Lucifer's body already having the spiritual energy left by the gods, the amount of magic particles devil horns would have required would be more than sufficient to run dry Tuberg city for a few weeks.

Lucifer's Abode…

Lucifer looked at the time it was an hour until the class was going to start so he decided to visit the library.

The library was situated in the Non-Combat zone as most of the books situated were to be used by the students of non-combat departments. There were already many students reading different kinds of books in the hall. As soon as Lucifer stepped inside all the eyes turned towards him in. His black Combat Uniform was rarely seen in the library. Afterall it was rare for Combat students to read books about science and history. The students of other departments often called these black uniforms as brutes.

Lucifer heard some gossips here and there as soon as he entered the library which filled his ego thinking his looks had attracted everyone's attention.

The library was huge. All the books available in shelves were only the most popular one's while the rest were to be found on a huge centre table by searching though the data servers and downloading it on one's quantum watch.

This being the system of books, it gave off an old feeling to the library ofcourse the books were virtual and were just placed there for getting the feel of actually reading one but the architecture was also sort of ancient.

Physics, Mathematics, chemistry, Biology all kinds of major sections were available which were further divided into sub sections like astro-physics, nuclear physics, Organic Chem, thermodynamics etc.

Lucifer went to the physics section as it was nearest to him and started reading books about thermodynamics.

Lucifer shook his brain as if someone had just hit him. He immediately opened the system panel and read through the recent messages.

"Gulp…didn't I just start reading …how could this be…"

Lucifer started to go through all the pages of the virtual book and shockingly found out that he could remember each one of them. Lucifer kept the book back in haste and picked up another one and soon the same thing happened.

Lucifer was surprised with delight. He started going on a streak, but just after reading his 11th books did he found out that his brain had started to pain a lot even his breathing had turned erratic.

Lucifer sat down recalling the information he collected. He opened the system panel but the knowledge acquired section still showed nil. Lucifer even before getting the system had basic quantum coding knowledge but even that didn't qualify as acquired knowledge. Lucifer was confused about this. He started to contemplate.

"Maybe I am just inserting information in my brain even if I recall entire text books it doesn't mean I have the knowledge about them"

Lucifer was thinking more and more but just then he noticed the time on the clock it was 10 am so he immediately took off from the library to the combat class section.
