I am Rimuru Tempest(Old Version. Rewrite is out.)

The first few chapters are a bit rough since I wasn't sure what I wanted the story to be like. And the story is a bit rushed until chapter 20-25ish since I wanted to get to the point after the kids get their spirits. After that, the story breaks from canon and slows down the pacing. Hopefully, you will give the story a chance. The joke at the beginning with sage is not indicative of how the story will progress, I just thought it would be funny at the time. ... You already know how it is. Someone gets reincarnated as Rimuru and decides that he wants to have a new life with a kingdom, a harem, and strong skills. I am a first-time writer so if you have any tips let me know. It's obvious but I don't own tensura nor its characters and the picture for the fanfic is not my art. If you are the artist of it let me know and I'll change it or add your name I just found the pic on google and wasn't sure who the artist was. I'll try to update regularly but I do have a full-time job so I probably can't do it daily.

Training to become a demon lord.

(So today was the first time I had to scrap an entire chapter. The reason being? I got too carried away, I turned something simple into what could honestly be the last chapter of the fanfic. I still wanted to get a chap out and my brain was on empty but hopefully, the chap is both good and you enjoy this chap. It fills in some of the things that I never got around to writing

I hope it doesn't feel info-dumpy)

The sounds of battle could be heard deep inside one of the rooms in the labyrinth. At this moment they were in the process of earning their rightful title and getting the chance to evolve. When it came to this decision it didn't matter how close they were to Rimuru. If they were not qualified they were not qualified. Ever since they had heard the news of the requirements they had begun working hard.

Thanks to Rimuru's assistance they were able to break past the limits of their race and evolve into specialized races according to what they were capable of. The majority of the monsters who were trained and had battled were no longer the same race they had become when they received their name.

The training that was provided in the labyrinth had been pumped up to difficulty levels that would seem ridiculous even to the strongest of adventurers. But to the monsters in the dungeon, this was not enough.

Shion, who was now a Berzerker oni, had heard that she had fulfilled the requirements to evolve but that she was still not in the best position to evolve. If she reached the absolute maximum of strength and reached her limit then she would be unstoppable in the future. And Shion wanted with all of her heart to be strong, so she began to train and created her own challenge and way to train the battalion under her control.

Her battalion had turned into one of the most formidable in Tempest. Their main focus was to do as much damage without any disregard for their safety. In order to awaken skills through food chain certain requirements must be fulfilled, and Shion's army had put their focus on physical strength and healing skills.

As for the training that Shion had created? It was a one vs all battle in which she would battle non-stop against her own battalion until she fell. With the usage of the bracelets Ramiris had created, they could be restored to full health and revived instantly while inside the dungeon, so the moment Shion defeated one of her own they would immediately pop back up on the entrance to the room and move to attack once again.

It was for this reason she had evolved into a berserker. She had felt what it was like to be affected by rage during the battle against Granbell. The boost she received from the skill Aeshma, lord of fury had remained perfectly clear in her mind. And so by recreating the circumstances, she was able to enter a similar state, but this time she had full control of her mind and body.

It was only through swinging her blade for days at a time without any rest that she had awakened the unique skill "Týr" , a god of war skill that increased her combat prowess tremendously.

And the stronger she became, so did her battalion as they fought longer and harder battles.

Shuna knew she wasn't one of the main choices since she was far away from becoming a demon lord seed, yet that only made her determination to work harder increase. Joining together the greatest minds in magic she made frequent visits to one of the other potential candidates, Adalman.

The lord of death was one of the most devout believers in Rimuru, and for that reason, his ability when it came to casting holy magic was one of the best. Shuna's skills gave her a huge advantage when it came to learning. So soon enough her magic began to break through the limits of what was thought possible.

Adalman also benefits from this since he was able to pass some of his own theories and experiments around with Shuna. And eventually the rest of the magic division in Tempest. The magic division had become one of the most frequent places they now visited to advance the field of magic.

...

Kumara had ended up evolving from a fox into a humanoid form with foxtails and ears. She had nine tails each of which was capable of summoning a different spirit animal with different capabilities.

She had become quite close with the insectoids since they had spent a lot of time together before their evolution so she spent most of her time training with them and with Ranga. Each of the insectoids were monsters in their own right.

Having spent most of their time before evolution training with Rimuru they had been able to learn a lot of different skills. Add to the fact that they had been given parts of Rimuru's own body to assist during their evolution they had all obtained special benefits. And now having gained a humanoid body, with the exemption of ranga, they were able to increase their battle prowess by learning different styles of martial arts. Either from Rimuru himself or from people like Hinata, Hakuro, Carrion, Albert, and many others.

The prodigy child of the bunch, Zegion, had become the one almost every other monster in the labyrinth looked up to. He was the one who would fight Shion whenever she stagnated in her growth to help her reach new insights. As to what he was doing whenever he wasn't fighting everyone else to help them grow stronger, he was fighting the strongest in Tempest.

At first, it was only Veldora who he fought. Since Veldora had taken a liking to him he had begun training Zegion personally. And while at first Zegion stood no chance, the more time Zegion fought the more he adapted and the stronger he became.

What really gave him a major boost in strength was the day Velzard had decided to visit her brother while they were training. Zegion had caught her interest and so she decided to help her brother in training him.

As if it wasn't bad enough to have to fight two true dragons, one of them came attached with a battle maniac who hadn't had much of a chance to battle for the past couple hundred years, Guy.

It was rough for Zegion for a while, but what they hadn't realized was how much of a monster they were creating. Or maybe that is just what they wanted. While Zegion still stood no chance to win against any of them at full power he was starting to catch up. And the quiet insectoid had even acquired new friends.

The hardworking bug would get beat up and train in the mornings and then return to beat up and assist in training in the afternoons.

Souka and Souei had also taken part in the Labyrinth training. They both went all over the place to train. They were in an awkward spot in which while they were strong they were specialized in assassination and espionage, not direct combat.

Souka had spent some time in Shion's death chamber using her semi draconic form, and while she had gained some experience in the usage of it it was not the best place to put her focus on.

They could not put their skills to full practice here so they took to the outside world. After the primordials had joined tempest recently they had placed their best efforts into assisting them on their endeavor to take over the western states that played a part in the attack by Granbell.

The last one who had to increase his strength before the evolution was Benimaru, however, he was busy at the moment with Hakuro. They had entered the territory of the tengu and had been met with a lot of surprises.

What was supposed to be a diplomatic meeting had turned into a reunion and a double proposal.

Long ago in the past Hakuro had met a woman. They had spent a lot of time together until the day they had been separated. Each assuming that the other had sadly passed away. However, that was not really what had happened. And a child was born.

The mother of that child was the leader of the tengu race, Kaede.

They had reunited after such a long time and had somehow ended up proposing to each other. What Benimaru didn't expect were the plans the two of them began to form. A plan that was only aided by the note that they had been sent to deliver.

"If you can convince Benimaru he is free to marry whomever he wants. Enjoy the honeymoon.

~Rimuru."

And so the two of them began to play matchmaker with Benimaru and their daughter Momiji.

Hakuro is not Benimaru's grandpa btw.

Sorry if the chap is not good.
