A massacre

If this was about the student being beaten up, then it's Gesine's fault. I didn't do anything except threaten the guy, so I'm innocent here. Or maybe I should have just killed him.

This is getting kind of complicated. If the old man finds out that I'm the demon king, which I hoped the student didn't tell him, but if he did find out, I have no choice but to destroy this place, even if I have to kill the old man.

It's either to kill the old man and continue on or have pity on him and possibly get caught if he does tell someone and start the demon war all over again, which I do not want.

"Old man just so you know I didn't do anything", please don't say that you know my identity.

"This might be a surprise to you two, but I prepared something."

Prepared something? Does that mean he doesn't know anything? Thank goodness I didn't have to kill everyone here.

He blew the single candle that lit the room, and it was dark. All the doors and windows that were closed were suddenly opened, and the bright light from the daylight shined down the room, revealing a feast with foods of all kinds.

"This is a goodbye party for you two," damn old man, this is getting kinda teary. I looked at Gesine, and she was crying; her tears are flowing down her face.

"There's nothing to cry about here! Come and eat, it's a feast you guys!" He grabbed us and sat us down beside him. The thought of possibly killing him faded; I could never kill this man.

We ate the meal they served and drank the drinks they had. We laughed through it since it was our final meal together.

After that event, he led us outside of his house and revealed two horses, a black and white one. They were massive as well. "These two should be enough to accompany you on your journey."

"Wait, old man, this is too much! We can't possibly take this after all you've done for us," Gesine rebelled against his decision of giving us the horse, and I agree this is too much, even for the old man.

"Take it, there's no shame in this," he called over two men who were holding some bags. "These are the necessities that you might need on your journey."

Again, this old man makes me want to cry. "Thank you" were the only words that came out of my mouth.

And it was sooner than expected, but the time for our departure has come. Though saddened, Gesine and I had to leave.

The horse started galloping, and we were on our way. It was a fun memory to remember, but it has ended. But a sudden thought came; I had a question that I hadn't asked him yet.

"Old man! Tell me your name!" I looked back at him and saw his smiling face.

"Call me Artor for now, and I'm not that old. I'm still under 45 years old!" Of course, he is. I just thought I'd tease him, but what did he mean by "for now"?

Artor, that's a name I will surely remember.

We finally exited the town and headed towards a path that leads towards the Holy Empire.

We had been traveling for a few hours now and rested from time to time, but we didn't realize, no, I didn't realize what was going to happen after.

We climbed a small uphill path and saw dark smoke in the far distance. With her heroic virtue, Gesine rushed there with her horse, and I followed her to see and maybe protect the person who was about to get beaten up by Gesine.

We arrived at the place and saw a tragic scene. It was a small village being raided by a group of thieves.

I could hear the screams of mothers protecting their children and the battle cries of the fathers trying to protect them. It was hell.

Then a person came out of the burning village. Is it a survivor or maybe a thief? Anyhow, I looked at the person's face and saw one horn on his forehead, and his nails were black and long.

"A demon," Gesine said as she grabbed her spear.

He approached me with a curious and yet excited face, but at this moment, I wasn't thinking of anything except to kill the evil that did this. I looked at him with my angry face.

"Could it be? Are you the de..." He couldn't continue. Why? Because his head had already fallen to the ground.

With dark purple flames on my hand, I clenched my fist. Why are they here? Were my thoughts with guilt and anger on my mind. I decided to cleanse this village. Though I'm the demon king, I will not allow any unjust killing.

I'm back (ノ゚0゚)ノ~
