2 - Not even an opponent.

The end-of-class bell had rung, but Toji didn't rush. He gathered his things with deliberate slowness, aware of the eyes following him. Baek Chaerin, as icy as ever, approached him once again.

"Are you really going? To the roof?" she asked, her tone betraying a hint of curiosity despite herself.

Toji stood up, adjusting his bag on his shoulder. "Why not? I said I'd listen," he replied, heading towards the door.

Baek Chaerin watched him, her eyes unable to help but detail his silhouette. Toji's back was like that of a gorilla, to be honest. "You're crazy," she muttered, more to herself than to him.

Toji stopped and turned to her, a smirk playing on his lips. "Maybe. But at least I'm not boring."

She clenched her fists, frustrated by his calm demeanor. "Do you think you're invincible, asshole?"

"No," Toji replied. "But I don't fear challenges."

He left the room, leaving Baek Chaerin alone with her conflicting thoughts. She couldn't help but wonder what would happen on that roof.

Toji bounded up the stairs, quickly reaching the school's rooftop. The cool wind brushed against his face, a welcome contrast to the stifling atmosphere of the classroom. He walked towards the edge, scanning the horizon.

Chang-dong was already there, his two lackeys behind him. "So, you came," he said with a smirk.

Toji turned to him, impassive. "You wanted to show me how we deal with arrogant people, right?" He could be seen cracking his knuckles as he warmed up his joints.

Chang-dong stepped forward, puffing out his chest. "Exactly. Here, I make the rules."

Toji didn't move. "And what if I refuse to submit to your rules?"

A cruel smile spread across Chang-dong's lips. "Then, you'll learn the hard way. Let me wipe that arrogant look off your face first."

The two faced each other, tension rising. But before Chang-dong could act, a voice rang out behind them.

"That's enough!"

Baek Chaerin had appeared at the entrance to the rooftop, her gaze fixed sternly on Chang-dong. "You have no right to rule here, Chang-dong. This is a school, not your playground."

Chang-dong turned to her, surprised. "Mind your own business, bitch !"

Baek Chaerin stepped forward, determined. "No. This is my business now."

Toji watched the exchange, a glimmer of confusion in his eyes. Did she lose it? What was she doing here? This crazy woman had been belittling him since he arrived here, and now she's protecting him? Is this what they call bipolarity?

Toji looked at Chaerin with a mix of surprise. "Are you here to play the hero?" he asked, a mocking smile on his lips.

Baek Chaerin gritted her teeth, clearly annoyed by his remark. "I'm not here for you, idiot. I'm here because I don't want to see a guy bloodied."

Chang-dong, who had been observing their exchange, burst out laughing. "Look at these two, they look like an old couple."

Toji ignored the remark and focused on Chang-dong. "Ah, you are there, I forgot. I don't know your name, I don't care about it." he said, stepping closer, his gaze becoming fiercer.

Veins of anger boiled on his forehead, his face turned red, Chang-dong regained his menacing air. "I'm going to teach you respect," he growled, raising his fist.

But before he could strike, Toji was quicker. With a fluid and nonchalant movement, he dodged and countered with a precise blow to his face, sending Chang-dong flying several meters.

With just that one blow, his face showed spots of blood around his nose and mouth.

"Ah, I hit a little too hard." Toji looked at Chang-dong with a psychopathic gaze. It's like a predator looking at its prey, already knowing its fate.

From the perspective of the people present, Toji appeared as a demon. The muscles were not there to show off, but rather evidence that he is a damn monster.

With his right hand open, Toji appeared in front of Chang-dong, violently grabbing his head to finally smash his face on the ground. There was boredom in the eyes of the general, not even finding amusement in this "fight."

"I only hit you once and you're half dead? Where's your confidence from earlier?" Toji lifted the man's head by grabbing his hair, showing a deformed and bloodied face, he had avoided his teeth, "Come on, tell me, you came to annoy me but you're that weak?" Toji threw Chang-dong who couldn't even speak anymore because of fear.

Ignoring his subordinates, he quickly directed a kick to his stomach, causing the tattooed man to vomit blood.

"I don't understand," he continued to hit him with his foot, "How is it satisfying to discriminate against someone weaker? I see no pleasure in that." Toji felt no pleasure in beating up this trash, why is this guy harassing a guy from his class for what reason? It doesn't matter, he doesn't care. He just tried, he finds it boring.

Toji stood over Chang-dong, his expression impassive. "Are you done?" he asked calmly, his hands in the pockets of his uniform.

Chang-dong, out of breath, struggled to get up despite his deplorable condition. "It's not over," he muttered, but his tone lacked conviction.

'Damn, this guy is a monster. He's worse than Hajun, I provoked the wrong person.'

Baek Chaerin, who had watched the scene from the entrance to the roof, approached, her gaze alternating between fear and frustration. "Enough, you crazy lunatic. You've proven your point."

Toji turned his gaze towards her, a smirk appearing on his face. "I haven't proven anything. I just defended myself."

Kim Suhyoon, since the door opened, watched with a mixture of admiration and apprehension. He had never seen anyone stand up to Chang-dong like this.

"If only I could be as strong as him..." he murmured under his nonexistent beard.

Baek Chaerin crossed her arms, her gaze fixed on Toji. "And now? Are you just going to let him go like that?"

Toji shrugged. "It's not my job to punish him. He got the message. Do you take me for a harasser?" He was giving her weird looks.

"You? You're just a crazy freak with only big muscles. Nothing more." Baek Chaerin looked at Toji with disdain but a hint of fear lurked in the back of her mind.

'This guy unilaterally massacred Choi Chang-dong with just one blow, is he a monster or what? Urgh... Damn, I don't want to see him, just his nonchalant face annoys me.'

Chang-dong, supported by his lackeys, slowly walked away, casting wary glances behind him.

Toji, satisfied, headed towards the rooftop exit. "I'm bored, he wasted my time," he said as he passed by Baek Chaerin before stopping next to her, his gaze scrutinizing her face.

"For someone who claims not to care about me, you sure spend a lot of time worrying," he said with a smirk.

Baek Chaerin shot him a glare, clearly annoyed and disgusted. "Me? Worry about you? Shut up, seriously. You disgust me, who would want you?" Her disdainful gaze didn't waver despite Toji's oppressive stare.

Toji raised an eyebrow, his smile widening. "And yet, here you are, on the rooftop, away from prying eyes. You could almost pass for... concerned, princess." His sarcastic tone only annoyed Baek Chaerin further.

"Cut the crap, you're crazy to think that," she retorted, her face turning slightly pink despite herself, "I just wanted to make sure he didn't kill you, but it seems that didn't happen..." she muttered the last part under her breath.

Toji leaned slightly towards her, "What did you say? I didn't hear. Speak up." Toji had a habit of getting on people's nerves ; he enjoyed being annoying to others, finding some amusement in it in this life.

Baek Chaerin's face flushed, and she muttered something unintelligible before shouting, "Get lost, you son of a bitch!"

Toji shrugged and turned to leave, ready to exit the rooftop. "As you wish, Baek Chaerin. But, you know...", he turned back to give her one last look, "You're quite pretty when you're not angry."

He meant it sincerely, even in his former life, it was rare to come across such attractive women. Chaerin was hot, but damn her character. She hated him, he didn't know why. Whatever, he didn't care ; he had no intention of finding love or anything like that. Not after all he had done on the battlefield.

Toji left with a laugh, leaving behind a confused and frustrated Baek Chaerin. As he descended the stairs, he caught sight of a silhouette fleeing down the stairs.

'It was that boy who was watching us, Kim... something, I can't remember his name. Whatever, I don't find him interesting.'

Toji's stomach growled ; this little expenditure of energy coupled with the boredom of school had brought him back to reality.

"Damn, I'm hungry..."
