The White Snake Sage paused in thought, observing Orochimaru, whose face was filled with a desire for knowledge, and exhaled a long stream of white smoke.

The sage spoke, "The reason why spiritual power and chakra conflict is something I don't fully understand. However, once a human develops chakra from a young age, they no longer have the opportunity to awaken spiritual power."

"I've long advised you not to practice the Living Corpse Reincarnation technique," the sage added, almost sounding concerned. "Now, your soul is damaged, and you can't even practice sage techniques."

"Hehehehe..." Orochimaru suddenly began to laugh. "I see. But since I chose this path myself, I will never regret it."

"In that case, there's nothing more for me to say," the White Snake Sage replied calmly.

Orochimaru licked his lips with his tongue and asked again, "I wonder if the White Snake Sage could tell me, who were the beings that ruled the world a thousand years ago?"

The White Snake Sage looked at Orochimaru with cold eyes. "Orochimaru, knowing too much won't do you any good."

"This is my wish," Orochimaru said fearlessly, spreading his arms wide. "I can accept whatever consequences come."

The two gazed at each other for a long time, neither backing down.

"Very well, since you're so eager to know."

The White Snake Sage's long body coiled and slithered, its enormous head moving closer to Orochimaru, who was enveloped in white smoke.

"A thousand years ago, a woman named Kaguya descended from the heavens and ruled the entire world, revered by the people as the Rabbit Goddess."

"I've heard of the legend of the Rabbit Goddess," Orochimaru's eyes gleamed. "So, she was a real person. But why did such a powerful being disappear?"

Seeing that Orochimaru remained undeterred, the White Snake Sage retracted its body.

"Later, Kaguya was sealed on the moon by the Sage of Six Paths," the White Snake Sage said in its ancient voice.

"Again, the Sage of Six Paths!" Orochimaru stepped forward, asking excitedly, "Since chakra is an external energy, then where did the Sage of Six Paths, the founder of Ninjutsu, come from?"

Whoosh.

The White Snake Sage exhaled more smoke and revealed a startling secret. "The Sage of Six Paths, whose name was Hagoromo, was Kaguya's child."

"I understand!"

Orochimaru's eyes widened, and he began to laugh loudly.

"I finally understand!"

He even started gesticulating wildly.

"So that's how the Bloodline Limits passed down from the Sage of Six Paths came to be."

"For example, the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan—it's far superior to those Bloodline Limits created by combining different chakra attributes." His tone grew more fanatical. "It seems there must be a connection between the Rinnegan and the Sharingan."

"You know, don't you, White Snake Sage!" Orochimaru leaned closer to the sage. "Tell me, tell me everything you know!"

"Don't be so presumptuous, Orochimaru!"

The White Snake Sage's voice turned cold, and the large jewel hanging around its neck began to emit a faint white light.

Orochimaru ignored the sage's rebuke, grinning widely. "Come on, tell me quickly!"

"Presumptuous!"

"How dare you show such disrespect to the White Snake Sage!"

Three voices scolded as three figures dressed in shrine maiden outfits suddenly appeared, blocking Orochimaru's path.

"Tagorihime, Ichikishimahime, Tagitsuhime," Orochimaru's fanatical gaze turned cold, locking onto the three snake maidens standing before him.

A sinister smile appeared on his face, and he took a step back, speaking slowly, "Don't get so worked up. I merely wanted to ask the White Snake Sage some questions."

"Orochimaru!"

Tagorihime's beautiful face suddenly twisted into something terrifying, a long snake tongue flicking out of her mouth.

"Ryūchi Cave is not a place where you can act recklessly!"

Ichikishimahime's face also transformed into that of a snake as she spoke. "How dare you offend the White Snake Sage!"

Tagitsuhime's face changed as well, threatening him. "If you continue this behavior, you will lose the support of Ryūchi Cave."

"I understand."

Orochimaru raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and took a few more steps back.

He looked at the White Snake Sage and said, "I apologize, I got too excited."

"I'll take my leave now." He smiled strangely again and slowly exited the White Snake Sage's dwelling.

After Orochimaru left, the three snake maidens immediately returned to their beautiful forms and bowed to the White Snake Sage.

"My lord," Tagorihime asked, "Is it alright to have told Orochimaru those things?"

The White Snake Sage replied calmly, "Don't worry. He doesn't know enough to act on anything."

"So, what choice will Ryūchi Cave make after this?" Tagitsuhime asked anxiously.

"We'll wait and see," the White Snake Sage said steadily.

"But if that Uchiha really can deal with Kaguya, perhaps it will be the opportunity we've long awaited to transform into dragons," Ichikishimahime said urgently.

The White Snake Sage continued to exhale smoke, not responding.

"The situation is still unclear!" Tagorihime argued. "No one knows if the Ōtsutsuki will be resurrected or defeated. All we need to do is wait."

"I understand," Ichikishimahime replied, somewhat reluctantly.

"Cowards! The worst that could happen is maintaining the status quo, and that's all you care about!" A rough voice echoed from outside the cave.

"Shinya?" The White Snake Sage spoke in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

A large red-eyed snake poked its head into the cave. It seemed agitated, glaring at the four others with its one remaining eye.

"What do you want to say?" The White Snake Sage's smoke swirled around it, blocking Shinya's view.

"Useless fools!" Shinya didn't seem to regard the White Snake Sage with any respect. "Are you going to continue leading Ryūchi Cave into decline?"

"Shinya!" Tagorihime glared at the red snake. "Everything the lord has done has been to preserve Ryūchi Cave's legacy!"

Shinya sneered, his cold gaze fixed on the smoke-shrouded White Snake Sage, and said with hatred, "A thousand years ago, you took my reverse scale and led Ryūchi Cave in surrendering to the enemy! All these years, and you're still just as cowardly!"

"Shinya, the lord's decisions were the right ones!" Tagitsuhime retorted. "If we hadn't endured back then, would you have led us all to our deaths?"

"Hmph! What difference is there now between Ryūchi Cave and being dead?" Shinya's mouth dripped with venom as he roared. "How many snakes with demon blood are left? What's the point of breeding so many mindless ordinary ones?"

The White Snake Sage's surrounding smoke dissipated as it rose to its full height, its cold eyes locking onto Shinya. "What do you intend to do?"
